  1. Hi, I am contacting all the teams who will be visiting East End Park this season to advise we have a very good selection of past programmes between DAFC and CT. I would also like to inform you , that that there will be road works on the Halbeath Road on the way along to the Pars Stadium on the night of our fixture with you, Tuesday 26th July and I would advise you guys to leave a bit earlier than planned if you want down for the KO. The road works will be operational from 9am to 9pm, therefore the main problem will be on arrival for the match. I run the DASC Donation Shop /Tea Room/ Supporters Hub at EEP, and we will have Filled Rolls, sandwiches, teas, coffees. hot chocolate, and soft drinks. The usual bars , Legends and Charlie D'S will be open for alcoholic drinks.
  2. Having lived near Tynecastle for years I've seen a fair bit of Billy King. A very good player in my eyes. The Hearts fans were disappointing when he was loaned to Rangers as he was doing well in the first team. He has the ability to go past players but needs to add some end product to his game, something that he'll hopefully do with us. So far Foran has made some really promising signings, it would be nice to add another striker and possibly another defender as back up, but we're not far away.

Can't let Murray's fantastic performance today, and in fact over the past month, go by without a mention. He was almost flawless today. On grass, especially when he serves well, as he did today, he must be the best in the world. Wouldn't be surprised to see him overhaul Djokovic by this time next year as number one in the world rankings. Well done Andy.
  4. There are more things than just previews or reports .... if anyone wants to contribute in terms of basic news articles about whats going on, OP-ed pieces, anything really ... then get in touch. Whether its "real" news like signings, injuries, etc, stats and facts, or some other 'fluff' its all good ..... CTO does have official access to the pre-match press conferences and photocalls, and a pretty good relationship with the club for other stuff that we might dream up, so any aspiring journalists on the site who want to contribute while they learn, or maybe find a route to helping the club officially as part of their editorial team could do worse than pen a few articles for us on the way ...... also, I know we do have a few aspiring and established photographers on the site .... we would really like to make use of the galleries a bit more so if you are interested, lets talk about what we can do. There are also blogs available for users who want to publish their own opinions on a regular basis. We can link it to an external blog or you can write it right here on the site .... again, lets talk if interested. We really would like to up the content on here this year by getting those who are interested more involved and giving them more latitude to publish and post their content ... ' just to add - for much of this it would be a case of self-publishing not passing it through TM4TJ. He has his hands full, and does a tremendous job almost single-handed of organising the previews, reports and other stuff and co-ordinating who is writing them etc.
  5. Lets make it simple and call ourselves Caley.
  6. CTO's version of Chris Kamara is prepared.
  7. Happy to help
  8. I have no problem with social media abreviations because the name is so long. However, there was absolutely no need to change our identity on our badge.
  9. I see that awful crest/badge has appeared again!
  10. Really dont find the idea of king billy or any of the other glasgow crap funny. One of the reasons i support caley thistle is to get away from that rubbish and enjoy songs about bridges and castles.

I could not agree more caleyboy. As an image for marketing, social media, etc. the new text is fine, positive even, as it merges the ICTFC brand identity to the official imagery. However, as an official crest for the club it has been ill thought out, cheapened by using the abbreviation and by adding a throwaway tag line to the banners. The 'Pride of the Highlands' slogan is cringeworthy enough but to include it on official club imagery is arguably disrespectful to other clubs in the region, not to mention appearing arrogant. Neither attributes that I would have associated with ICT before. I really hope this is just a mistake that can be rectified quickly (and a refund sought from whoever provided the advice!!) and the old, credible, badge reinstated ASAP.

To be fair over the years we have been known As ICTFC a lot and it works. We obviously are still Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club, this is a shortened version. We are also the pride of the highlands. i like it and in this day and age of social media people will know who we are seeing as our official Twitter with nearly 19k followers is @ICTFC

I hope I am not alone here but I don't think we have had a satisfactory answer to the issue regarding our official club badge/crest. I see from the caption of our 2 new signings that the "new" format is displayed and I personally feel this cheapens the image of our club. Again, we are NOT ICTFC, we are Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC!
