  1. Ross Draper and Billy McKay have signed new deals!
  2. Hello all, just want to say that Newport fan's are delighted to see Gary Warren doing so well for you guys since his move north and getting a 2 year deal. Having browsed your forum I see that you seem to like Gary and was wondering what you guys thought of him joining you pre season? Did you expect him to be any good after coming from the 5th level of the English League? All the best for the rest of the season and if you want to send a friendly our way after getting Gary on a free then we wouldn't say no.
  3. Billy McKay has signed a two-year contract extension. The forward has scored 18 goals for the Highland outfit this season. Midfielder Ross Draper has also agreed a one-year extension to follow defender Gary Warren, who signed a new deal last week. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21703400
  4. So we now have our back bone for next season sorted. With Esson, Meekings, Warren, Draper, Mckay, Foran and Graeme Shinnie all signed, if Tudor Jones, Raven, Devine, and Doran sign, id say we are in a great position for next season given the quality there, and the fact these lads have played together whereas other clubs will be bringing in new players for next season who wont have played at this level before, and wont know the league, it could also give us a head start on the rest of the league. ict for the league 2013/14
  5. I've got some chips if you want to widdle on them? You seem to be ignoring the fact that when they are under contract, if they are going to go then the contract holders have the right of getting some money for relinquishing it early. We are not so daft that we think they are bound inexorably into the club until the end of the contract period, but we are more relieved that they have stated a commitment towards ICT for now and that they are not just going to up and disappear immediately should an offer be touted or be actively looking for a new club to ply their trade.
  6. not impossible but highly improbable. As Mr Bannerman hinted above, it would probably take a computer to work out the permutations involved since all 9 clubs below us are involved in playing each other. All 9 would have to pass us while at the same time taking points off each other. So my gut feeling is that Mannie is right. Almost as complicated is whether we can be knocked out of the top six by 4 of the teams below us. They only have 4 games left, apart from St Johnstone who have 3. If you make top six you can't be relegated anyway...... I've done it in a spreadsheet, and we can still be relegated. On a more positive note, we can still win the title too. But in reality neither are going to happen. I don't know about that. Just returned from the future and it seems we win the title. Other than a bottle of 8 yo Absinthe there doesn't seem to have been anything else that would suggest it wasn't a real experience ;-))))
