Malky Thomson

Incase anybody is interested............... is Birmingham's new chief scout.

Featured Replies

Fairly making his way up in the world and will have a lot of good players to scout given the budget Birmingham now have. He will probably be earning 10x what he was at us.

I think Bear Grylls might have something to say about that!!!

Is it not reserve team coach job that he got.

I hope Birmingham have a big enough budget to buy him a watch , Caley D will get it :P

You may be right Stevie, all I know is he was at the Old Firm game last week..

Yes think it is reserve coach, as you were saying he was up at Old Firm game, he was with Birmingham assistant manager, cracking job for him though. As they say its not what you know but who you know.

Malky is the reserve coach at Birmingham. He is also a close friend of McLiesh. I'm sure he will be a very good coach with the right people around him so I think its a bit unfair to slag him off.

Besides he kindly gave all the ICT fans who made the long journey to Copenhagen to support thier team a couple of mementos of the club.

Kris Boyd to St Andrews then?

I don't see where anyone slagged him off, I just alluded to the fact that he probably got the job due to his contacts (McLeish) rather than him being a hugely successful coach thus far in his career. As it happens I hope Malky does well in his new role.

Madjid Bougherra or Pedro Mendes to St Andrews?

He is married to McLeish's sister. That's how he got the job!

"Any chance your brother has a job going? Brewster cannae get nowt and nobody else likes me"

Good luck to the guy, whatever reason he got the job for, whether it be connections or merits or both.

Is a top bloke, who has been at Birmingham for over two months now. Worked with McLeish at Hibs and he also took him to Rangers before he joined us. Was also with McLeish as a youngter at Pittodrie before being forced to retire.

Rated very highly by McLeish and by SAF who has had him down at OT several times. Still, what do they know :P ?

A pity he was no use with us then!

Well there is only so much you can do with Brewster calling the shots.

Some might say he worked miracles in that case.
