Having seen the cringeworthy antics of some parents at street league and youth level, some seem to assume if wee Johnny is "training with the Caley/County" they are virtually semi professional and it's merely a matter of time before their wee prodigy is spotted and moved on to greater things, it must come as a great blow to discover the next Dalglish isn't coming from their family!2 points

The point about National Service is that it would stop youngsters becoming "trash" in the first place. I appreciate that many of the looters are younger than the age kids would be called for National Service but these youngsters are influenced and pressured by the older kids to behave in that way. All too often the younger kids are forced into the worst acts of antisocial behaviour in order to be accepted by the gang. National Service would help engender a more socially responsible attitude in the youngsters. Those who have done their service will no longer want to behave like this, whilst those a little younger would be off the streets doing their service. Both these factors would help to minimise the poisonous cycle of peer pressure and who knows, children might actually behave like children again1 point

My father and his brother were National Service soldiers who were sent into a warzone in early fifties and that statement is offensive to their memory. Having said that I believe National Service would not be a bad thing if only to hammer some discipline, respect and dignity into those who need it. Come on Alex, there was no inference at all that those who had done National Service in the past were viewed as "trash". The point clearly being made was that those out looting and burning are the "trash" and FoolPhysio would not want to see them tarnishing the good name or reputation of our armed forces.1 point

Do not, repeat, DO NOT bring back National Service. We have the best and most professional armed services in the world. We do not want it diluted with this trash.1 point

I haven't seen enough of the team this season to properly pick a starting eleven but concur with IHE that surely TB and MM must have some sort of settled first eleven in mind. I would like to think that they do as surely training is based around such selections. However maybe they are performing better in training than on the pitch hence the changes. Based on my limited viewing of the team this season (was in Paris at weekend and not watched Alba coverage of game yet) here goes: Esson Piermayr, Aldred, Hogg, G Shinnie Jones Hayes, Ross, Tansey, Doran Foran1 point

Do these morons not have a single brain cell between them? The country is in serious financial difficulty so they behave in a way which will the cost the taxpayer billions to clean up and which will only mean there is less chance of their neighbourhood getting better facilities. They complain about the way the boys in blue police their area and yet behave in a way which can only mean that policing will need to be tougher in the future. They steal from their friends and neighbours, destroy the liveliehoods of their friends and neighbours and take actions which cause injury and actually threaten the lives of their friends an neighbours. They are tearing the hearts out of their own communities. But how do you punish the few that will get caught? Prison will do no good. We need to get these folk forced to do some good in society so they can learn to appreciate the freedoms we have in this country - freedoms which countless people over the years have died for in our armed forces. They should be forced to do some real work in clearing up the mess they have caused and in providing services to the needy in society - after all, how can the Government pay to care for the sick and elderly when resource has to be poured in to deal with this kind of situation. If they don't make a worthwhile contribution to society then why should society make a contribution to them. Lock them up and throw away the key.1 point

I think having a mascot is really good for the younger fans especially at a small family friendly club like ourselves You need someone who acts and behaves like a clown and absolutely everyone laughs at rather than laughs with I'd say Chorley would be a good starting recruiting base dougal1 point

I know a woman who's son was in the youth set up at ICT but was dropped at the point there was a huge shake up many years ago and the vitriol she has for ICT is unhealthy. He was taken on at Ross County. Needless to say she's a Celtic fan, "offended by everything. ashamed of nothing".1 point

What about one of those cards with a built in message. Could have Sorry and Good Luck for the future with a coaching signature - and when you open it it goes - "You're sh** - AAAaahhhhhhhhhhhh"0 points

Looks like parents making a lot of fuss over nothing...whilst they're busy going round mumping and moaning about a pointless piece of paper, the lad seems to have taken it on the chin and moved on. Makes you wonder who it is that really wants/needs the piece of paper...I suspect it's the parents.0 points

I've been reading Pie & Bovril tonight and the Orcs are livid about the cost of concession tickets for the game on Saturday I've got to admit they do appear hugely excessive, surely the club should be reducing the costs of concession tickets as these are the fans of the future ?25 for a child to sit in the main stand is an absolute disgrace in my book http://ictfc.com/tickets/ticket-prices discuss dougal-3 points
