This time last season...

We had the same amount of points as we do at the same point this season and had a slightly better goal difference (this season on top and last below):

We then took just two points from the next 5 games over the festive period and had dropped to 5th position by the 12th of January.

Our next fixtures are:

Partick (H)

St. Johnstone (A)

Aberdeen (H)

Ross County (A)

St. Mirren (H)

How many points will we take from these games? More than two I hope.

I would be expecting 10+ points, there's no reason why we can't win them all and get 15 points

Biggest difference this year to last is we are going to have stability and not be going through a transition. Other than St J away where we sometimes struggle all the above are winnable games. Given our small squad if we stay clear of suspensions, injuries and Yogi rotates to prevent tiredness and burn out there is no reason we shuldnt be looking to win them all.

There are no easy games in this league. We could play well in all these matches and lose narrowly. I hope we don't and I don't think we will but let's not get carried away! One game at a time. Leave the arrogance to the remaining ugly sister and its ugly fans.

The problem each year is the Christmas Party. Newcastle, Dublin, have lead to months of despair. We can but hope that Yogi is aware of this form dip cause and puts the team up in Dingwall for the Xmas 2014 party. Entertainment will be provided buy Derek Adams the magician.

That's good only 2 points over the next 5 to match last year,no pressure then, they can beat that on Saturday in just one game.

I'm very much in the one-game-at-a-time camp! Having a platform of 32 points at this stage is just brilliant.

To totally contradict my first line - and daring to look ahead(!), we genuinely are on track to accumulate a record points haul, come the end of season. 58 is the target and we're on 32 after only 15 games!

Partick (H)                - Loss

St. Johnstone (A)     - Loss

Aberdeen (H)           - ?

Ross County (A)       - ?

St. Mirren (H)           - ?

Lose to Aberdeen and it would seem that the December curse has struck again...

It is the time of diving and good will to all men especially saints.
