Trialist game - Friday

Just heard there are going to be 2 teams of trialists playing on the pitch on Friday. Let's hope that butcher has better players playing in that than the ones we are letting go!

anyone know if we won ? :tongueincheek:

seriously though did anyone get to go / hear anything report wise??

I'm just speculating but I'd imagine the coaching staff are going through each others notes by now and whittling them down a bit for further trials in preparation for the pre-season.

Was very much a closed doors event...they even had security there to enforce it. Their was some suggestion that this was (in part) a regulatory thing...something to do with the fact that as soon as you have one spectator it then needs to be registered/sanctioned as a match  Sure it was probably more to do with stopping other agents getting in on the clubs initiative.

I'm sure anyone who was that interested would have found their way round to the layby on the A9

A radical way of finding players. They'll all be doing it next year

Is Butcher trying to do a Souness perhaps? An English invasion of the Tulloch Stadium?

if it wins us games, gets points on the board and gets us that elusive top 6 place then fine by me

Terry has said that although they are all coming up from english clubs, they are not all Englishmen. Daniel Stratford wont be amongst them as he has just been released by Hereford. Players from all 4 leagues, so I presume the premiership players will be very young, and the others to be journeymen

Tade and Shinnie, to name but 2, both at trials

Andrew shinnie I presume Graemes bro. Put this in rumour mill earlier!

Anyone know what the score was?

and lost

It was 2-1 each at half time....not sure how it finished.
