  1. https://www.facebook.com/ICTFC?fref=nf Gary Warren being sold too!!!
  2. Are you sure ????? He's only got one leg. He must hop like the wind.
  3. I quite liked Boardroom Banter when it was on the go. Very helpful way of the club communicating with the fans.
  4. I confess, I underestimated John Hughes - but am delighted to admit it! Although we've players to get signed-up, I agree with Kingsmills (from an earlier post) that we should be looking to extend the manager's contract. He's proved his worth. I was a huge Terry Butcher fan but the club will always be bigger than any personality. Here's a table to celebrate both Terry and Yogi's time at the club - and Robbo's, of course! But, Paterson (for me) remains the 'God' for improving our then novice club, year-on-year in the Scottish League. Key: Red = best ever Year = season ending (ie 2004/05 = 2005) Any entry = 'best ever' or equalled 'best ever', at the time New nomenclature used ie (old 3rd Division = League Two)
  5. Again, it's a matter of resource....and planning that resource around an ever changing match schedule. We used to tweet from the home matches, but as soon as the SFA started insisting on evening games in brighter months and then winter weather set in, meaning matches started getting shifted around (location, date & times) then it became impossible for volunteers to maintain their commitment to assisting.
  6. It's a pity our Twitter doesn't cover Development League games. Even if we're the home team, any line-ups, scorers and updates are to be found on the opposition's Twitter!
  7. What we need is an online fanzine !!
  8. I concur...was thinking Magic Roundabout might be a fun one to use.
  9. Would be happy to meet you, take you through what's done at the club and discuss your ideas.
  10. Has Richie grown a beard - will anybody ever match Nod ?

Pre-Partick Poser.... Which 3 'pairs' of current ICT players have played together at another club? By 'pair', I mean (for example) Ryan Christie played with Gary Warren at Brechin City. Obviously that's wrong - but that's the format! Not just looking for 'common clubs' but actually 'pairs' who played together in the same match. e.g. Esson & Watkins have both had spells at Hereford - but didn't ever play together. All 3 'answers' actually started games together - not just a 92nd minute substitution.
  14. The last part of that interview about the personality of signing targets is interesting, and something we tend to not think about as fans when saying who we should sign. It's often said that the great team spirit is a factor behind us punching above our weight and you can understand the manager being careful not to spoil that by bringing in a bad apple. So you might get a good striker who is available and affordable, but if for example he's had 18 clubs and got kicked out of his most recent one because of personality clashes, he's less likely to be what Hughes is looking for. These character references might make it harder for us to make a signing, but you can see where the manager is coming from.
  15. Nothing really new. I would like to think everything said has been ongoing for a while. With the clubs wages being what they are I still think it's dangerous to leave it this late in a players contract to start to tie them down. Players with no previous thought of leaving could be turned with the carrot of more money if clubs now approach them. Agreed and exactly the reason why I think we should be more proactive in getting players tied to new deals sooner rather than later.
  16. I'm afraid Januarys will always be shitey if we're doing well! Were a small "selling" club, so will lose good players to wealthier teams. We might be p!ssed off with our lot, but Hamilton have done even worse. Not many fans of Scot Prem teams are very happy - Celtic and Aberdeen were the only winners.
  17. Or even...Come on the Jags !
  18. We all want Meekings to stay, but at what cost? Hard to blame the stalemate on the club without knowing what his agent is demanding. Meanwhile, it doesn't help us that the player is in the press advertising his availability.
  19. Sorry to get into this DD, but having spoken to Yogi after almost every game of his tenure thus far, he hasn't changed his philosophy one jot. It's simple - if we keep the ball the opposition can't hurt us. It's also pretty effective, we've scored a lot of second half goals as teams tire after being moved around so much. Under TB, we would increasingly put long diagonal balls into the channels for crosses but there were times when it really didn't work. Now, that ball is played into those channels effectively. In terms of change from TB to JH, the transition was quite painful as the style of game was changed radically - hence that "slump" at the end of last season. The first bit of that was to teach players that they were good enough to play this type of game ( and not hang them out to dry for their mistakes) and then get them to do it. They never had that type of approach under TB. Look at Hughes's interviews and see how often he uses terms like "teach" "educate" "learn" What you are seeing now is a group who have outgrown TB's legacy and surpassed it with some ease. This is due to Hughes & Latapy. Please bear in mind that the players you refer to were identified in England's lower leagues by Steve Marsalla for their low price and potential and it's under Hughes that they are realising it and increasing their value. This is no more Butcher's team than anyone else's - it's Caley Thistle's team but it's Hughes that is taking it forward.
