  1. He's called FakeFan - must be a hint there somewhere. Maybe doogull has forgotten his login details. Anyway, don't feed the trolls.
  2. As an old Caley stalwart, somebody who originally opposed the merger and was a refusenik for quite a few seasons - Feckin Best Football Experience of my life. But I doubt whether the hundreds of non-believers will feel anything but plasticity disdain but most are now also jealous followers of other Premier League outfits.
  3. At the minute a few tandems are required and thanks for bumping the topic.
  4. Sorry 'Jondon', we've just lost our captain for last season, who we have brought through since a youth player, to our rivals who football wise are scarcely better than us. Also for nothing when realistically he would have been worth what would be a significant amount of money to us, if we could have paid him a bit more to sign his new contract. So let us have a bit of a moan eh! So to say you come in peace and call us a '****** little club with about 2,000 fans' don't be surprised to get a bit of a negative reaction. Personally I wish Graeme all the best, just can't help thinking he isn't going to achieve any more at Aberdeen than he has here. Regardless how many times we're told what a big club Aberdeen are. They're not.
  5. Although he will perhaps admit that his opening line could have been better.....!
  6. I agree with that point in isolation, but let's do the maths here: (3rd in league + 1st in Scottish Cup) > (2nd in league + knocked out of Cup at first hurdle)
  7. 1 point
not a novel idea ... I initiated a 'pay a player' scheme for ICT back in the Paterson days (its even referenced in Ian Broadfoot's book). Everyone loved the idea but ran a mile when it was time to actually put the money in .... luckily it ceased to be an issue as the timing coincided with the arrival of David Sutherland who alleviated that financial abyss ........
  8. Disagree about Kink. He had half a season to get himself match fit. The problem seemed to be lack of skill and commitment rather than lack of fitness. Can't see anything to be gained by offering him a salary for another half season. Yogi had plenty of time to assess him and clearly, like most fans, was unimpressed.
  9. Na not for me... still deserves a bit of respect but Shinnie is one of our own, went on to become captain and lead the team to win the Scottish Cup.. that's Roy of the rovers stuff. As for legendary strikers.. Rooney would be a fair bit behind Stewart & Wyness in my eyes.
  10. Even Shinnie doesn't look happy in that photo..
  11. I'd be up for that. Surely there will be 80-100 seats available to fans on a 140 - 160 seater charter.
  12. I know we made about 2-3 million from our 3 rounds. However, i'm sure St. Johnstone and Motherwell made a loss. I think the experience of playing in Europe will help you guys immensely, no matter what the finance bonus or loss
  13. How bitter are you guys? Starting to sound like Dundee Utd fans. Bitter and delusional That's why he knocked back a move to England to sign for the Dons hhhmmmm Uncomfortable wearing the kit of the team his full family support (as he said 3 times in the video conference) hhhhmmmm This actually made me shake my head in disbelief. Jealous of a ****** wee club followed by about 2,000 fans? Oh dear oh dear Agreed 100% We all lose players to other clubs. However, no players are bigger than the club we love. As it should be. The guy tried his heart out for you guys. During his press conference he said that he loved the 7 years at Caley and will always be grateful to you for them. Agree 100% I have to be honest, this is the most cringe-worthy chant by any opposition team. I do have to say though. I cheered you guys for the cup. It was great to see such a young club achieve such a feat. Total Roy of the Rovers stuff. I have never had a problem with you and always like to see you do well. I hope this thread was just the fall out of losing your best player. You have a fantastic record of unearthing gems ... I am 100% convinced you will do so again. The best of luck in Europe (I hope you guys, St. Johnstone and the Dons show that Scottish football is about far more than the Bigot Brothers) and in the League (apart from against us obviously).
