  1. Move the family section into the main stand. Set up the north stand as sit anywhere for both season and non season ticket holders. Instruct the stewards to allow a bit of latitude, only using experienced and sensible stewards in this area. The rest would follow.

  2. what i would like to see is that if the boys in section G get told to sit down the hole of the north stand should stand up :D

  3. What do the rules say about season ticket seats?? do you have to give people a name on their seat? instead of being to an allocated a seat, could it not be a season ticket to the North Stand. Then those who want to sing/stand/conga will all begin to congregate in the same area weekly, allowing others to make a choice about where they sit. Thus if they don't like people standing or jumping up they can move along or go to the main stand where we could keep allocated seating? I understand that there is also the issue of the family section but surely thats not insurmountable given our average home gate. It will be hard for some people who have had 'their' seat for a number of years but surely they'd accept it for a better atmosphere. I don't get to many home games (being Glasgow/Edinburgh student based) but when I do, my excitement at getting to walk out to the stadium is always slightly dampened by the atmosphere when i get there, it'll never stop me going but i'd still like more banter. Away days in the SPL and particularly last year were brilliant we have to be able to recreate it. TB demands it, i want to see him and the players coming to the fans (ala the Queen of the South game) more.

  7. I'm well up for this one; I ain't been anticipating anything like this for ages. I don't share peoples stated dreariness about the SPL. It's where we need to be. Not perfect, but its our top table, cats pyjamas, dogs nads. Give me one of these days as recompense for slogging yer way to Dumfries or Dumfermline or Airdrie and I'll be happy. Give me these henry's from Glesgae to shout at, they deserve it. Give me Lennon's gob to shut at 4.45pm. It's bigger than anything you'll find in Div. 1. And I won't miss C*unty. I'll be too busy enjoying the fact that they didn't get here. Four more sleeps.

  9. When you consider how much money he spent the fact that Villa haven't got into the Champions League is a big disappointment. Only Manchester City have spent more money in the last few seasons than Villa. Here is an interesting link on net spend and position for Premiership clubs. Celtic also spent heavily when he was there - Strachan won as many titles in less time with fewer resources. Gabriel Marcotti has a good article on MON here.

  10. I have to say that's exactly what the Antwerp players did to a man at the end of the game. They all walked over behind the goals in front of the away stand and applauded and high fived as many fans as they could get their hands on. Maybe that is the answer to drum up an interactive following, seemed to work for them.

  11. Copy of E-Mail sent to ICT Commercial Department today...................discuss!!! Hi Darren/Tabitha As a Kingsmills Club Member last season I am disappointed that you have not been in touch regarding your plans for a Sports Bar next season, with less than a week to the SPL kickoff. Hope to hear news this week and would like to think that we can get a pint pre/post match with light refreshments pre match whilst also being able to watch a live game on tv? Kingsmills Club members provided useful revenue for the club last season and I feel we have been treated shabbily on our return to the SPL. I appreciate that the demands for hospitality mean that space is at a premium this season but surely arrangements can be put in place for your loyal ICT supporters? I am aware that Season Ticket holders can get a discount on matchday hospitality but at ?35 a time it is still quite expensive and this is only available for 4 matches? After forking out ?350 for a main stand season ticket it is a bit steep to ask for a further ?35 + vat for lunch, tea and a pie at half time plus a free matchday programme! I look forward to hearing your plans to accomodate the ordinary punters this season as well as the Prawn Sandwich Brigade! Yours in football o2bajaggie

  12. So why don't you "away" guys make an effort and come to a home game? Largely for the same reasons that we don't see any more than about 5% the 3,000 regular home supporters at most away games - financial cost, work commitments, family commitments, the sheer amount of time that has to be expended on travel. Very few people can give up every weekend to football. You must realise that the main reason there are 'away' supporters who don't attend many home games is that the away matches are much more accessible for most of these supporters, who tend to live in the central belt or (in IHE's case) in England. The sneering tone of your comment 'make an effort' is not justified.

If this was a slip of the finger on the keyboard then I will apologise for calling you an idiot - but I suspect that it was just another mindless comment of the type that turns people away from posting on this forum. dry your eyes mun Confirmation.

  17. Come on - lets face it - they have more of a support than us in numbers and more "lads" and less sweetie rustlers - but if that had been an ordinary match day there would have been feck all of them left standing cos the stewards would have chucked them. Our home support has been lamented from day one but 150-200 of us, given leash would have least have equalled that - away from home last season the majority of places that we went commented that we were the best away support of the season - at least. LETS FECKIN ENJOY OUR AWAY DAYS THIS YEAR AND THE MORE OF US THAT GO IN TO SING SING MODE THE BETTER - That will never happen in TCS or the North Stand unfortunately.

  18. Fer fecks sake - if George Fraser had taken up TB's offer he would have been a feckin prize muppet. They would have been blown apart by the fan reaction. George and the Muppets are good employers cos TB is firmly in control - and i suspect that the gentleman knows he is, which side is bread is buttered on and is palying the thankful employee game. At least we have the muppets exactly where we want them.

  19. I like the idea of the Players after their warm up running around the inside and interacting with fans. That creates a better bond and may be useful against Celtic at least as a start.

  21. Having tried to find my one national football website for ICT during the upcoming season, i've been going on to a few. Some of the journalism is excellent, i won't mention any names, but it's staggeringly good. Some on the other hand, appear to be biased, and shockingly, infuriatingly lazy. So, which big third-party football website have you come across that is lacking in the ICT department? And we, or I, can send an e-mail to remind them of their duties... (Caleythistleonline.com/ICTFC/P&J/Inverness Courier/PieandBovril/etc are regarded as different as they have a specific regional tie-in)

  22. How do you put a score on to another poster ? - I have a feeling that there may be a gremlin in the system and all the scores are been accrued by IHE - Is there any way that I can ban anyone from scoring me any positives please.
