England look the business
England are a QF / SF team when it comes to the World or any other tournament where it 'matters'. They are probably in a better position squad wise now than have been for years and I think Capello has them playing a lot better. They are still very shacky at the back and they will be exposed by better teams but they can score goals too. Whether the players will be up for the World Cup after a gruelling EPL/Euro season remains to be seen. After winning 5-1 the other night to make sure of qualification the players weren't exactly leaping for job. They gave me the impression of 'Oh sh1t, that's my Summer holidays gone out of the window'...it was in the body language as they came off the park. The biggest problem we are all going to suffer will be the continued and every present media hype about England winning in. Yaaaawn.

Morton Roll Call
It's 17:17 from Cartsdyke :022:

Morton Roll Call
Cartsdyke is the nearest station and is only 5-10 min walk to the ground. I'll be catching the same train too.. :022:

Alba Cup
I'd take Annan away...that'll be a 'home' game for me

Alba Cup
Can't understand why it takes so long for them to draw four teams out of the hat. Doing the draw would take all of about one and half minutes so maybe they are finding it difficult to fit it in amongst their busy schedule(s) :cute01:

GOOD LUCK !
Hopefully the boys on the park will take inspiration from your efforts and put in a good display and also grab a vital three points. A big well done to you all. That is one heck of an achievement and you all have our greatest respect and admiration. If the boys on the park do not do the business then I suggest you head around to the dressing room and rub all your sweaty socks and stinking boots in their faces. ( You can tread on a frog for me whilst you are there too... :( ) :(

Roll call for Partick
Well we were going to try and make this one but the drivers of our trains down here have decided not to go to work this Sunday. Also, Virgin Trains services from the Midlands to Glasgow appear to be ending at Preston. Oh the joys of modern rail travel. If I had a horse and cart I'd be able to get there quicker.

A quality young player...and we let him go. The mind boggles at ICT sometimes.

ICT Supporters London
There are one or two Caley Jags fans down that way 'Part Timer' and 'The Fly' immediately spring to mind. As far as I know there no get togethers. Nothing to stop you starting one of course. I work in London from time to time so it would be good to all meet up now and again for a bevvy or six. Welcome to the forum by the way.

Your favourite ICT team (era)
I'll second that...the Pele years were the best. JR's first season was good too...it kind of went a bit pair shaped after that. Maybe the TB years will outshine the Pele one's, now that would be something....who knows.

Jambo's getting a stuffing
If that is the case then it doesn't really make any sense why teams battle it out for a 'minor' Euro place. Once qualified then surely they must prepare accordingly...but is that too easy. It's like teams down here in Englanshire (i e Villa and Bolton) who went all out to get that Euro spot them couldn't be ersed during the later stages of the competition as noticed by fielding a 'weakened' side.....having said that, the Scots teams don't get to the later stages; they can't be ersed from the start.

watering hole in dundee
The last time I was down that way (Dundee United game when Blackie got the winner) I seem to recall we were invited along to the Dundee FC supporters club bar...not sure if that would apply tomorrow as it's Dundee we are playing this time. The time before that (Highland March ??) we used the Centenary Bar on the Clepington Road which was only a short walk from the ground. Not sure if that is still there or whether its still any good. We are also heading 'up' on the train and should be in Dundee around 1.40pm The ground is 1.5 miles away from the station so we'll be getting a cab to whatever pub everyone is going to. Going to need a cab (or lift) back to the station after the game to stand a fair chance of actually getting home... B)

Lift to Dundee
Being a member of the supporters club does not guarentee you a seat on the bus. The SC has to run within its means as much as possible and subsidising an empty bus is not the way to do it. Members should book their place(s) on the bus in good time to avoid disappointment. B)

Jambo's getting a stuffing
I see Hearts are keeping up with the trend Scottish poor performances in Europe. 4 down on the hour. They've had one shot at goal which was off target. Blackie is on after 46 mins.

GOOD LUCK !
They must have posted Mon, Tue and Weds blogs all at the same time because there was nowt there y'day. I take it the SFA update these pages and not the Marchers. Fully understand if it's the marchers of course.. :016:

Go on Burnleh...
That's a great result for Burnley. I think they will be a tough nut to crack at home. Man U do not seem to have it (so far) this season and will the likes of Ronaldo and Tevez. Only time will tell.
-
GOOD LUCK !
Anyone heard how they're getting on. Nowt on the SFA / Twitter doodahs....?
-
Who's all going to Dundee then?
If we manage to get up at 5 a.m on Saturday then there's a chance we could make this game. First train there and last one back. It could be a long day.

ICT -V- Ayr Utd : Matchday Thread
Pleasing to see we managed another clean sheet. Our lack of scoring ideas worries me but I'm sure we'll come good after a few more games under our belt. The next two league games could dictate our season but non are going to be easy.

Norwich City Manager Sacked
Maybe we should have lost our first game of last season 7-1...
-
GOOD LUCK !
I can't help thinking about them out there and how they're getting. No 'twitter' or 'blog' updates....guess they're busy walking.... Good luck gang and I hope the blisters haven't shown up yet.

Sat 8th August ... Pars v ICT
I think that might just cause your bus to veer in the direction of the pub that's offering free food! How far is it from one pub to the other?...if I can't hi-jack the bus (or get dropped off) then I'll just have to walk from the East End fizz shop.
