  1. U20's playing Dunfermline just now at TCS in last league game this season. 18:00 kick off A win tonight will see us finish possibly 6th and no worse than 7th. ICT:- Draper Cooper Howarth Gorman Brown Williams Pepper Polworth Sutherland Ross Evans Pars:- Wilson Williamson Martin Young O'Kane Graham Mercer Spence Thomas Dargo McLair 20 mins gone and no scoring, but that's about to change.......... Official ICTFC ‏@ICTFC 23- Sutherland nicely slips through Evans, but the Irishman is just offside 26- Gorman long ball produced a footrace between Evans and Pars keeper, Wilson which Evans won, but his shot was well saved. 28- GOAL ICT! Adam Evans slots the ball past Pars keeper, Jamie Wilson after Ali Sutherland slipped him through. 29- Almost an instant reply for the Pars as Draper fumbled Scott Mercer's cross before clawing it behind for a corner. 45- Half Time 1-0 Adam Evans is now 6th top score with 11 goals, one fewer than new sensation Ryan Christie. Hibs Jason Cummings leads the table with 18, how Mr Butcher would like him to grow up quicker. Hibs are top of the table as well although Celtic and the Rangers have games in hand and can go to the top. 53- Danny Williams trying to make something happen, but his effort went wide of the target. 55- GOAL ICT! Ali Sutherland doubles ICT's lead! Sutherland pounced on the loose ball after Evans' initial shot was saved by Wilson to put it in, nicking it off the toes of Pepper. 2-0 57 - Dunfermline looking to level things up immediately but Declan O'Kane headed just over. 64 - Great save by Nick Draper after some nice build up from the Pars ended with Dargo squaring to Thomas, but Draper saved his effort. 67- Adam Evans looking for more goals, cutting inside Kerr Young and shooting, but his effort was tame and easily gathered. 78- Nearly a third for ICTFC as Sutherland surges forward before sliding in Evans, but his shot was scooped over. 80- Nearly a goal back for the Pars, but again, no end product. This time, Cammy McLair's sliced cross was headed over by Thomas. 81- GOAL! ICT! Matthew Cooper with a beauty! 3-0 Cooper linked up nicely with Evans on the edge of the area before whipping his shot into the top corner, left footed from 18 yards. 83- Ali Sutherland almost making it four with a looping effort from 20 yards the fell just wide of the target. 85- Penalty Dunfermline! Cooper brought down McLair in the area after a poor clearance from Draper. 85- GOAL! Dunfermline score a consolation from the spot through Finn Graham. 3-1 Full Time 3-1

  2. Reminds me of the time I walked past (honest!) a well known gay pub, and because there was some work being done to the door that day there was a sign up saying, I kid ye not, "Please use rear entrance."

  3. I'm no fashionista by any stretch of the imagination but I'm sure I detected a recent trend for retro tops...bold, simple designs. Is that not the market telling us something? Why oh why we need to over elaborate the shirt with blurred lines, swooshes and multi-patterns is beyond this grumpy old git. Probably keeps a few designers in white-framed spectacles mind you... Rene's post #74 is pretty close to ideal without that daft shape on the back...but I'm not holding my breath.

  5. Good wee game, Evans took his goal well as did Cooper. Some nice touches here and there, agree with most of the previous post regarding who stays & who goes. Being last game not the best one to make final judgements, seen quite a lot of U20's this season and great to see the youngsters have a good season overall.

  6. Yup. FC were 2-0 down in their 'last ever game at Gigg Lane' but came back to win 3-2 infront of 3500. Chorley won against Marine infront of 2200. I believe their fans were on the pitch celebrating before they heard FC had scored lol. So final day decider. FC away to Barwell who have a ground similar to Nairn County. The 2500 capacity ground is preparing for an invasion of 2000 Reds. Chorley away to Buxton. Follow follow follow United are going to Barwell Ther'll be thousands of Reds We'll be pissed out our heads Cz United are going to Barwell

  9. I'm not even sure we would've gotten to the final! Butcher's teams seem to have a real habit of blowing important matches and I doubt that semi-final would've been any different!

  10. Last season under Butcher, from mid December to end of season we won 6. In the same period this season, Yogi has won 5 already. Similar form to last season. Aye keep hearing this going backwards stuff but the stats really dont show this as youve said. From clear in second with games in hand to struggling to fend off St Johnstone for fifth. I'm confused. In what respect is that not going backwards ? I think the point being made is that while not necessarily habitual, we are no strangers to the mid-season or second half of the season slump ... I recall that happening more than once, and as correctly pointed out, last year was the most recent example. So are we going backwards or are we merely doing exactly what we did last year and in (some) previous years regardless of who is in charge? Hughes is getting a lot of **** thrown at him for everything from his tactics to his eloquence (or lack thereof) and yes he must take some of that on the chin as he is the manager and he does select the team and tactics - some of which have been a bit bizarre - but some of the vitriol is over the top. way over the top. Like many, I remain to be convinced that Yogi is the right guy, but definitely not calling for his head yet. Would we have won the final with Butcher still at the helm? who knows, he decided to leave us. Would we still be second with Butcher still in the dugout? who knows, he decided he needed a fresh challenge. Did Butcher give us a second thought when he was quaffing down the hospitality in the home section when we were playing Hibs whilst he was still ICT boss? Did he **** he seemed to enjoy the chaos he caused! I hope he enjoys the Championship next year, until he gets sacked before Christmas when it is clear he is not going to experience the same one season bounceback that he did here.. Getting back to Hughes ... I think you can glean a lot from social media these days. Before Twitter/Facebook and such like you needed to have someone on the inside giving you information or tidbits to know how things were really going. Nowadays - and I am talking in general, not specifically about ICT - signings, contracts, injuries or bust-ups can all be found on these platforms mere minutes after they happen, and often before any official announcements. Quite a few players at ICT signed extended contracts after Hughes' arrival, and I dont think I have seen any comments on Twitter that indicate the players are unhappy or he has lost the dressing room. The cherry on top for me is Foran. This is a guy who we all expected to follow TB down the road before the exit door had actually closed but no, he has committed himself to ICT for what is basically the rest of his career ....

Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.

That's another fine mess you've got us into.

      Chairman Ross Morrison resigns

Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June.  More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.

Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”

Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.

“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.

“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”
