  1. Disagree about Kink. He had half a season to get himself match fit. The problem seemed to be lack of skill and commitment rather than lack of fitness. Can't see anything to be gained by offering him a salary for another half season. Yogi had plenty of time to assess him and clearly, like most fans, was unimpressed.
  2. I agree with Yogi's plan in bringing in a keeper on loan, but should Ofere and Ross (and guessing that Kink isn't coming back) sign up for next season, I'd say there's not many we'd need to bring in at all. I feel we're pretty well covered in defence already. As mentioned elsewhere, I reckon Williams could really blossom in the Shinnie-style wing back role and obviously we already have Tremarco. At right back, should Raven be out you've got Meekings who can slot in there, as well as Vincent, Horner and Devine if we're really stuck. We've seen in the past that Devine, Tremarco and Draper can go into centre-back no problem and you could get away with putting Foran, Horner (who's played there in the U20s) and Raven in there (Raven started out as a CB at Liverpool). We're well covered in central midfield and on the whole out wide, so one more tear-away-style winger with decent pace would be a nice to have, but we could survive without one. Again I'm banking on Tarmo Kink not returning. To be honest, I wouldn't lose any sleep if he didn't - he looked hopeless everytime he played! Should Ofere stay and with Ferguson in the first team, I'd like to see one more Mckay/Dargo style striker brought in. I don't know if Ferguson's ready to make the step-up just yet, but I'd like to see a some poacher type partner Ofere. So, that's three players, a keeper, a striker and a winger, on the presumption that Ross and Ofere stay. In truth though, should everyone stay fit, we could survive without bringing anyone in in the summer.
  3. I quite enjoy fans of other teams coming on to say their bit, livens up the forums a bit and most fans who go on to opposing teams forums tend to be pretty respectful, just saying like!!
  4. I agree with that point in isolation, but let's do the maths here: (3rd in league + 1st in Scottish Cup) > (2nd in league + knocked out of Cup at first hurdle)
  5. And the club will be €5m richer after the final in Basel next year... Maybe we could buy the Shinnie brothers back.
  6. Last Season Aberdeen won 8-0 on AGG in the 1st Round. They are seeded again this year so I think they'll be ok.
  7. So we know that wont be a problem for us cos the Dons will be knocked out by then.....
  8. Lets have a reunion next month, destination TBC :)
  9. Hard to believe our adventure started 21 years ago and during that time we have met, made friends with, and even fallen out with a good few folk along the way. I showed my wife some of the videos from last week of fans with big s***-eating grins, of Dave the Rave and the lads at the NMP, the crowds lining the streets, all sorts of random stuff and she made the comment that "ICT really is something special, isnt it". Dont tell her I said this, but she was right! ICT really is something special and I am proud to be a part of that in some small way.
  10. How bitter are you guys? Starting to sound like Dundee Utd fans. Bitter and delusional That's why he knocked back a move to England to sign for the Dons hhhmmmm Uncomfortable wearing the kit of the team his full family support (as he said 3 times in the video conference) hhhhmmmm This actually made me shake my head in disbelief. Jealous of a ****** wee club followed by about 2,000 fans? Oh dear oh dear Agreed 100% We all lose players to other clubs. However, no players are bigger than the club we love. As it should be. The guy tried his heart out for you guys. During his press conference he said that he loved the 7 years at Caley and will always be grateful to you for them. Agree 100% I have to be honest, this is the most cringe-worthy chant by any opposition team. I do have to say though. I cheered you guys for the cup. It was great to see such a young club achieve such a feat. Total Roy of the Rovers stuff. I have never had a problem with you and always like to see you do well. I hope this thread was just the fall out of losing your best player. You have a fantastic record of unearthing gems ... I am 100% convinced you will do so again. The best of luck in Europe (I hope you guys, St. Johnstone and the Dons show that Scottish football is about far more than the Bigot Brothers) and in the League (apart from against us obviously).
