The Ian Black Appreciation Thread

Approaching game numero 100 for Jags.

Considering his age, this is a terrific feat(Sp?)

An excellent servant to the club, if he's goes, it was good while it lasted.

If he stays, I don't think I've ever seen someone so perfect for the captains armband.

Yeah... He's a moaning little git who always gives it everything he's got.... :rolleyes02:

I love him....  :022:

An ambitious wee chap ...... but let's hope he sticks around for a few more seasons.

He certainly adds a lot of determination and not a little skill to the team.

Chris,

If he goes where do you think he may head to?

Do you think he?ll head to the east ? Livingston, Falkirk or perhaps over to the west ? St Mirren, Morton maybe?

Perhaps even down to League One in England if he wants to chase the money.

Although if he does improve as he can, and there are areas, maybe he could even set his sights a little higher.

I like Black too.

Hard working wee guy who gives Caley Thistle 100%. Put in a good shift yesterday. Hope he stays with us for a long time to come.

Hibs or Aberdeen.

Black's a cracking wee player, would be really sorry to see him go.

My other half's a hibs man, and he's been saying there's talk of Hibs wanting him on the hibs forums.  The Hibees supporters are certainly keen to get hold of him...

As an Edinburgh boy he would no doubt see a move to Hibs as a step in the right direction.

As we all know his attitude has often let him down in the past. That seems to be much better this season.

Aberdeen if they punt the under performing Severin?

The general consensous among Aberdeen fans when it looked like Nicholson would be leaving (mind the contract rebels) that Blackie would be the man to replace.

i see sophia is at it again

As has been requested of sophia, Gillian, could we please keep the thread on the intended topic and refrain from discussing other posters.

Yup. But Severin has apparently been under performing for some time and JC might look to free up some space on the old wage budget. Black would command less than Seve,

One of the most talented players to have played at ICT and if he put some of the other parts of his game/personality into his game he could go a long way.  Would love to still have him next season but I feel he will be elsewhere with Hibs most likely.

Ian's a cracking player I hope he stays around. My 10 year old son and 8 year old daughters favorite player. And you and he would be amazed to know that around Filton Hill School Bristol, his name is well known.

he has said he doesn't want to leave, really settled, daughter registered at school for next year or rather term, but i imagine salaries will come into it, he could sign pre contract at Xmas, we need him in the team, lets hope CB feels the same.

I'm a bit woried obout Ian Black the dons fans are wanting to sign him in the summer and the way he is playing at the moment I think Aberdeen might just go for him as Jimmy Calderwood has been quoted as having a clearout in the summer.

They made enquiries last season only to be told he was NOT for sale but yes it is worrying and if you look at their fans web site they are keen to get him and as i said previously he can sign pre contract this Xmas and if you look at his date of birth he goes for nothing, yes i would agree, it is worrying.

Stormed up the tunnel today after being subbed. Not sure if it was petulance or frustration after such a poor performance  :024:

Not the first bad game he's had recently either. Shame almost everyone else was equally dire today.

I felt sorry for Blackie.... Up until his one mistake with the pass-back he was just about our best player today. This was just one of these feckin awful days you get when more than half the team have an off day.

Were we at the same game? Cowie, for one, knocked Black into a cocked hat, as he has done for the last few matches I've watched. Ian wasn't at the races today - along with most of the team  :rolleyes02:
