Ivy, interesting move in what capacity?  Manager, Player or Both?

Apparently Steve Clarke will be leaving Chesea to be a manger in his own write too.

Hearts job perhaps?

I think SP would be a great signing for us in a player/coach capacity. It will fill more seats and give CB more experience in his coaching staff, even if for a season until he retires from playing

Hope the ICT board have the vision

His legs have gone, no strength or power anymore, would be a total liability against a forward of even Wyness proportions, nevermind Nicolae or Hesselink

He will make a better actor than football manager. In fact he could be Victor Meldrew's stuntman given the whinging nature he developed with Hearts and ability to fall over with little contact. Failing that he could train as a diving coach - Hearts became quite adept under his leadership.

i dont think he would do for us.......... :018:

he's too slow and he's got no skill what so ever.

Completely disagree with these views.  Think his leadership is just what we need.  A good pre-season free of injury (and I suspect he'll be strong enough for a while as he's not had too many injuries) and I think he'll easily be our level.  Don't remember him (or Dods, Mann, McManus, Hendry etc etc) ever having much skill or speed.  Experience, though, got that in spades.  His leadership through the chaos of Hearts was inspirational, speaking out when it was against his career interests.  I'd have him in a shot.

totally agree (i mentioned his leadership in another thread) ... just dont think its gonna happen

Assistant coach to Brew--standing ready to move in to the main role if Brew does not deliver?

Thank you.  You saved me writting it.
