  1. ICT would be bankrupt if they adopted that policy, especially on this season's performances.
  2. If the SPL was a fair league (which it most certainly isn't) then we should have 4 x Away games and 1 x Home. I say this because we have already played Motherwell, Kilmarnock, St Mirren and Hamilton twice at home this season. How rediculous.

I just wish they'd go away.
  4. Quality.... :018: ;) Great tribute for Jock....I applaud their decission :thumb04:
  5. We didn't get any off St Mirren either...until the last meeting. More of the same will do for me on Saturday but we need to score more goals. I'll settle for 1-0 though.
  6. ...except last Saturday v Midden. Well, according to the match day thread anyway...
  7. Mrs G and me will be there providing I can still walk after doing the Highland March.

I didn't think the challenge was too bad when I first saw but the reply showed the horror of it. It was certainly a leg breaker. I've not heard how the lad is but he muct have suffered a serious knee injury as the leg got bent sideways at the knee. If he hasn't got ligament or cartlidge damage then he is very lucky. As for the game itself....well...it was awful. Best team won though.
  9. Replacing experience with inexperience...yes, that'll work. What are they on up there? As always with the Toon, it'll end in tears as they grace the Championship new season.
  10. This site almost closed down not so very long ago because of the abuse being recieved. Abuse to anyone on any forum is uncalled for and unnecessary.
  11. Getting humped 4-0 by Falkirk doesn't exactly inspire confidence within the support so what it does to the players godness knows. Had we have lost by a single goal on Saturday and showed real effort then I'm sure the 'fall out' wouldn't have been so bad. 4-0 is a stuffing by anyone's standards but coming from Falkirk it feels like 8-0! Personally I am right behind the team - that is the 'job' of a supporter but, I have to say, I am really glad I didn't make the ten hour round trip to Falkirk on Saturday. To answer the question though, my reply would be a resounding NO, we don't have the bottle. We could have a vocal support like Stoke City but it won't make much differance in my view. I say this because the dedicated - larger than usuall - following to Hamilton and Falkirk did not have the desired effect on the team. Case rested there I feel.
  12. Maybe players wages should be 'performance related'....like in our eveyday jobs, if you don't perform you get sacked or docked pay. Same should apply to footballers I reckon. I'm just glad I had a cold and decided to give this game a miss.

I thought at first they we're singing..."who the **** is Sibierski"
  14. Well it's been a few days now since their appointment to the ICT job and, for whatever reason, I still can't find any 'excitment' about it in my veins. I really hope it all works out fine but reports that TB doesn't think it's his job to motivate players concerns me. I think the boys need motivating....or is TB's appointment in itself enough to do that? IHE is right when he says "We are on the edge of a cliff holding on by the tips of our fingers" but is TB the Rescue Helicopter that we desperately need. All will be revealing in the fullness of time and I truely hope there is enough fuel left in the helicopter before it runs out and it has to return to base leaving us dangling? We have, I believe, a good chance of grabbing a favourable result on Sunday. Celtic were taken to extra time in the CIS Cup semi and may be weary but they have strength in depth and will still be capable, as we all know, of putting a team out to beat any SPL side.
  15. It would be very interesting to see if the club / stewards / match commander et el storm the stand to ask folk to remove banners......just like they did against Aberdeen.....ahem...
  16. I'm always prepared to give a new manager a fair crack of the whip and I hope he does the business but, my gut reacation to this appointment is, we are doomed.
  17. We struggled against Ayr last time out. Killie are the only team we can beat at home this season. 2 + 2 = 7.... New man at the helm by then......we're gonna win the cup.......

    noticed that too Joe...
  19. and to think some players in the top leagues are earning that in a week truely shows how mad the football buisness is. I truely hope they pull through but in the current finacial crisis it will not be easy. As it's a 'community' team maybe their local community (council?) should step in and help out.
  20. Now that Burnley haven't made it the Wembley I reckon Owen Coyle should resign, return to Scotland and manage Inverness Caledonian Thistle....... Really gutted for them after a great performance. The away goal only counting after extra time is nothing short of rediculous, but those are the rules I suppose. I just hope it doesn't deflate them for the rest of the season.

Probably in their contracts...for what they are worth.

On a train heading for Glasgow Central.
  23. We had every intention of going to this game but the weather and subsequent expected travel problems forced us to cancel the trip (good job we did too as we wouldn't have got home). Having just read Brewster excuses....same old, same old.....on the BBC site I really feel he hasn't got any excuses left. Surely now, after spending all this money on new faces it is time for the board of this club to take a serious look at what is happening on the field of play. After the reports of the team being in a bouyant mood for this game it appeared to fall flat as soon as the whistle went to start the game. I wasn't there to witness events on the field of play but the final result says it all. We lost again. Mr Brewster has now secured a new club record of seven defeats in a row. If that isn't a sign of a bad manager / team then I don't know what is.
  24. We found our level last week. I am not contident that we can pick up any points in our next three games. What odds 10 in a row ICT style?
  25. Congratulations and best wishes to you all. The Gringo's
