Team for Celtic

---------------------------------Fraser---------------------------------

--------Proctor*---------------Munro--------------Hastings----------

--------Tokely-----------------Black--------------Djebi-Zadi---------

--------Wilson-----------------Cowie----------------Imrie------------

-----------------------------Barrowman-------------------------------

Subs - Esson, Duff*, Vigurs, Rooney, Duncan, McBain, Brewster

* - Duff is put in at right centre back if Proctor is still injured. If he still is Zander Sutherland or Phil McGuire is placed on the bench.

Fraser in goal, for now. Last season in the 3-2 win, Proctor did a great job in keeping up with McGeady and at the Rangers game in January, Burke was having a tough time with crosses in the first half and wasn't able to start until he came up against Hastings in the second half. By put both Proctor an Tokely in these positions, the would-be Celtic crosser would have a hard time. This is the same on the left where possibly McGeady or Robson would have a hard time getting crosses into the box when coming up against Hastings and Djebi-Zadi. Munro would be place at centre back.

The midfield, Tokely played very well against Aberdeen last season when in this position and by putting him here he can also make runs forward and can come back and defend. Black in the centre of the midfield and Djebi-Zadi at the left wing. He, like Tokely can be used to go forward and come back and defend if necessary.

Tokely seems to play better with Wilson infront of him so he is placed at right attacking wing. Cowie is placed just behind the striker and Imrie is at left attacking wing. Barrowman is placed up-front. I know, Brewster won't put himself on the bench but he'd be perfect in the game to go into attack mode at towards the end of the game.

With the 3-3-3-1, it can interchanged to 5-4-1 when defending with Tokely and Djebi-Zadi going as left and right backs. It can also be used to crowd the midfield in a 3-6-1 style and it can also be used as a 3-3-4 when attacking with Cowie, Wilson and Imrie peeling off to join Barrowman up-front. This would be the best way to get in about Celtic.

Dear oh dear the referee tomorrow is going to be Iain Brines...

Remind me of his past horrors against ICT...

Was he the one who sent off Juanjo for Neil Lennon being blown over by a gust of wind?

Who was the ref in our 3-2 win last season?

Nooooooooo... he reffed the Dee utd game two weeks ago!!!!!! guy is a complete divot.

Mind you he can redeem himself by giving us a dodgy goal ans sending off Brown...ha ha

got to be good news that van bighoor of rinkiedink is out injured

I dont think Brewster will have the bottle to play two up front and go try and attack - i reckon he will play 1 up front

and hope he can stop Celtic scoring - if they score I hope he dooe'nt leave it to long to change things

Anyway best of luck to the boys tomorrow - up Caley

Fraser

Tokely McGuire Munro Hastings

Cowie Black Duncan Vigurs Imrie

Rooney

Cowie and Imrie have been inconsistent, but I get the feeling both will be right up for this one (Cowie hopefully remembering his MOTM display in the 3-2 last season), and they are the two players best equipped to come up and play off Rooney if Barrowman is out. We need Duncan in the holding role against Celtic - he's often excellent in these games, where his concentration is at its sharpest. Vigurs just shades it over McBain for me - more creative with the ball at his feet and hopefully he won't be overawed. It's a great stage for him - don't think he's started a live TV game yet, has he? Most experienced defence needed for this one, I think - Roscoe is usually up for these games and I think McGuire was good enough during Granty's absence to regain his place from Duff.

I agree with this team and this post.

So do I. But feel that McBain will start over Vigurs. mainly due to his experience. Vigurs hasn't started against the Old Firm yet... as far as i'm aware.

Brewster the Shamen will put all his little bones with players names on in a cup, shake them around then throw them up in the air and see how they land. The 11 names closest to the middle of the table will play, and they will play in the formation in which they land....no arguments....the spirits have spoken.

Rory for a starring role similar to his previous superstar 88 min cameo against Celtic then?

I just hope he doesn't play Proctor as a right midfielder similar to the Ibrox 2-0 loss last season. That game dampened my post match family wedding celebrations a bit...
