DONT PANIC! - Site Upgrade in progress. Apologies for any downtime, broken stuff, or weird looks !

This resumes on 4th August. The same 17 clubs are competing. We endured a dreadful campaign last season, finishing last! Hopefully, a year on, our youths can perform better, as I understand last season much of our team were boys who'd just come 'up' from the U17s.

A couple of pre-season games soon - the first-team have St Mirren on Saturday while the 'U20s' head to Lossiemouth the same afternoon.
Similarly, the following Saturday Inverness CT have a 'double header' with games at Nairn and Wick, with presumably the youths heading to Caithness.

Away to Hibs tomorrow (tues) 2pm at Ainslie Park.

Result:
Hibs 1-0 Inverness CT

What a dire game. The Hibs boys looked bigger and stronger than ours but neither side created much at all. The only goal was a glancing header, totally unmarked, from a disputed corner in 5 minutes. It hit the far post and trickled over the line.

The big no 4 who was marking our wee no 9 must have been a foot taller than him. No 10 looks useful but again very wee. Quite impressed by no 8.

No teamsheets. The Spartans guys are usually very good but said it was up to Hibs to produce them this time so they never bothered.

Well done Mantis that is just like a BBC Open All Mic's  report on a Saturday afternoon and they have a teamsheet!

The Youth Cup game at Hearts has been rearranged for this Sunday (13th) at 1pm. The venue's not specified on the SFA website, but it does seem that the games in this competition are played at the actual home ground, where possible. So, will probably be at Tynecastle.

Sounds like a good game! Hard luck ICT losing 4-2.
Certainly doing a lot better this year. Last season when we finished 17th and last, many of the boys were coming in from the U17s. A year on, and we're much more competitive.
The penalty which ultimately won it for Hearts was apparently controversial, with our U20s boss sent to the stand for 'complaining'! That would be Shearer?

Bizarre language.  How could anyone with any interest in Scottish football over the last couple of decades not recognise Duncan Shearer?

Played today against Partick at HFA. Team Mackay, C. Brown, Howarth, J. Brown, Omerovic, MacArthur, Roberts, Foran, Sho-Silva, Lopez, Sutherland. Subs Hoban, Gilchrist, MacRea, Wilson

Good to note Foran back in action even though he was subbed at half time

McRae and Lopez scorers for ICT in 2-2 draw. PT scored first and Lopez equalised. McRae put us 2-1 ahead but as with the first team we conceded in the dying seconds.

Info from PTFC Twitter feed

Richie took a smack in the face and needed a stitch or two in his lip.....aside from being a little uglier, there's no issue.

That's a relief as long as it doesn't affect Richie's scoring abilities with his face the that's good news.
