August 29, 200718 yr Darren Kelly the central defender who was an ICT signing target to try and shore up our leaky defence has moved to English Conference side York City FC. Looks like he has deserted the sinking ship before even setting foot on deck. BBC Link here: BBC
August 29, 200718 yr I was expecting Kellys arrival this week, which i thought would leave us requiring one more face, preferably a defender to come in before Saturday. So we need to find at least 2 now. I dont much fancy Brews chances of success on that front :009:
August 29, 200718 yr It has crossed my mind that our freeze in transfer activity while the manager vacancy was filled could be a factor in our missing out on him, but I suspect not. The indications were that he was never keen to move to the Highlands. No reason to panic. Rabbits, hats.
August 29, 200718 yr Only 2 days tho to sort things out....unless there are some clubless gems out there. Would still like us to explore the loans avenue. There must be some usefull players at big clubs needing a regular game somewhere for next 8 months
August 29, 200718 yr funnily enough, as critical as I have been about Brewster's appointment, I have a feeling he may pull something out of the bag before the TW closes.
August 29, 200718 yr i heard its kerry out for the season as he's stuck on the crapper following a particularly strong vindaloo :toilet01: :rolleyes02:
August 29, 200718 yr There are two defenders lined up, but the deals will only take place if two ICT players are moved on.
August 30, 200718 yr I thought that Alan Savage told the media that there was money in the kitty for Brewster to bring in new faces if he desired.
August 30, 200718 yr No secret to the fact that we would be looking to shift midfield player/s in order to bring in someone else at the back. This is at least the third quote from the club since the summer saying that was the case. Regardless of what's in the kitty it makes sense to lighten the squad in that area of the park - no point paying players who are never going to get a game or aren't seen as future prospects. That would only serve to drain the bank and mean we have less cash available come the January (and future) transfer windows.
August 30, 200718 yr So who would you like to see move on? Already covered in This Thread although I don't see it so much as who would I like to see move on as opposed to it being inevitable and necessary.
August 31, 200718 yr Our Directors' take on Kelly: v unlikely to be Kelly. His fiancee wants the move to be the central belt. Pity
August 31, 200718 yr v unlikely to be Kelly. His fiancee wants the move to be the central belt. Pity Fekin fiancees eh....................they got a lot to answer for
August 31, 200718 yr lucky escape - assuming this is an 'Ian Rankin' type BBC misstype he's made a spectacular start oops
