That was a few years ago. It would leave us in the Championship next season so no real benefit to us.

2012, it would leave us in the championship but after 22 games the top 4 then joins with the bottom 4 for another 14 games, top 4 promoted bottom 4 relegated. I quite liked the idea.

It makes for much greater opportunity for moving through the divisions.  For instance, the top four in the Championship could also be the top four in the league of 8 and therefore all get promoted to the Premier Division.  That makes it quite appealing and is also why there is absolutely zero chance of 11 of the current Premiership sides voting for it.

There will be no reconstruction, the ship has sailed and any bargaining position of club lost through the vote results. Fear and financial desperation has forced clubs into making a short term decision for immediate funds over forcing issues for a long term redevelopment of Scottish football. Unfortunately while fans may complain about the structures, TV deals etc its the clubs we all support and finance that have sold us all out IMO.

There can be investigations, recriminations and even legal challenges but if the SPFL board had any capability they would have made sure that there were caveats in the voting criteria that prevented this and that the final result was binding based on the previously agreed majority acceptance criteria.

The indications from the UK and Scottish governments since yesterday are pretty bleak in terms of long term social distancing measures making it unlikely that we’ll be seeing football for a long time, or that clubs will be getting the income that they need to survive this.

I wonder what happens. Will the government continue to furlough until the end of 2020? Will football clubs extend out of contract players or leave them until football restarts? Interesting and scary time ahead

Can't see many clubs able to extend player contracts without the income to pay the wages - frightening unchartered territory ahead for many clubs, players and staff. For most of us it is just a loss of our favourite hobby and pastime for a while but for others it's their livelihood and I feel for them.

Indeed. We have furloughed our players but does that only give them an income until their contract expires? Worrying times for those about to be out of contract.

Tough times on the players eh furlough didn't work for me either with jumping between jobs ended up with fcuk all dollars! Players need to dig in to there ISA accounts

It looks like someone on a fixed term contract who is currently  furloughed can have it extended, by the employer. Interesting if players previously did not commit to signing for next season. .

Looks like the Rangers are going to be granted the further EGM they desire.

No surprise that this club, much younger than hours, who were fortunate indeed to be permitted into the league system in the first place are now attempting to disrupt things in their own self interest.

Off topic but, in view of the most recent advice from the FM, assuming our online shop is still trading, an ICT 25th anniversary scarf would make an excellent face covering and would generate at least a wee bit of income for the club.
