You want Hamilton to stay up for the sake of sportsmanship and fair play? Really?3 points

Russells run was badly and illegally ended by a St Mirren defender, namely Lee Mair. It should have been a penalty as the ball was not won by the defender. In his guilt and to try and deflect away from his foul the aforementioned defender accused Russell of diving which ensured a short burst of after words. Lee Mair in the heat of the moment didnt appreciate the truth being spoken and grabbed Russell by the throat and pushed him away. A straight red card for lifting his hands in an aggressive manner. However Russell did not like this chocking and pushing action, so carried out a strange manouver, where with both hands he grabbed Lee Mairs jersey and preceeded to slam him with his chest - an old tribal greeting. Enter the snipper in the bushes ajacent to the stadium, he fired a clear shot that struck Lee Mair right in the Kyle Lafferty, his legs went like a guy kicked in the jewels by a donkey. The ref was away from the scene but the stand side linesman had a great view of the action, or Lee Mairs back, so he would likely not have seen the throat grab, but did see the bullet from the snipper. On departing the field of play, Russell in his shock saw a manager called Lennon, and started shouting his opinion on his teams tactics in an audible manner which the majority of the crowd were also thinking. Hope they appeal, as I think there are grounds to reduce this to a yellow, but there was contact, chest to chest, but the snipper is the one who should be responsible, as otherwise it was handbags. As far as Russell Duncan is concerned, you are still a legend, and this will not sour the memories we have of you in the red and blue3 points

Unfortunately Russell's career has been plagued by occasional immaturity. Both he and Mair were born in Aberdeen in late 1980 so probably know one another well. I cannot defend his immaturity but he was far from violent. In this season of whinging by Lennon and other issues surrounding respect for referees, it would be great if either Russell's red card was rescinded or Mair convicted by TV evidence of childishly getting a fellow professional sent off. It would be an amazing act of humility if Inverness gambled ?1,000 for an appeal on a player who is not critical for the last two games but who has been a great servant to the club. That and the offer of a new contract for Grant would put Inverness on the map as a truly fair and decent club. That image could increase the attractiveness of players and future support staff choosing ICT as a trustworthy and fair employer.2 points

Did anyone else see Ryan Esson having a right verbal go at the St Midden goalie just a wee while after Russell was shown red? Well done big man.2 points

Just sums up the officials, completely useless and unable to make clearly obvious decisions, and as for Mair, that was disgraceful and i'm glad they are in the shyte, thats what they deserve.1 point

Looking back over match reports, Munro started the season well, had a dip, got farmed out to full-back, then got on back form towards the end. Not too unusual for many players - has Rooney or Ross or Cox been any more consistent?1 point

At least we get to relegate Hamilton on the last day of the season now1 point

I've only been to Rovers once before, and that resulted in a 2-1 win against Millwall, (Millwall fans are proper, genuine scum bags, not like Rangers or Aberdeen scum bags, but like "Please, please, please Mr Officer, can you stand beside me as i'm struggling to concentrate on the football due to the level of bad feeling being directed in this direction, I don't think they are very well educated" scum, eeeuuuuuuwwwwwww. Danny Dyer) with Rovers scoring twice in the last 10 minutes, with Ricky Lambert scoring one of them. If we are playiong Rovers, then I might make a trip of it and go down for both games. SP. That Gold medal match was brilliant, but I wanted USA USA USA to win, as they were the underdogs. I really enjoyed the Canadian 'bouncing of the glass' celebration though. Was it not a Canucks player that scored the winner? My mate used to stay in Vancouver and is a big fan, so i'm watching for them in the playoffs as well. The twins are auwesome, as is that guy who stands infront of the goalie on power plays, I want his job. What odds on Miami/Canucks/Chelsea combo?1 point

I think the split is a good thing overall. What have we been playing for in the last 6 months? What have we been discussing all the time? Without the split, most of our season would have been a series of meaningless friendlies, with no chance of the title or Europe, and no chance of relegation. How dull would that have been?1 point

Delighted to hear he played well again. But can anyone explain why he seldom demonstrated his importance to the team earlier in the season? The obvious explanation is that he is now fighting hard to win a next contract (either here or elsewhere) but does that not sort of suggest that he wasn't giving 100% previously?1 point

I suspect I may be wasting my breath, but you're totally missing the point. You've said it yourself, you like to jump about...the rules say you are not allowed. Whether you agree with the rules or not, if you are asked to stop and you refuse and/or give back chat then you are antagonising the situation and you CAN NOT WIN that argument in that situation. It doesn't matter how many other people are standing, where they are standing or who they support....you are in the wrong and the fact they are also in the wrong and just so happen to be getting away with it does not suddenly make you right. It might not be fair, but lots of things in life are like that and maybe with age you'll come to realise it. Like it or not, we live in a society governed by rules and regulations...and there's plenty of them which people do not agree with. If you choose to fight that by going out of your way to break the rules to make your point then you have to accept the consequences and, when your breaking of the rules starts to impact on others you have to accept the criticism that comes from that as well. I've not once said I agree with the rules or the actions of the stewards, what I am saying is that your actions should not be allowed to spoil things for others. When stewards are wading in because you are not adhering to the rules (you have admitted you don't) then that interferes with the enjoyment of the game for others....what gives you that right? Have you even stopped for so much as a second to consider other people or is it a simple case of "we're enjoying ourselves, screw everyone else"? I bet you're the kind of person that likes to play music full blast at all hours of the day and are of the opinion that if the neighbours don't like it then they should move? I'll quite happily back any campaign to get rid of the "you must sit" rule, and I have (and will again) go to bat for anyone I think has been unjustly treated. What I won't do is give any backing to those such as yourself who think they can do as they please with impunity...regardless of whether I agree with the rules being breached or not. I don't want to see you guys being ejected or banned from games, but if your actions are causing problems and spoiling things for others then I'd rather see you turfed than them stop attending games. I'm all for creating atmosphere, I'm all for having a bit of craic and I don't even mind the swearing or slightly tasteless songs/chants (within reason)....I have/do partake of such things myself at games. I'll stand at games when/where I think I can get away with it, but if asked to sit then I do so....not because I think I should, but because I know trying to argue is a fruitless task. At the end of the day, the choice is yours. But please not have the "poor wee innocents" routine, especially not when you've openly admitted to breaking the rules and being of the opinion that if others don't like it then it's their tough.1 point

Mair is an absolute disgrace for feigning a headbutt from Duncan in a delberate and blatant attempt to get a fellow professional sent off. As usual the stand side linseman was shocking and misread the situation completely. Made all the worse by the fact that it means this is now the last time we will see Duncan in an ICT shirt (unless Butcher appeals the sending off, but frankly i don't believe he will) Personally i think that, if it comes down to the wire, we should throw the Hamilton game to get these cheats relegated.-1 points

As i suspected ICT are now a few points ahead of Motherwell in 6th place. Same situation when we finished with more points that 6th place Hibs in 2004/5 ( i think) I was thinking that it would be nice if there was an extra incentive introduced after the split; that if the team in 7th finished with more points than the team in 6th then they swap! Or something. I know there is a possible flaw in this. What if the team in 8th also had more points etc etc. But still its so annoying as ICT lose out financially again! I suppose there is the argument that ICT should have made it to 6th place when they had the chance. anyway just a little rant! Glad to see ICT mixing it up at the top & bottom of the SPL!-2 points
