  1. I'm from that era but I must admit I don't recall him, although I do remember 'Eck'McDougall (father of the ex Scotland star, Ted) who was keeper in a really successful Clach side of the late 40s, and still there in the early 50s when Caley took over the mantle of 'best side in Inverness'. I guess Munro followed him. So my condolances too to his family and friends.
  2. Not strictly an 'away' ground for ICT these days but my golfing friends and I would give Forres a shout. We've always been made really welcome there on the occasions that ICT were not playing at home when we have been up north on our annual golf trip.
  3. Yes, good luck to Hearts, and if we benefit from it, so much the better.
  4. Not often I recognise any of these, but, to me that looks like the house that Caley legend of the early 50s, the great Bobby Bolt, lived in, on Telford Rd, not far from the ground.
  5. Thumbs up from me too for the new home kit. Best for a while. Letsb hope it will inspire the team to great things.
  6. Strong words from Kingsmills, but accurate , which few would disagree with, or at least admit to disagreeing. This issue has been bubbling just under the surface for decades. I too remember the horrific scenes in the 60s, and on other occasions since. It has never properly been dealt with, even under Obama's Presidency, when many thought more would have been done to address it. Now, with Trump, there is no chance. It is clear where his sympathies lie. I fear it will get worse before it gets better.
  7. At least north of the border Nicola has been clear and unequivocal in her advice and instructions. Down here bumbling Boris and his cohorts see fit to massage the rules to suit the puppet master, Cummings. Totally outrageous, and I hope the general public will make him pay for it, sooner rather than later.
  8. I think Nicola, and her compatriots in Wales and N. Ireland have done the right thing in continuing the lockdown . Whilst down here in Englandshire bumbling Boris has muddied the waters with his new 'Stay alert' message, which is almost certainly going to confuse people, or worse still, give them an excuse to ignore the advice of recent weeks. Anyway, I'm just about to hear what he has to say.
  9. Very well written statement. Didn't pull any punches. A credit to our chairman and board.
  10. Yes, both Polworth and White got more than their fair share of stick, especially from some posters, (you know who you are!), on here. Wonder who they will pick on next?
  11. Agreed, she should go. Nicola has shown a bit of weakness in not sacking her.
  12. One of our best ever signings imo. Love to see him back involved in the club. He seems eminently suited to a coaching role.
  13. And, today (14 March), on a day with scarcely any football played in the UK, he scored for his latest club, Tonbridge Angels
  14. But she also said - "There's something liberating about not pretending. Dare to embarrass yourself. Risk"
  15. Fantastic result. We're usually on the wrong end of injury time winners, so great to see us getting one tonight. Good results elsewhere too so altogether a good evening. Well done lads, same again on Saturday please.

  17. I too was surprised that the Tribunal did see sense and overturned the original scandalous decision. A victory for common sense. I hope that James does earn his place for the final in a month's time, and that he will have a memorable match, ending with a winner's medal.
  18. Yes, been out all evening with no access to internet. Great win. Just having a wee dram now to celebrate. Same again on Friday night would be nice. Both the result and another dram. Well done lads.
  19. Unlucky lads. We were well worth a draw, or even a win there. What a great game in atrocious conditions, and a good advert for Scottish football. I had a couple of calls at half time, from friends down here who were also watching it, and they were impressed. Normally my English friends here are pretty damning about the quality of Scottish football. Despite the defeat which might see us lose 2nd spot when Ayr next play, I am really encouraged with what I saw tonight. Once we settled down we had the measure of Utd for large portions of the game. If we can continue to play with that intensity, and skill, we should have no problem regaining, and holding on to 2nd.
