  1. Just heard that Nick, in common with the rest of the U21 side, doesn't get to keep the shirt he wore last night on winning his first Scottish cap. That was always an established tradition, and it goes back more years than I can recall. How pathetic is it of the SFA to insist that - even if it's your first cap for Scotland, you don't get to keep the shirt you proudly wore when called up to represent your country. Penny pinching taken to extremes.

  3. Why do certain moderators waste their time using virtual bullying tactics on Dougal. If you don't want to answer his questions or think he is taking the mickey just ignore him! Every thread that he has posted on pretty much has certain moderators trying to stir things up and this encourages others to have a go at him. It's this kind of mob mentality that makes me not want to post on here most of the time. If he is genuine he doesnt need some halfwits with thousands of posts under their name and who also hold moderator status belittling him for coming onto a forum where discussion is meant to be encouraged. Just because you have heard it all before and you have time to go rummaging through archive folders that you probably helped create doesnt mean the rest of us do!

  7. i'm fairly new to this forum, so a lot of subjects that have been "done to death" are new to me. if the subject really is so tiresome to you, don't feel that you have to contribute. it's not like you're adding anything interesting to the thread. i thought as a long standing member you'd be delighted that more and more supporters are being converted to the cause. no offence

  9. I wanted GMS at the start of the season with Hayes and Foran both out and Ross unproven (can't remember if Gill was out too). No desperate need now. If he's cheap (and it would seem, he isn't), take a chance and let him prove himself. No need if he's expecting to come in and command an important position (and salary) when there's still so much to prove.

  10. Good post Wyness hopefully he'll get a good turn out and sell a fair number of copies I certainly will be popping along to purchase my copy Book looks like a hard back and off good quality which is always a bonus. I was in said waterstones last Friday and stumbled upon " Up stephen's Brae" I kid you not it looked like it had been literally typed up on a pre war type writer and stapled together by primary kids All the best big Dunc with the sales

  11. Good post I agree, take last night for instance a mod basically posted on every thread i started at the same time in a failed attempt to get me to bite but also to stir things up :annoyed: I would also like to know which mod (extra space here) damaged my reputation by -20 in one swoop?? As far as i know i have broken NO rules and i most certainly have had no warnings or tickings off. Anyway back on topic; I actually fully agree on-line shopping is the way forward so i applaud the club for getting this operation up and going. It will be important however that the merchandise must be off good quality with a good selection of items. dougal Have a Red Dot for bad spelling & punctuation! Also, you dont have to type your name at the bottom of every post - It says at the side who posted......

  12. If thats the case Yngwie why has said person not been privately mailed and banned if he doesnt listen? I find it unacceptable in any form for somebody to be ridiculed for asking what seems a sensible question and mod status doesnt exempt you from that whether you are experienced or not. Remember using a computer is different from meeting in person. Behind a keyboard you can be anybody. There could be a number of sensitive issues like mental illness that prevent the op from traversing the archives etc. Maybe they are a pensioner with very little knowledge of the internet. Who knows and quite frankly it's none of our business. I just feel this does little to encourage new and some current users to participate in any discussion.

  13. Before attacking the mods consider why they are taking that stance. You yourself have used insulting language towards the mods which they have not resorted to towards the OP. Wind your neck in.

  14. OK Dougal... your campaign to change the name hasn't been too successful with over 90% voting for the status quo, so it now seems that you now want to relocate instead. So, given that an extensive study was made of this by Bruce Hare in 1993 and the realistic options in and around Inverness were very limited indeed, where would you be planning to go? I note that you include the Bught, or another City Centre localtion among your suggestions in your poll, whilst almost in the same breath bemoaning traffic congestion at East Longman. Strewth! In the absence of a bypass which remains as remote a prospect as ever, how on earth do you propose to get even a bottom of the range crowd of 3500 from the Bught along Glenurquhart Road and many of them then over the Ness Bridge at 5 o'clock on a Saturday? Then think "Old Firm" and double that up to 7000. But, since you've raised the issue, how about also giving us an overview of how the ICT Trust would fund this, unless you reckon it can be done solely by selling on the remaining 83 years of the East Longman lease? Finally, could I unobtrusively ask if you have read "Against All Odds"? In particular the chapter entitled "Finding A Home" discusses stadium location issues in some depth and the book hopefully also sheds some light on why, for instance, the stadium design and club name are as they are.

  15. It was probably some Falkirk fan, who always seem to have loads of players in under 21 squads, despite Falkirk not being very good.
