  1. I've made a few enquiries about rescheduling our preliminary plans for July, and the draft fixture list looks quite tempting. Sun 6 Friendly Clachnacuddin Kingston Tue 8 Friendly Fort William Nevis Sat 12 Friendly Montrose Montserrat Tue 15 Friendly Brora Barbados Wed 16 Friendly Muir of Ord Port of Spain Sat 19 Friendly Arbroath Aruba Wed 23 Friendly Elgin Holguin Sat 26 League St Johnstone St Lucia A luxury cruise liner has been provisionally booked to accomodate and transport the team and the fans between islands, to be paid for by the same long queue of sponsors who are donating to the scoreboard fund. However, with the SPFL insisting that the first game kicks off at 12.30pm on a Sunday, long before even the first Megabus gets in, a fleet of jets is being arranged by CaleyJags Together to get us all over there in time. Red Stripe have kindly offered to subsidise the transport cost of this down to a very reasonable £10 per head. There will of course be a toilet stop at Broxden.
  2. Rangers were not relegated! It's extraordinary that this perception persists for some. It should be remembered that, like Hearts, Rangers 'punishment' for going into administration was a points penalty. However, unlike Hearts, Rangers failed to come out of administration and were subsequently liquidated. This resulted in Dundee taking-up the vacant spot in the (then) SPL. That left the (then) Scottish Football league with 29 member clubs with the (then) 3rd Division requiring an additional team. Ordinarily, this would have led to a vote to elect a new member, be it Spartans, Cove Rangers or whoever, assuming they could provide 3 years of audited accounts to verify their suitability as a solvent club. As history shows, the goalposts were conveniently moved to allow the newly-formed 'The Rangers' their place in the bottom tier. A different entity but certainly not a relegated 'Rangers' team.
  3. Another ex old firm player getting a Premiership coaching role! Kenny Shiels will be soiling himself with anger!

I can't believe the people who contribute to many of the threads on this site. Not so long ago folks were complaining because we were giving short contracts and now they complain about long ones. Is it an Invernessian mannerism? Glass always half empty and all that.
  5. The justification for this latest attempt is reported to be on the grounds of "health & safety" of their players, who have to play week in week out. Quite a neat idea, as health and safety of players is always stated as being paramount to the footballing authorities. When this one fails, what other trump cards can we expect them to play - racism, ageism?
  6. What positivity on this news ....What a lovely refreshing change. I remember dreading when he was playing against us due to his ability as a player ,so if he is half as good as an assistant he will do well. I am looking forward to confirmation of his appointment and him starting as I do believe we need some stability now.
  7. And it was an absolute disgrace that The Rangers were parachuted into SFL3 without a vote on a new club gaining admittance to the SFL.
  8. Thought I had been smoking something when I heard this. Hope ICT turns out to be the right joint for him. And yes I can remember him ripping us a new a hole on more than one occassion. Think it would be good for our forward thinking players, you never now Dwight Yorke might turn up to do some training with the forwards too, best friends I seem to recall
  9. Wot no moans and groans, am I on the right forum............ ..........
  10. Pre-season tour of the Caribbean?
  11. i doubt that very much. Going by the semi final last year, and also all the away games this year, only a 1/3 of the crowd will stand and sing for the entire match. (if your lucky). Is anyone able to tell me the designated singing area?
