There are teams out there who, by virtue of their geographical location and mass following, are under a great deal of pressure to get results so it wouldn't be right for the management or the media to dare state that the other team was better. The only acceptable excuse they can come up with is that they had an off day. After all, how dare those teams with a following of less than 10,000 have the audacity to hire a management team that can get players working together and can out play and out fox the big boys.

And if you've no had enough of that come and dig my car out

He's actually singing By a lonely dugout wall I heard wee Maurice call Nothing Neil can take this day away We're by far the better team We've taken points of both old firm Now a Euro place has got to be our goal Low lie the waters of the Ness As they amble slowly by the Longman Road We have pride and we have soul We fear not your green and gold And a Euro place will surely be our goal

I think his length of contract had very little to do with the position he plays and lots to do with his age and fitness.

Please can we take religion out of this debate. I am catholic. I have no leanings towards either of the old filth. I know many catholics who are Rangers fans and many protestants who.s loyalties lie on the other side, Many catholics even support ICT. This whole thing has nothing to do with religion but plenty to do with incompetence and attempts at justifying bad decisions. Anything else has been exploded by the media to try and justify their diabolical reporting methods. Someone forwards a joke by e-mail!! So what. Many, many of us have likely done the same. Catholic jokes, protestant jokes, Bin Laden jokes, Peodophile jokes. Jokes about those better of or worse of. It happens and we all respond to it. Why use that in the witch hunt? Personally I think MacDonald was one of the better refs in Scotland. He made a mistake and he should have been punished yes. Not hounded out like some low life by the gutter press.

Davie, we'll never reason with stewards in weegieland so just put it all down to taking one for the lads and console yourself with the fact we're still unbeaten. See you saturday if this bloody snow disappears mate.

Worse than that if they've also convinced Adam of it.

what a shame the BBC cant get the facts right. Ross Tokely scissor kick??????
-
if selected, will today play his 100th game for ICT and if he scores he'll bag his 50th goal. according to this

Only in the central belt does religous bias come into football so I think I'd trust the integrity and judgement of a european ref regardless of his religion.

Quite interesting comparing the predictions with how things are now. A win for us on saturday would see us five points of second place.

I think its funny. Here's someone coming on with a bit of banter and some see it as offensive. Scotty can we shut down this site and bring back the 03-06 one. At least those who partook then had a sense of humour.

Knowing a few of the afore-mentioned 'Caley Animals' I just cant get the vision out of my head. Tonights news headlines: Tanked up on pink gin and Werthers Originals a group of aged former Caledonian FC casuals, known as the 'Animals, today reunited to bring back the old memories of the past rivalries between themselves and their enemies from the City of Elgin. Around eight animals and two from the Borough Brigs Brigade met behind the Highland News offices for a bit of pre and post match disturbance to commemorate the heady days of highland league rivalry of the seventies. Yep!, crossed walking sticks and the clash of zimmer frames reverbrated down the Longman. Police who were called to the scene where hindered in trying to quell this disturbance as they were overcome by fits of laughter at the sight of those aged hooligans falling over as they failed to realise the zimmers were supposed to support them in an upright position.

Who are the scabs? First off this strike could be deemed illegal. The refs association did not give the statutory 7 days notice of impending strike. Second, the SFA and the leagues have agreed to the demands of the refs yet they are continuing with their action. If they do go ahead they could effectively find themselves out of work. As self employed people they are not covered by the same protection as employed people and they will be in breach of contract. Apparantly the Dutch FA have agreed to supply refs. Whilst I have every sympathy for the refs and accept they have a difficult task I think they have brought a lot on to themselves by not being open and honest and by operating as a secret closed shop. I think this situation has to bring about a serious look at the way refs operate. There are too many dubious mistakes. There's no consistency and now there will be no right to critisise them. If I had any clout the first thing I'd do is put together a committee made up of refs, players and managers and their remit would be to improve the game, improve the standards and be the disciplinarians for all refs, players and managers.

I think this only highlights the point i was trying to make last night I can understand money being an issue though, maybe we are just a bit tighter when it comes to cash up here in the north Kopparberg is also not good for your health the following day dougal May be tighter in the north of Scotland but the site owner lives in Canada. Running a site this size is not cheap and the money has to come from somewhere. To expand it as people would like would cost a deal more. People can have what they have or they can be asked to pay a membership fee. Personally I'd rather it be as it is.

What is wrong is you are disrespecting Alex by saying so Can you please refer to the team as ICT or Inverness in the future, as far as i can see you are just trying to get a rise out of the ex jaggies which achieves nothing other than splitting the support :irritated: dougal He cant disrespect me........I'm a Jaggie

I would like to think we've shown that by playing attractive, passing, attacking football we've gotten results but so long as the results are coming then I'd be quite happy with any style.

All ties will be on a saturday unless its a replay Round 4 - Saturday, 8th January, 2011Round 5 - Saturday, 5th February, 2011 Round 6 - Saturday, 12th March, 2011 Semi-Finals - Saturday, 16th & Sunday, 17th April, 2011 Final - Saturday, 21st May, 2011 Personally I'd prefer a home tie against a team that would bring a decent crowd so we can generate some income to retain Adam and still progress to next stage..................County

Cant be a Caley legend.....he never played for them. As to ICT....to be fair he didn't do too bad for us. 35 when he joined, 55 appearances and 17 goals. I knew Duncan when he was a wee laddie so I'm probably a bit bias towards him and I certainly dont hold any grudges towards anybody who's left us.
-
Thats what I was thinking . Pele left and took Shearer with him yet Pele is seen as some sort of "legend" and Shearer gets slated And I believe that if it wasn't for the support Duncs gave Pele he may have succumbed to his illness a lot sooner than he did.

Airdrie made a mistake and that should be the end of it. They donate the proceeds of their programme at this time of year, every year, to Poppy Scotland and should be commended for this. Not ridiculed for a stupid photo that the person who selected it probably had no idea about.
-
Before debating the merits of MacKay-Steven stop and think........................he doesn't have a club and hasn't this season. How long will it take to get him match fit? Probably longer than till the seasons end. Rooney is a more important subject.
-
Inverness Thistle FC dougal do you have a notebook full of subjects that have been done to death in the past or are you really so niave as you come across?

This is a joint venture among all SPL clubs. Each club provided one shirt to Poppy Scotland to be auctioned for funds. Poppy Scotland are the organisers of the auction. Not the clubs.
