New web page with all that you would need to know about going to the match for the 1st time, photos, parking, how do I get a ticket, buses to ground, wheres the bar, will my seat be easy to find, what food can I buy. etc would you like ICT to email you regarding forth coming events and season ticket deals. Inverness CT -V- Hearts
Hi Dougal Im not highlighting your post because your Dougal and want to pick holes. but. The fans we have are the fans we have and Im sure every one of us are appreciated by the club but looking for positive ways of luring fresh fans to the matches isn't a bad thing. ICT really are a joy to watch right now and it would be good if others could experience a good day out too. We had some Watford fans here last week and by their feed back on here they had a good day out. I had a few Americans in front of me at a recent game, Im assuming they were neutrals, as the game wore on they were standing up clapping and cheering at a good performance, more happy customers. As for most Invernessians not seeing ICT as their local team I think that is an opinion of a person above a certain age who cant see past the old firm, you only have to look at the support for the team after the County match to see how things are changing.

It might actually be better NOT to spread the word abut that since being live on TV is actally a disincentive to people to come and pay through the gate. Its an away match Charles. Its a free taster of what ICT have to offer, not the same as being at a live match for the first time but its a step in the right direction. I'll have a word with your mate Tony Hall and see if he can give us a bit of extra coverage on BBC 1 Scotland prior to the game.

Fans in dangerous situation
[email protected] share the love. I have driven on the A9 northbound to go to the dump and decided to drive past the stadium. In trying to do so you get stuck at 3 sets of traffic lights just to turn right. this was in the evening, I then thought its going to be a nightmare for North bound football traffic. Traffic from all directions seems to work really well except the 3rd exit north bound from the A9. I must admit it seems ridiculous that you can veer off the A9 drive through an industrial estate with other traffic, roundabouts and traffic lights and drive back to the A9 quicker than the traffic which stays on the A9.

Please spread the word that our great team will be live on TV in less than 2 weeks and please tell the people who you wouldn't normally chat to about football.

Boosting attendances
To add to the above cheers to all the ones who attend when they can. We also have free tickets for youngsters, how about a relations day when the youngsters who previously attend get to bring along and Uncle, Aunt or Grandparents, as long as they provide email, thank them for coming and email ST info.

Any suggestions. I think we should use the Scotland matches followed by our Live Kilmarnock game on BBC ALBA to our advantage and promote it to people who would never think of watching ICT. If Gordon Ramsay was doing his usual promoting a restaurant, he would improve whats being served up, ICT have done that, he would also have people out on the street speaking to people about the new food on offer and giving out free samples, there is a free live sample 14/9/13 on BBC Alba. We now need to find an effective efficient way of capturing a fresh audience, on an ICT web site? sports page on the back page of a local paper would fresh fans think to look there? I would suggest handing out flyers for the TV game and a fixture card, perhaps falcon square for a start with our mascots, good photo opportunity for wee ones too on a Saturday morning. ICT are doing great right now so why not tell every one. Any other suggestions for a target audience like Bingo or Cinema perhaps. Maybe we need a well respected player from yesteryear saying how well ICT are doing and encouraging people to come along who haven't watched a game for a while on MFR, someone who played for ICT for years and helped knock big clubs out of cup games, some one who even Managed ICT, if only I could think of someone who would tick all those boxes. The summer training for children, is it eligible for child care vouchers as an activity just like any school activity will be?

Helping out Hearts
1100 away fans is a good turn out for us, we are also in competition with County for away supporters heading North. Hearts fans forked out for an away cup game and then have a 6 hour round trip for another away game a few days later. Hearts will get an extra £2000 to £2500 for their fund due to ICTs kindness but the extra number of fans turning up will cover this and more, also made more money on pies and bar. I would say we made more money by doing this than not. Hearts will get an extra couple of grand from us Hearts also get extra revenue due to the publicity of this kind gesture as Hearts fans who weren't making the game donated £5 directly to their fund. We did our bit to try and help keep a big club in top flight football and yes we could apply this to all clubs in the same position and give them cash back when the 650 fans bar is reached. I can remember County laying on free busses for Motherwell to make on the gate money from their fans.
