Summer transfer targets

With players like bayne and wyness likely to leave this summer and marius also, the club needs to invest in some decent proven topflight players.  The midfield is the strongest part of the team and i think that every other area could do with some additions. Who should the club REALISTICALY be trying to sign?

Parker would be a great signing but may well be beyond our budget.

yup agree with that

Archie Thompson -  :rotflmao:

Queensland Roar fan are you?  :004:

That and hes the kind of character we could do without in the dressing room at the moment.

Terrifically talented player though.

Killie are acting quickly to make their squad stronger.

Already signed; Allan Russell - Airdrie, Abdul Osman - Gretna and Gavin Skelton and Greg Fleming look to be on their way there aswell.

Fair play to them and I think that this is a sign of their intend, they know there squad is poor and are making good signings quickly.

But we aren't and we have a worse squad than them.  Also no doubt St Mirren will make a few signings in the next few weeks.

Hurry up Brewster!!

well there is no doubt that we need t strengthen the squad with others around us doing the same. Hopefully brewster with get on with it soon

Brewster aint the fastest man ever!!

are we still looking at Andy Barrowman??

Barrowman should have been signed up weeks ago!

He couldn't be signed up weeks ago. He's still under contract at County. The transfer window is not open yet. And, Barrowman said himself, he is in no hurry to sign for anyone till after he's had a good holiday and has plenty of time to think about where he wants to go.

My heart bleeds for him  :violin: he sounds so bothered and desperate to come to us  :014: at least guys like Denzil and Patters are dedicated and want to be here :003:

I think his agent wants him to come to caley!!

I think his agent wants him to come to caley!!

His agent will want him where he's going to earn the biggest cut from his (signing on fee?)

wasn't Aberdeen looking at him??

Weren't there rumours that Barrowman had been closely looked at by the Hibees ?  Barrowman and Marius (if he stays) up front could be a useful pairing.  :024:

That Gary Glen might be good signing.

I would try a cheeky bid for daryll duffy, don't think he's getting a game at the minute wherever he is.

Either that or definitly get Juanjo back. :021:

I heard Falkirk want him back, think he's still at Hull?? Gary Glen..... you just pick names out of a hat don't you TinCanFan?

This guy was the best player on the pitch in the game at Tynecastle.  Worth a look I reckon.

You really think we can attract a bright new talent to us?!  You have to be joking!

He plays well in one game and that's enough do you think? He is highly rated by Frail, but then again so is Elliott :023:

Could try loaning him in if he aint getting a regular game next season.

In defence, there is a guy at Livingston called McPabe or something like that who can also play up front.  Mentioned on here before as someone possibly having a look at as a real replacement for Dods.

Heard one story about us attempting to sign Richie Byrne after his impending release from aberdeen.

Would be useful back-up.  Another type of player i'd like us to look at is Canning of queens park.  He may be playing in a basically amateur team, but he has been impressive every time i've seen him and might be able to cut it at a higher level.

Glen just signed a multi-season contract with Hearts.  No chance I'm afraid.

Do you just pick out any old name from thin air? There is no chance of us getting Glenn. If he were to leave Hearts (on loan) it would be to an SFL1 team.

Richie Byrne is atrocious.

Swansea  :004:

I would try a cheeky bid for daryll duffy,

I agree he would be a great signing, but Swansea paid Hull ?200k for him in January, and I seriously doubt they'd let him go for any amount within Brew's budget. A loan is a possibility I suppose.
