See there has been a survey conducted to see whether clubs would consider Summer Football. 27 would, 9 wouldn't and 6 didn't reply. See Here Does anyone know if/how we responded? IMHO this is a no-brainer, and could improve our standing in Europe - clubs would no longer be playing early rounds before the season started and so would be better prepared. Meanwhile, Neil 'I only do what the clubs want' Doncaster thinks it is a bad idea. Make up your mind Neil - you either do what your told, or you actually earn your salary. Don't pick and choose depending on what the media think. So, what do we think? A good or bad idea?

If Falkirk had won, he would have walked MoM. Was probably MoM anyway.

Just say no.

It was the word "wash" that confused them...

It's on the BBC, so as far as Sky are concerned it isn't happening.

Fundamentally, if an unseeded team beats.a seeded team they assume that teams seeded status. It's the similar to what happened in the league cup this season past. Because the Huns were a round behind, they got our seeding when they beat us as the SPFL held the draw before we played them.

Matchday Thread Inverness CT -V- Falkirk (Cup Final)

Watched the whole lot yesterday too. Despite the fact that Falkirk had the best of the second half, Esson had little to do, most of their shots were from distance. I hadn't realised how comfortable stoppage time was either. Certainly didn't feel like it at the time. If Falkirk had won the cup Grant was a shoe in for MoM - it could easily have been 3-0 at half time but for his tackles.- 116 replies

Beat me to it... Apparently he's been working out and his k is much bigger now.

That's not a blunder. They are ahead of the news as per usual Aberdeen signing policy...

The cup final wasn't Oferes best game, but some of the pish being spouted on here is beyond belief. His hold up play has generally been decent, he might not be as good in the air as you'd think for his size, but has scored with some headers, not least the goal that qualified us for Europe. Ironically, some of the best worki have seen him do in the air has been in defence. I don't want this to turn into a n assassination of our squad, but all our players have short comings - that's why they were playing for us in the cup final last week and not the Champuons League final tomorrow. Doesn't mean they are useless though.

What doesn't help is the media constantly peddling the title challenge myth in their desperation to make it seem like there is a genuine title race. They would do well to remember that the only reason that Aberdeen were as close to Celtic was that other teams took points off Celtic - something the sheep failed to do at all. Indeed, Aberdeen were the only team in the top 7 who failed to take anything off Celtic last season.

No call up for Cammy Bell?

When do they start playing on red & blue?

You're not kidding about re-watching the game being bad on the nerves despite knowing the result. I watched Hunscene on Saturday night and I was still panicking when the equaliser went in.

It can be annoying, but at that time, the ball being over 100 yards from our goal was no bad thing.- 116 replies

I understand that players will move onto what they consider to be bigger and better things. In fact, as we grow our reputation for developing players and allowing them to move on,that should help attract replacements to the club. That said, it doesn't half cheese me off when they end up at Aberdeen.

The 50 yard shot was worth a try. Would have killed the game stone dead if it had gone in.- 116 replies

Can't argue with those ratings. I saw elsewhere that Tremarco had got a 3 from some journalists. I thought that was pretty harsh tbh. Up until his mistake I thought he'd had a decent game, and once he let the ball past he did what he had to do. 5 seems fair enough. Or should that be rite enuff?- 116 replies

Talking about the BBC, I caught a bit of 5 live tonight, and they were talking about it being a bonus about some team being in Europe and how it may help them attract players. It then became clear they were talking about us! Great, I thought. And then Chris Sutton opened his mouth. He's still whining about the semi final! Apparently Meekings punched the ball off the line, and it was the worst decision in the history of Scottish football. What a complete and utter welt.

Ignorant and wrong? Well Chic should know it when he sees it! I too am happy to be ignorant and wrong.
