Seems that United are going for Tommy Wright at this moment but I wonder if they can't snare him would they look again at Hughes? In the meantime why don't we offer the guy (and some of the players) contracts instead of running the risk of losing players and managers for buttons like we have done in the past.

You're worried about him leaving now? Makes a change from this!
  3. Wonder if their Championship highlights will magically cease as well....?

Any other club beware!! Inverness is a unique club that brings the best out of managers. But the facts are that when they move elsewhere they fail dismally. Steve Patterson to Aberdeen FAIL. John Robertson to Hearts FAIL. Craig Brewster to Dundee United FAIL. Terry Butcher to Hibs FAIL.
  5. They're getting their Highland clubs mixed up again..... Yogi staying at County

To be fair he looks like he was spot on about Lopez.
  7. Interesting reading, but it just goes to show that money is just a small part of what makes a successful club and it certainly does not always guarantee results. I enjoy the ' underdog' tag that is so often attached to ICT, and the players seem to relish proving the doubters wrong too.
  8. So how can Rangers be worth £31.5 million while hundreds of creditors have never been paid the millions they were owed earlier - unless this of course is some other Rangers that didn't win 54 league titles (is it 54?? - I don't actually care) in years gone by?
  9. Rangers to reclaim there place in the Scottish Premier?............................Didn't realise this Rangers had ever been there? ................Maybe this should be in the bad journalism thread!!

I suggest you set a great deal more store by what the chairman and manager say than what you read in these comics...
  11. Probably will get worse next season . Expect we will get less air time if the new rangers win promotion
  12. I don't have a problem with Championship highlights being included per se, but they shouldn't be made to look as if they're in the top flight (I must have missed Dumbarton's recent promotion!). Either show them at the end or not at all. On top of that, why are Rangers' games given special treatment? Every week their matches seem to get more coverage than everyone else, with the Hibs (and occasionally the Alba game) just given a quick run over. Watch out for it next week, the Rangers match gets the full nine yards while the other match (if they show them) is just the goals which gets talked over. The BBC is not a commercial broadcaster. They don't need to pander to anyone in order to get viewers or sponsorship. Rangers were quick to ban the BBC not so long ago, yet the BBC seem desperate to give them as much coverage as they can (notice they also seem desperate to broadcast every cup fixture they have as well). They're becoming more and more like a creepy stalker who's love letters continue to get ignored.
  13. Can anyone explain why the running order on Sportscene put the Championship games ahead of 3 Premiership games last night? I should no longer be surprised or irked by the constant pandering to the ugly sisters.....but I am!!! Nor should I still watch such a pants programme...and yet I continue to! Garbage.

    Any more word on this??
  15. Only putting 2 past Aberdeen doesn't look too clever either...

    He's going to Liverpool!
  17. Great result. Miles Storey was outstanding but what a team goal the first one was with Storey getting he finishing touch. Fon-Williams was in fine form after the break as County upped their levels, but we always looked interested when countering. Some great blocks and last ditch tackles and just when it looked as though County had blown over, they scored and we were back under the cosh. 2-1 it was though and a tremendous three points over County's best side for years. No flops today, they all did their jobs, Polworth and all who put in a thumping tackle seconds after receiving treatment. Respect dude. Great atmosphere in the away end and the home support were pretty much subdued after the quick one-two just before the break. Happy Bunny tonight

the sj chairmans statement is football speak for " if you want our manger it will be big bucks compo" if hughes is next on their list not a problem let him go. we were playing good footie up until end of january last season. won 4 games out of last 15. beating du twice, relegated st Mirren and Dundee. we were lucky du were in free fall and sj were too far behind to catch up for Europe through league place. this season we were crying out for a striker and hughes bought instead 6-7 midfielders,.... oops sorry he actually thought lopez was a striker. eventually the chairman took matters into his own hands and found miles storey according to hughes "Miles Storey is rapid quick," he said. "It's all credit to the chairman who came in with the name actually. hughes picked up his manager of the year, Europe and Scottish cup from a team built by butcher. if he does go we could try to get the new Liverpool manager jurgen klopp's brother........
