Dont really give a toss about the 2nd kit, its a change kit and should give us an opportunity to try different combinations ... Dont recall us ever having had a red/black kit so no problem with that ..... However, I definitely think our home strip should always be some combination of Red/Blue stripes and we should stick with that year in and year out. Maybe alternate the thickness of the stripes, or which colour is more predominant so sales don't suffer, but always striped. Black/White can be added as piping just as it is now and all our historical colours are then taken care of.
  2. I'd forgotten that Barrenman had moved to Dundee. This means he now holds the honour of having been relegated from the SPL 3 times with 3 different clubs. It is actually the only hatrick of his career.
  3. If you haven't noticed, it's on the articles page! http://caleythistleonline.com/page/index.html/_/news-2012-13/cto-player-of-the-year-201213-r1052 Many congratulations to Andrew Shinnie, who is the thirteenth winner of the website's annual award. I'm sure CaleyD will find an excuse to take a trip to Birmingham and present him with the trophy! Thanks for all your votes - we had 25% more than we did last year.
  4. The list of previous winners (when at their peak) makes quite a team. Esson Tokely Golobart Mann Golabek Wilson Cowie Black Robson Shinnie Dargo

Disagree with that caleyboy. People tend to associate a team with their home colours, so if ICT were just all blue like Caledonian it would no doubt (and rightly so) upset the Thistle brigade. I personally feel (and I've said this before) the home should be 50% blue and 50% red, preferabbly stripes or halves. And the away should be white and black like the current away. This way all colours of the previous two clubs are being used but in a way that is unique to ICT!!
  6. not sure if this should be in this topic or in the "who should we sign" one but apparently Mark Brown may be coming to us as a back-up keeper!! Also rumours are that Ikonomou and Hainault are on their way out of Ross County. Oh dear County, oh dear...

Ach, IHE is pasta his best as for Dani ... hope he scores on his debut, otherwise while his scoring tally stays at naan, his new team will be waiting a while for him to poppadam goal in.
  8. We didnt start this award until 2000/01 season ..... wonder who we would have added if we had done this from the very first season .... Here's the officially recognised awards from each season .. for some reason I dont have last year (other than our own)
  9. with Liam Keogh and Jonny Hayes as subs ..... It hadnt registered with me that we have had enough players in different positions who have won it to make a full team without any of them really looking out of place positionally .... these awards (in general) tend to go to 'glory' players like attacking mids or strikers so happy to see the CTO membership over the years is discerning enough to recognise great talent in whatever position it plays

Why don't we arrange a meeting and a vote at Rosé street ?

A "Caley" home and "Thistle" away shirt is a bad idea IMO. All it'll do is open up old wounds, particularly as the "Caley" shirt would be used more (strange how that's always the one identified as being the home kit, why not by the same token, Thistle at home and Caley away?). We should be creating an identity for our club as "one" (encapsulating "togetherness" if you will), and going to a relatively equal red and blue home kit (preferably as a striped jersey). Having two different identities for the home and away shirts would do the exact opposite.
  14. I can say from experience that trying to impress scouts by playing in a kilt can hamper yer overall performance.
