  1. Hi Guys , Falkirk Bairn here, Ive been reading your posts about ticket sales etc and some of u are right its not a competition to see who sells most its a competition to see how full BETWEEN US we can get Hampden. I appreciate travel is far more difficult for your lot ...we have an easy journey. But you are representing the Highlands and I hope along with the ICT fans other fans will join you in what could be / will be a great day. At the moment Falkirk have sold 14 000 and have requested another 2 000 .....our allocation like yours is 18 000 for the game. Id guess ICT are on about 8-10 000 which is fantastic . Im sure you will sell many more ....remember we are still over 2 weeks away. Lets show these idiots who reckon the "wee teams" cant fill Hampden ..".its going to be the lowest ever Scottish Cup Final etc etc etc" ....Sponsors allocation and neutrals have 10 000 set aside (about 200 for every team in the Scottish leagues) So between us lets aim to fill the remaining 42 000. I predict a crowd in the region of 44 000 and whether we or you have the most fans is ifrrelevant both sets of supporters will raise the roof.....Looking forward to seeing you there. BTW I dont know if ICT are doing this to promote sales but Falkirk FC have been visiting all the schools and industries in the area with the Scottish Cup to drum up sales. Why dont you get local schools to organise buses filled with £5 ticket kids too. Cheers " A Bairn"

  3. That story shows he is very clever .... he "wants" to stay (ergo he is a great lad in the fans eyes) but says its down to his agent and the club (absolving himself of any blame if it goes pear shaped). The agent will no doubt be trying to get the best deal he can for his client (and his own commission) so it may not happen. Would love to see him signed up if he is within our budget but not willing to break the bank for him !

  4. If picked, both Gary Warren and Ross Draper will enter the '100 club' tomorrow. They are currently on 99 league appearances each. The only Englishman in the 'club' is Josh Meekings. David Raven is also close on 96 caps but he'll have to wait until next season to hit 100! But hopefully tomorrow, Gary and Ross can become the 33rd and 34th players in the all-time '100 club' list.

  6. Baptie has been told he won't be offered a new contract. - and a decision on Ferguson will be given next week. If that is true then a new Left back needs to be top of the shopping list for next season.

  7. I don't really know what to make of Tarmo Kink, mainly because of the lack apperances but what I've seen of him, it certainly looks like he was signed up to add up the numbers for the squad. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt but if he can't make the same impact that Edward Ofere has then he shouldn't really be kept on for next season in my opinion. I appreciate that money is tight and to get a higher calibre of player you need to splash the cash but I feel we are just wasting money on players like Kink and Horner just to sit on the bench and in the developmental team. I agree with CaleyDawson, give the younger guys a chance.

  8. Charlie Sheen getting in on the act, seen here after tying a scarf round Nessie's neck at the Holm - Dores road roundabout!

  9. At least Mckay and Rooney, even when things weren't going their way, looked interested in the game. Kink has been anonymous each time he's come on and the one appearance I did see him play 90 minutes in the U20s, he looked no better than some of the teenage players. Going by his Wikipedia page, he hasn't played the equivalent of a season's worth of games since 2010 and I've a few comments from his time at Middlesbrough that suggest his lack of effort is a fairly regular occurrence. Can't say I'd be shedding any tears if he left us.

  10. On Kink, I remember very similar things being said on here about Billy Mckay and Adam Rooney in their first season with us. Give the guy a chance. It's encouraging to see we are still talking at this stage to all 7 players and no-one has had a "That's the best we can offer yet" as Butcher liked to tell the press when it was clear someone was leaving.

  11. Driving along Sir Walter Scott Drive today I noticed someone has tied an ICT scarf to the feet of the eagle at the roundabout near Harry Ramsdens. I think, in the run up to the Scottish Cup Final, it should be mandatory that all statues in Inverness must be adorned with the red and blue shirts and scarves of ICT !

  12. In his career, he's issued more yellow and more red cards to Falkirk than he has to Inverness, despite officiating two fewer ICT games. (34 ICT matches - 32 Falkirk matches). We need to stop being so paranoid. After what happened in the semi, can we really be in a position to criticise referees?!

  13. never really had any issue with Falkirk. The last ever game at Brockville, which was between Falkirk and ICT and had Hughes in the managerial dugout for them was my last game before emigrating and I have fond memories of us beating them 3-2 with goals from Bobby Mann (1 credited to Davie Nicholls who sliced it into his own net from a free kick, and 1 from a superb free kick where there was no doubt. Bobby of course would no doubt say "Meh Goal" to both) and the winner from Charlie Christie. After a season where we had fought it out fiercely but they had simply been the better side over the course of the year (dont think they lost at home that year until the last day) it was a great finale. Falkirk were of course denied rightful promotion to the top flight (for the second time) because the beaks would not let them groundshare while they built a new stadium .... something they allowed after a fight for Caley Thistle just a year later. I am surprised that more has not been made of the Falkirk connection to Hughes who is in their top 5 managers for games managed (regardless of the conflicting figures on different sites). I am looking forward to this despite not being able to make the journey and despite Willie Collum being the referee. I really hope we do not underestimate Falkirk in the slightest as we have had some real ding dong battles over the years and as we know ourselves, the top clubs in the championship can certainly go toe to toe with premiership sides, especially in a one-off game for all the marbles !

  15. Rubbish. Shinnie's agent was blabbering off in the media as soon as he turned down a new deal, a couple of months before he signed for Aberdeen. I've read some nonsense in my time of here (a fair chunk written by me!) but saying that we should drop one of our best players and thus not field our strongest team for our biggest game ever, just to spite someone's agent is up there with the biggest amount of garbage I've ever read!

  16. I think we can forget about Foran injured all season I don't see him coming back and if he does IMO he will not be the player he was . Keep him as a coach yes but for me his playing days are over so we need to look for alternatives

  17. Tricky. We need to get the balance right between resting players and maintaining momentum, as well as giving game time to those who will feature in the final (e.g. Devine). I'd go with: Esson Raven Meekings Warren (Devine for 2nd half) Shinnie (Tremarco at 60 min) Tansey Draper Watkins Christie (Ross or Doran at 60 min) Williams Ofere Subs: Mckay, Tremarco, Devine, Ross, Polworth, Doran, Ferguson Time to really use the subs for more than just a few minutes at the end to waste time. You also want to give "fringe" guys the chance to stake a claim for a starting place in the final.

  18. I don't agree about Divedee Utd not being over physical, have you not seen Ciftci, Erskine. McGowan , Dillon and the CH Gobsh**e or what ever he's called. If ever a team will try to hamper our cup final plans it will be this lot. Watch for diving, elbows, feigning of injuries and total all round cheating.
