  1. And if Tremarco stays fit, I wouldn't be surprised if we get offers for him.
  2. Those of us there todayall need a lager night!!
  3. I was just saying to my wife (who has only been to the cup final and the win over St Johnstone last season) that none of today's team would make the cup final team apart from Fon Williams and Tremarco (I know he only started then as Raven was injured). I am still stunned by how much has gone wrong in only 28 months, although I accept the warning signs were there back then.
  4. I'd forgotten about that trying to think of positives!!

    Captain

I thought he was trying to encourage the team and give direction, possibly at the expense of his own game. Perhaps looked different depending on where in the ground you were.
  6. A very poor game, we were fortunate to get a point against a Queen of the South team that I felt were poor at the back: on the few occasions we pressed them they panicked a bit. First half pretty even between two poor teams. Second half we did nothing and could have been thumped, but Fon Williams and (for a change) a couple of refereeing dcisions kept us alive. Fon Williams was my man of the match. The defence need credit for somehow not conceding. Donaldson and Mckay did surprisingly well. Much as I like Raven, he is short of pace now and a couple of crosses were poor. He deserved his booking. I don't think Tremarco is fully fit yet, but the knock before half time couldn't have helped him. His booking was harsh Disappointed in Trafford today, and didn't like his cynicism by deliberately knocking Rankin after their handbags tussle in the second half. He is picking no up too many bookings too. Vigurs tried to encourage and had a few good passes, and Polworth had a couple of good moments too. Our midfield lacks pace. Bell the pick of the front men, but had little to work with. Baird busy but lacks pace. Oakley didn't impress. Calder did nothing when he came on, with Mulraney lively but not having an impact. I share the concerns of others. Two tough away games next, no points and we are getting badly detached. I don't recall an attempt on or off target troughout the second half either. My favourite moment was before kick off seeing Warren chatting with young fans for a while. That shows how poor the game was.
  7. Marley Watkins credited with an assist in the Championship for Norwich tonight, with Morais sent off for crumbling Bolton.
  8. We need at least Watkins and Vincent too, plus Raven for the semi winner and celebration!!
  9. I remember having several defensive heart attacks with misplaced passes and poor pass backs in Hughes' last season, with Danny Devine in particular coming in for a lot of stick. Most of us would see him as a cut above our current options!
  10. How do we know that? He never got a chance to prove himself. Interesting, though that Sutherland and Ferguson seem to always be on the bench at Elgin. We do need to up our development activity.

    Robertson Out

I don't think sendings off due to two yellow cards can be appealed.
  12. I hope you mean 8th! This is a 10 team league.
  13. Not good! As an aside, who was our no 27 today on the bench? Mackay, but no one shown with that number f the squad list in the club website. Another new face?
  14. Go cross country from Stirling to Balloch (not our one!) rather than through Glasgow
  15. I'm guilty of that too! I spent my school years in Corpach, when Fort William were not a Highland League team, and despite being brought up playing shinty and rugby, I always went to their occasional big cup games against Highland League teams. I still look for their results, more in hope than expectation, but my loyalty is now to ICT and I have been a season ticket holder since returning to live near Inverness a few years ago. I'm a realist, not a happy clapper, and have enjoyed the good times, and will continue to give my support no matter what the future holds. As a football fan from Fort William........
  16. I've only used mine for the Morton game and the offer on the Brechin cup tie. Not through choice but due to holiday and family commitments. Am I unique in not seeing us lose this season? I plan to be at all future home games regardless of how we are doing. Either insanity or loyalty. Take your pick!!
  17. I missed today's game as returning from a week off, but "open all mikes" was depressing on the A9! Sounds like we need to get a grip and focus on getting points. Assuming the Fon Williams position is irreversible, we probably need to stick with Ridgers as Mackay is out on loan. Did we play 3 or 4 at the back today? Hopefully Tremarco is ready to start next week, so he and Raven are full backs, but centre backs seem to be our problem. None of Warren, Mckay, Elsdon and Donaldson are impressing. Time for a back three of Raven, Warren and Tremarco? Trafford, Vigurs and Polworth are first picks. We need wide players willing to track back if we go with 3 at the back. I would let Mulraney get a run with his speed, with Calder on the other flank. Up front, Bell is the pick of the signings, with Oakley showing potential. So my team for next week: Ridgers Raven Warren Tremarco Mulraney, Polworth, Trafford, Vigurs, Calder Bell, Oakley
  18. Fair comments KIngsmills and Huisdean, but I feel it fair to seek reassurance that our training and fitness regimes are up to scratch! In my employment, I would be held to account, so why should ICT powers that be not be? Simple feedback can make all the difference to how we feel, as we have already seen this season.
  19. With a disappointing start to the season, albeit probably inevitable with all the changes on and off the pitch, there are some issues causing concern to fans. We desperately want the club to succeed and, at the very least, challenge for promotion, but it would be helpful to understand some of the issues that are causing concern. We respect that some items must remain confidential until they can be disclosed, but fans would be reassured with feedback on: 1. The position with Owain Fon Williams and his likely involvement this season. 2. The implied criticism made by Ross County of the fitness levels of our players and our training regime, as quoted in the Press and Journal with reference to Ross Draper. 3. Possibly linked to the above, the run of injuries over the last two seasons. Hopefully you read this and can comment. Thank you.
  20. Our next two games are against teams round about us in the league at present, so will tell us a lot. Two wins and we could be on the up, two defeats and a battle looms. Hopefully we get our first home league win on Saturday.
  21. Read the comments and watched the on line "highlights" of the St Mirren match. Do we know our best, fit starting 11? From what I've seen and read, everything else being equal and injuries unchanged, I would pick: Fon Williams Raven Tremarco Warren Chalmers Trafford Vigurs Polworth Bell Baird Oakley
  22. A few decent moves and goals from the youngsters.
  23. I always hope for the best but fear the worst....... If we can get out of this group, it will be tremendous after the poor start, but there is a lot of water to flow under a lot of bridges. A win tomorrow night with England doing us a favour will do nicely for starters!
