  1. I was speaking to a Europcar insider and he said he hadn't got a clue!!!
  2. Oddquine, Nobody beyond a few making money or desperate for success supports drug cheats. There are lots out there who have gotten away with it. Those caught are punished according to rules or statute. As the Dalai Lama said in Inverness yesterday you can forgive but forget is a different word. Some drug cheats have served their sentence and are free. Dundee and Motherwell have served their sentence and are free. Rangers are just beginning their sentence. We will forgive one day, but we will not forget. The olympic principles followed by the majority and monitored by those able to are surely the principles of Scotland? Fairness, decency, honesty, compassion, respect – fair play; knowing one’s own limits; and taking care of one’s health and the environment excellence – how to give the best of oneself, on the field of play or in life; taking part; and progressing according to one’s own objectives friendship – how, through sport, to understand each other despite any differences ....should that not also be the basis of the SPL's rebirth? 12 teams, 12 votes, decision by majority, not minority two? Rewards by sporting integrity not excessive borrowing and use of 'loans' to players?
  3. Hibs have reported tonight that they will say No to a newco joining the SPL - is it not about time our club had the b*lls to come out and state their intention one way or another rather than sitting on the fence as it is becoming more obvious by the day that the vote will go against them - Time to be a sheperd and not a sheep !!!!!
  4. 1 point
Never mind becks..... ha ha ha ha ha ohhhhhh hah hah!!!!!
  5. New training kit looks pretty smart.
  6. The issue is surviving until such time as you can make meaningful reduction in costs. Clubs, including ours, will have set budgets for next season on the basis of the expected TV and Commercial income. Players will have been contracted on that basis and other financial commitments will have been made. You can't just tear up a players contract and they will also have buy-out clauses etc...one way or another you have to give them money to get rid, and you can't give them something if it doesn't come in. Motherwell appear to be similar to us financially, insofar as not having debts, but also having nothing in the bank. Which means that if TV and other Commercial partners cancelled contracts for next season then they need to find the best part of £1 Million to plug the whole or go into voluntary administration because they quite simply do not have the money needed to trade. They would have to clear out every member of staff drawing a wage (players and off-field), turn off the power, stop pitch maintenance...everything that needs paid for comes to an immediate halt because they have no money. This is a very real consideration for a few clubs.
  7. Maybe they should do what some other clubs have to do and cut their cloth to fit. Move out high earners. We have to do it. Hearts are doing it. Maybe then we'll all get to a situation where all teams can compete on fairly even terms.
