interesting to hear the commentators on OAM mention the "grass isnt always greener" opinion and also mention the lack of success of managers who have left ICT.
  2. We need to get Storey signed up for the whole season before it´s too late
  3. Great result. Miles Storey was outstanding but what a team goal the first one was with Storey getting he finishing touch. Fon-Williams was in fine form after the break as County upped their levels, but we always looked interested when countering. Some great blocks and last ditch tackles and just when it looked as though County had blown over, they scored and we were back under the cosh. 2-1 it was though and a tremendous three points over County's best side for years. No flops today, they all did their jobs, Polworth and all who put in a thumping tackle seconds after receiving treatment. Respect dude. Great atmosphere in the away end and the home support were pretty much subdued after the quick one-two just before the break. Happy Bunny tonight
  4. Right we have 500K. Use it for a better contract for Hughes and getting Storey signed up
  5. There are 3 major trophies in Scottish Football, League Championship, Scottish Cup and League Cup. Highly unlikely we will win the SPL in the immediate future so best chance of a trophy is to win one of the cups. Why on earth would we want to play a weakened side and pass up the chance of winning a trophy?.
  6. Agreed. That just what I was saying during the game. Much more than a finisher (which he is also good at). Would be great to have him stay beyond January.
  7. Storey showing up as likely a better option than Mckay.
  8. Well chuffed with the win over a good County side, now looking forward to watching the match on BBC Alapa tonight.
  9. thats because as I walked into bar at five to one i was told bus was leaving in five minutes. The bus eventually left at quarter past one as too many people had been told it was 1.15pm but some were told 1.30pm. Fortunately their mates at the pub texted them to get to the pub asap and eveyone caught it. Great match though and we all enjoyed it
  10. Might have a wee nosey at over the seethe message board tonight, telly's usually rotten on a Saturday
  11. Excellent result. Sounds like a very nervy last few minutes, but we held out. 3 good league wins in a row now. Maybe we should play against top 6 every week!

Apparently a £200k compensation clause in JH's contract (although reported in the Record, so probably inaccurate). If correct, well done the board! Yogi's problem is that, wherever he goes, it will be impossible to match the success here. He came into a team on the rise with a great team spirit. Any team he goes to at this stage in the season will be failing - a very different proposition. For his and our sake, I hope he rejects any advances!
  13. My Welsh speaking mother claims Tudur should be pronounced "Tee-Deer". I heard a few people pronounce it "Tudder" but if that was it it would be spelt Tydyr. It has crossed my mind though that he's gone by Tudur in order to avoid the brain explosions that would come with attempting to pronounce Tydyr!
  14. Class of 72, amo amas amat Caledonius Thistelaramius
  15. The £35k for Iain Stewart turned out to be a bargain for the club as he proved to be a very valuable player for us.
  16. Down at stadium to-day for Rod Stewart tickets, arrived about 8.00 seem to be first there. A lady got out of a car and said she had been there since 6.00 would we mind if she was first in line. No problem, just then the chairman arrived the lady in front knew him and asked if there was a chance of coffee he just laughed and went inside only to appear with pen and paper and said if the first 6 would like to place their order he would sort it, 10 mins later he appeared with a tray with our coffee on it. Where would that happen, makes you proud to be a supporter of the club its these thinks that make a huge difference. Thank you Kenny.
  17. Yeah, Tuffey got capped for Northern Ireland while with us. Davide Xausa also played for Canada - same era as Hastings, I think. Andrew Shinnie remains our only Scottish cap; with Marius Niculae being arguably our highest profile - featuring at the European Championships for Romania, while still on our books.
