  1. It is interesting that the lead in for this on the radio news was the fact that for oh-so-many-years there are no OF players in the senior nominations. No doubt this will be used by their slavering supporters as yet more evidence of how the relegation of "We Are the Peepul" has damaged Scottish football, when in fact it just illustrates the opposite!

  2. If nobody minds (and even if some do) I thought I'd plug my article for The Terrace looking individually at each player's performances this season. I'm sure there will be differences of opinion - I look forward to them! 6. That's correct Kingsmills, but according to the wee Ibrox boy's logic <sarcasm on> the arenas in Germany should be half empty and TV deals cancelled, alternatively the Bundesliga redcuced to 10 teams, one of which has to be 1860 Munich who are to be made owners of the old Olympic stadium by decree and given 500 million Euros to build a team that can rival Bayern for the title while all other arenas are to be reduced to 15 K seats to make sure no team outside Munich (which is BTW the captial of German media as well) will ever compete for the title. Oh and I forgot that Bayern Munich has to be turned into a Catholic club while 1860 must be Protestant. <sarcasm off>

  8. I think we should bring in 3 or 4 players none of us has ever heard of. Seemed to work OK this season.

  9. I agree with above. Think the smart money is on Higdon - both McGinn & Griffiths have been good for their teams but havent managed to get their sides into top 6, although some of the goals Griffiths has scored have been expectional and without those 2 players who knows how close to relegation boths Hibs & Dons would be. Overall Higdon has been consistent all year and shown by the fact hs is top SPL scorer and Well are now second, sadly Andy has dipped in form a wee bit recently, but its great he is recognised especially unlike the others he hasnt scored near as many goals it shows that his creativity has been noticed. Must be slightly frustrating for both our board and Motherwell to both have players that could be names SPL player of the year but are out of contract in the summer so walk away for nothing when this could have produced interst from bigger clubs and transfer fees.

  10. I must admit that I didn't see the game on Sunday so I don't know just how little effort he may have put in but in the role that Shinnie plays in it's not his job to go charging all over the pitch closing men down. I don't think that is a particularly fair stick to beat him with. That said, I do agree that he has been very much under par. In recent games, such as against Hibs, he did show quality but also seemed to spend a lot of time on his arse after falling over himself. I'll be sad to see him go, he's a quality player, but he has been very subdued ever since the 3 - 0 Aberdeen game in January only occasionally showing what he is capable of.
