  1. Past hour
  2. Forget astro turfs. Forget attracting players. Forget commute times. What this move from the board says loud and clear is 'Inverness isn't a good place to live.' This message is damning to our supporters who put in more miles than any other in the championship last season. More financial commitment and more time commitment. We deserve to be treated as a COMMUNITY. More so than any other team. I'm aware of the troubles managers have had in the past, as we had around the turn of the century the last time.we were in this division, except with a lot more optimism for being in it. Success for a football team in scotland isn't judged on how many trophies you win. That is reserved for only two teams. Success for a football team in scotland looks like this; 1 - A strong, vibrant fan base who feel a part of the club, who ARE the club, involved in the care taking of that club. moving the club forward hand in hand with positive momentum. 2 - The potential for European football to get excited about, and boost the clubs coffers. This move signals a complete lack of care of what it means to be a community football club, for the basic reason is that it is no longer a community football club. There is no hand in hand positive momentum, I can't be the only one who feels so much bad towards the current regime that I'd like to see us, almost, on the brink of judgement Day. just so it would see Messrs Morrison, Ferguson and firstly Gardiner forcibly removed from this club and dropped off on the hard shoulder on the A9 down to Kelty. The ONLY way I can see through this, is if we stick together. BACK THE TRUST. And fight through this. Remembering that we were here before These clowns in charge, and we will be here long after, when they are a conversation piece about the darkest days of our proud clubs history, and how we overcame them as a united front.
  3. If the Club had asked us fans to vote I would have voted for Cammy Harper in both categories, player of year and young player of year. He's been outstanding, home and away. Well done young man
  4. Who knows what the next step in the master plan is....
  5. Might be wrong but there was not a comment from the club representative at a recent meeting that the club was investigating finding better training facilities?
  6. Today
  7. Agreed, and at the same time we need some sort of organised campaign along the lines of withdrawing ST renewals, to reverse the Kelty thing. I hope that anybody who was sceptical about the Supporters' Trust will swallow their pride and stump up their fiver. On P&B we have traditionally got stick from supporters of other clubs previously in trouble, for being too passive and letting it get to this stage. We were well warned about Gardiner as he has been a toxic presence at his other clubs. The concert fiasco, in any other employment situation, would be a sacking offence.
  8. Hope they don’t mind commuting to Kelty!
  9. Yesterday
  10. Went to a few matches towards the end of the season : No apparent urgency considering our increasingly perilous position. Clueless going forward : no idea what to do from 30 yards in. No fight. A glaring example was Hamilton's second goal in the first leg : there were four or 5 ICT defenders around the 6 yard box and none of them jumped or made any effort to attack the ball, watching the Hamilton player as he scored with no challenge. No shape / plan / leader. Team made up of individuals and it showed horribly. Truly truly awful : we need people in charge who have a passion for the club as we did in our first 20 years.
  11. Starting in May with a good home win against Morton. Into the playoffs away to Montrose for a 0 - 0 draw then home to Montrose getting a 1 - 0 win then getting beat 2 - 1 away to Hamilton and again 2 - 3 at home putting us down to League 1 The winner for April is Cameron Harper with Samson Lawel and Cameron Kerr close behind. Thank you for all your votes this season keeping going right to our final game even when things were not going well for our club
  12. Mastering the photos is easy, but I'd be embarrassed to show you my efforts at shooting movies... I was at my Shetland in-laws last summer and I flew it from Mainland to Mousa and back. Total of 7km. A big test, a bit nervous but it was fine. Apparently if you have line of sight it can go about 8km away. Here's the Hebridean Isles arriving at Port Askaig last month.
  13. It's not much of a defence if he looks at all fans as if they're dirt under his shoe! Not too strong on the "unity" there, either. Clearly there's a "them" and "us", where the fans are a subspecies, whose voices don't count - but they'll take our money and throw out a platitude here and there in the desperate hope of keeping that going.
  14. Lets remember this when we are looking for our next manager and inevitably someone suggests Robbo
  15. Last week
  16. You may well be right. But if you are, then they need to call a different tune.
  17. You are a professional at it though.
  18. Perhaps this is a cost we can cut and just elevate either Esson or Kellacher to #2.
  19. Maybe Dunc has arranged with Don Carlo we will become a feeder franchise for Los Blancos
  20. Well done again Old Gringers on another great Championship win and thank you for all your hard work on the spreadsheets throughout the season. Good shout from Joonya remembering the great days last time we were in the 3rd tier. We were on our great magical climb through the leagues back then. Somehow I don’t think it’ll be so much fun this time around, but the NPL will be - as good now as it’s ever been - cheers
  21. At least Dunc is putting his pay off money to a good cause.
  22. I see Jake Davidson won promotion with Hamilton Accies and was relegated with ICT.
  23. I was thinking the opposite. Caledonian Thistle for me.
  24. Well, we have some in common with Man City! I was looking into this question and found that they were relegated with positive goal difference in 1937/38, the season after they had won the league. In terms of the modern era, we might have a pretty unique claim. Found a Guardian article from a few years back that investigated if it had happened in the modern era and, apart from when there were points deductions, the only example they found was in the Greek 3rd division in the late 1990s, but it looks like there was some league restructuring happening because 5 teams in a 12 team league got relegated. ICT - still making history.
  25. originally they were called "Stogg" but then reverted to "Satisfaction" in about 1973/4. They played mostly Free / Rolling Stones material (I don't recall Hawkwind or Argent covers but I could be wrong!). George Junor is still in Inverness but I don't think he's gigging currently.
  26. What happened yesterday was the result of a lethal concoction we've been taking all season. A combination of multiple factors. The board. Not just Gardiner who seemed to be the focal point for the anger. As if he was responsible for it all. He obviously bears responsibility. As does the rest of the board. Up to and including the chairman. The buck stops with him. The fans. We've always been under supported despite punching above our weight. The day trippers that only turn up for the big games. Where would we be if they all turned up every week I wonder? The "City". I don't class this place as a city. It's a town. For multiple reasons. This town doesn't deserve a Scottish cup winning, European side such as ours that brought prestige by carrying the name of this town and many thousands of travelling fans up here spending their money every weekend. The people. It's quite clear to me now that Inverness is the 3rd most supported team in Inverness which is a depressing statement to have to say. Not only do the people that live here stay away from our club. Many actively detest it. Old firm glory hunters born and raised in this town who would like nothing more than to see us fold and Highland football die off. Leaving everyone having to drive 3 hours down the A9 to watch any kind of football. That's if they survive the journey because of the central belt masters they worship refusing to dual the road. The council. What can you do? a 2% loss of green space on an unused golf course that would have netted us £3.5M. Approved. But the two councillors didn't like the way the vote went so did their best to make sure it didn't go through. Very few of them there actually care about the club obviously. But if your own council doesn't give a toss about you. What hope do we have. But we get what we deserve. This same council is the one that turns academy street into a karting track. Turns the ironworks into an empty lot. Builds a bridge to nowhere. And people still vote them in. It's a vicious circle. But we get the politicians we deserve. Luck. I'll end it with this. I've felt the writing was on the wall for a while now. Maybe we just spilt too many salt shakers. Broke too many mirrors. But you see this happen to many other "big clubs" in the championship. Dunfermline, St Mirren, Falkirk and Hamilton to name a few. If you stagnate for too long in the championship. You will face the drop. Yet again we've had a record breaking points total for being relegated. It doesn't feel like we could have done anything to avoid it. It genuinely felt like this was written for us. I've not really talked about the on field matters much. A lot has been said already which I agree with. To be honest I don't know if any manager would have saved us. We were 3 points off 5th. 1 point of safety, If Billy Mckay's penalty went in against Dunfermline? But it didn't. If luck was on our side maybe it would have.
