  1. more away fans than home fans again ?
  2. It's 2 years to the day that Terry and Mo took charge of the club. Although we've had a dip in form last few games. i'm sure we're all in agreement they've done a great job! Happy anniversary and thanks! Here's to another 2 (and hopefully more) years with Terry and Mo!

Just been reading all the bumf about Chelsea offering up to £60m for Torres. If I were Dalgleish I'd have that money in the bank quicker than Chelsea could sign the cheque. No way is he worth that kind of money. He seems to be injured, or just not interested at least half of the time. Let him go Kenny, you know it makes sense.
  4. Charles qoute fae other thread..."My main problem with golf, apart perhaps from some of the fashions they wear, is Colin Montgomerie since it goes against the grain to see a lot of money being made out of playing a sport by someone who is - in a word - fat." I don't quite get your ire against Monty for being fat, overweight,I can understand not liking him because he is arrogant, self centered or boorish, but think this may just be a PR thing and he just comes across poorly, as everyone i know who has spoken to him say he is a top guy in real life. That apart, there is no doubting his huge talent and skill at a sport where surely, there is no question about the skill level required to hit a ball several hundred yards into the smallest of targets and also stamina levels and mental toughness required to focus and compete for 5 hours a day,4 days in a row. Will you be going along to spectate yourself Charles? you really should give it a go, you might just enjoy it,and if you get the bug and fancy a wee shot, gie's a shout and i'll take you out for a knock, and won't wear meh tartan breeks

I think it's clear to everyone now and IMO it's been clear for months that this 4-5-1 system at home has to end and it has to end now. Why? Just look at the stats. Two wins all season in the SPL to a very mediocre Hibs and at that time, a very bad Aberdeen (and don't forget a just and no more win against Division 3 Elgin City!). Butcher seems to have no clue in how to fix the pathetic home form, well it's clear to me and many others that this formation is certainly one of the reasons why. It failed for Brewster and now it's failing for Butcher. There's no way form at home will improve any time soon until this system is punted and this can be seen clearly how time and time again Adam Rooney is left up on his own with often only the scrap of a Grant Munro hoof to deal with. But change it for what? Well IMO a switch to more traditional 4-4-2 would be a clear and sensible option where Rooney has a partner to work with and benefit from. I believe that there is also is a case for a 4-3-3 with Hayes pushed into the forward line but with a license to move out wide. I'm really no fan of anything that ends in a 1 and history has shown us that an attacking ICT, is a winning ICT. The campaign starts here - 4-5-1 must go!

If I were boss, I think my favoured option at this time would be a switch to the 4-4-2 diamond, with Hayes and Doran or Ross out wide, Duncan sitting in front of the back four with Sanchez as an attacking midfielder. I'd also move Foran back to the centre to partner Rooney.
  7. My missus saw Hayes in town this afternoon and noticed he was on crutches. Hopefully just a precaution. Thats a relief if he was sitting on a mobility scooter doing his shopping then we have got big problems. You know the type of scooter I mean, similar to the one Craig Brown sits on when he does training sessions. Yeah I know the type, I wanted one mysel but apparently being a lazy bstard does not make you eligible!
  8. just like to say that for the short time on pitch, the new lad Doran showed a nice touch of the ball.would like to see more of him.Any thoughts?

IHE would say that it should be Caledonian FC and rename the North Stand to the Howden End and Johndo dreams about that as well. As many know I was an original "Animal" and probably classed as a "rebel" and I stayed away fer three seasons. But hey - the first time I came back it was just simply Inverness - and the Jeggies were always our mates with friendly banter and we all hated County and Hellgin. So maybe I am a rebel without a cause. And most of ma new mates are ex Jeggies and I would say that I was primarily responsible for chanting the O2B song and turning it away from being a Jail End taunt. INVERNESS CALEDONIAN THISTLE FC - It took a lot of feckin emotion, effort and struggle to create it and long may it remain - to me it is a constant reminder of the past and is part and parcel of our colourful history (as covered in literature by yon wee BBC **** ) I actually pride in saying that name now. As long as some dyslexic ******* doesnt rename it ITC - now that would be feckin sacriledge.
  10. I recall an incident at Pittodrie this season where Munro fell over in the box while waiting for the delivery of a Hayes free kick. In all honesty I'd quite happilly see us continue doing that. If it's good enough for everyone else to do then **** them, they can have their own medicine.
