Lomas to Millwall

Steve Lomas has left St Johnstone to become manager of Millwall. Is this a bad thing fir St J and possibly a good thing for ICT?

Im devastated, Lomas hated Adams as much as we did.

No and no.

What a great answer with absolutely no argument to back up your answer.

Wont be a good thing for St J, his record the last two seasons speaks for itself so imo can only be a good thing for us as they can potentially get someone in that isnt up to scratch.

Did you see the warm welcome he's getting? "F*ck off Lomas" banner hanging on the fence around Millwall's stadium yesterday, presumably because of his West Ham affiliations.

Ah, Milwall fans - no wonder they have a reputation for being so friendly. I'm sure there was an article somewhere recently and it basically summed up that no matter how good the players are or who is in charge they always get abuse from the fans, whether winning or loosing. Truely a horrid club.

Normally I'm of the belief that "the table doesn't lie" and the best team finishes top, the second best team finishes second, etc...

But I just don't think St.J were the third best team in the league last season at all.  In fact I think they were pretty poor, so I'll be interested to see what happens to them.

Yeah, they had a good run towards the end of the season, elevating them into 3rd place (and Europe) despite not having been there all season. We were 2nd or 3rd since November only to be pipped on the last day. However, we only gained 3 points after the split whereas they picked up 10. I suppose, grudgingly, they deserve it. It won't stop me from masochistically looking on with interest at who they're paired with in Europe!

100% correct

Tommy Wright given the new managers job, with Calum Davidson assisting

Agreed too, they definatly didn't deserve it but at the end of the day they had more points than us and we had two chances to secure it and we didn't so part of it is our fault. But I totally agree that it SHOULD have been us in 2nd or 3rd. And yes Tommy Wright is new manager

I'm not saying that it should have been us and not them in 3rd place, I'm just saying that I think in this instance the league table lies a little, I don't feel they were the 3rd best team in the country at all.

I've nothing personal against St.J at all, I just watched them play a few times last season and didn't think much of them.

Ah well - onwards and upwards eh!
