  1. Umpteen County fans mailing Radio Scotland greetin' about decisions going our way. Robbo as you'd expect telling them to dry their eyes. I hope the County happy clappers on here are listening!
  2. Sounds like we're riding our luck BIG TIME!
  3. McBain to start. Good decision from Tel.
  4. Yngwie has hit the nail squarely on the head. County's success today is undoubtedly bad news for ICT. The Highlands cannot support two clubs operating in the upper echelons of the Scottish game - it's a simple fact of social geography and economics. In very simple terms a business looking to spend some money entertaining clients at a game in the coming weeks is more likely to opt for the glamour of a trip to Hampden over the Dundee game on May 1st. To be honest the County happy clappers on this thread make me cringe. My six year old ICT supporting son has more of a clue than these whoppers desperate to bask in the glory of County's day in the sun. The thought of alleged ICT fans cheering on that charlatan Barrowman at Hampden makes me nauseous. Please rememeber to remove your staggy jesters hat and face paint before returning to the TCS next season. One team in Highlands!
  5. Relentless! Seven points clear wth four to go. COME ON!
  6. Bulvitis on at Right back. Proctor into midfield.
  7. Jonny Hayes Jazz every time for me :D
  8. hayes just pinged one off the bar.... ...and Arsenal have just scored!
  9. The wheels have certainly come off County's title challenge. Sorry, I'll get me coat.........
  10. Let's bury these yokel upstarts. Come on!
  11. If anyone was ever looking for proof positive that we are an ex-Highland League club run by welfare league plodders then this sorry tale would surely confirm this fact beyond a shadow of doubt. This was an inspired signing (despite the utter drivel spouted by the usual suspects on here) of an excellent player. Alas, and as expected, we managed to make an utter pigs ear of his exit. Marius is clearly owed every penny he's claiming. The clowns responsible for this debacle should do the honourable thing and stand down from the positions which are clearly beyond them. Given the fact that the Tulloch mafia are about to stitch Rok up for a second time I trust they will cover this massive blooper from their own pockets.
  12. It's the latter of the two options if you ask me. Scotland ended up with two full backs playing as centre halfs. Sounds eerily familiar to me.......
  13. I'm maybe stating the obvious but the two Slovakians playing tonight are Jaroslav Machovec (22) who was previously with MKS Odra Wodzislaw in Poland's Ekstraklasa (Premier League) and Robert Ujcik (19) who appears to be a graduate of Derby County's academy and has latterly been with SV Mattersburg in Austria. Neither played regularly for their previous clubs.
  14. I was thinking about this just the other day and it would be great if we could set something up for those of us living outwith the sneck who can't make it to every game. I'm sure there's plenty of folk who'd be glad of the facility and would be willing to make a contribution towards the scheme. I've been a bit slack checking out the matchday chatroom since I moved back to Scotland but there used to be some good banter on there back in the day and a fair few far flung fans who would surely be glad of some division 1 radio coverage.
  15. Had a very interesting conversation this evening with some folk who move in similar circles to the latest Dens Park oligarch. The phrase, "same sh#t, different shovel" springs to mind........apologies if I'm being somewhat cryptic.
  16. As I said previously it's not really the Kerr situation that's the problem but it's certainly symptomatic of the general institutional malaise that got us into this situation in the first place. We embarked on last season with a squad that was considerably weaker than the season before and then we all throw our hands up in horror when we're relegated. It was nailed on from the opening day of the season and the powers that be stood idly by until it was too late to rectify the situation. I'm afraid I don't share the general enthusiasm that many on here seem to have for what is going to undoubtedly be a prolonged period in division one. We seem to have lost any direction and I see nothing to suggest that there is a real desire to get the club back on track. Sutherland is happy enough to make proclamations about an immediate bounce back but I feel that we need some new faces and new ideas behind the scenes to achieve this. Alas, while Sutherland pulls the strings there is very little likelihood of this ever happening.
  17. I'm pretty sure I heard that Brian Kerr has signed for Dundee on Radio Scotland sports round-up this evening. Can't see anything confirming this online yet but seems like a done deal. To be honest I'm not surprised in the slightest that he's gone but this surely confirms that we have neither the inclination nor the wherewithall to mount a serious challenge for promotion. Can't really be bothered commenting on the frankly embarassing honorary president/vice president farce, the pitiful lack of communication from the club, our joke of a Director of Football, Butcher swanning about Sweden, the Vigurs fiasco or the multitude of general cluelessness we have to endure. Suffice to say will the last man to leave please switch off the lights......
  18. Superb result. Sounded like a tremendous performance. Ya dancer. 1 Celtic 28 35 63 2 Rangers 28 37 60 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 Hearts 28 2 48 4 Dundee Utd 28 3 43 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5 Aberdeen 28 3 40 6 Hibernian 28 -3 36 7 Motherwell 28 -5 36 8 Hamilton 28 -15 32 9 Kilmarnock 28 -12 29 10 St Mirren 28 -16 29 11 Inverness CT 28 -17 25 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12 Falkirk 28 -12 24
  19. Spot on Mantis. Anti-Duncan halfwits GTF! If you don't appreciate the unglamorous job he does so well you simply expose yourself as a clueless beaut. We are very clearly a better side with him than without him. Watching BBC Alba and still can't believe Dougie's howler just before half-time. Too good to go down !
  20. Nothing more to report from my man on the Gatwick flight. Poor Butcher was slumming it on sleazyjet and our roving reporter was too polite to quiz him - polite chit-chat being order of the day. Bit strange him heading home tonight if they're planning an announcement tomorrow.
  21. Mate texted this afternoon to say Butcher was at Dalcross heading back down to London. Just got an update to say he ended up sitting next to him on the flight and the big fella was giving nothing away. More to follow when I get hold of him this evening.
  22. In the name of god will you Ardiles fans get a grip. Ossie seems a genuinely nice bloke and you obviously can't question the guy's track record as a player but his statistics as a manager speak for themselves. I don't want to point out the bleedin' obvious but we're staring relegation and potential oblivion in the face and now is not the time to entertain talk of an appointment which is never going to happen and turns the process into a circus sideshow. Grasser and co. need to issue a polite but firm, "thanks but no thanks", and get on with appointing someone capable of dealing with the blood and snotters of a relegation dogfight.
  23. File under Warnock in the pie in the sky stakes. These guys use these vacancies as opportunities to get their names in the press with a view to getting back on the managerial merry-go-round at somewhere more suitable. Not a snowballs chance in hell of him even making it as far as Dalcross.
