  1. Overall a good performance, I thought Aberdeen created a bit more in the final third and had a few really good chances but our defence held strong and are starting to look a lot more composed unit, MacKay at RB is an improvement on Horner and the faltering Raven, he could make that his permanent position going forwards. Another great Draper performance today and a fantastic finish from Vigurs, although I do still feel he is slow at build up play and often stops the game too dead and brings pace out of our attacks at times. Good to see Doran come on and he certainly showed some good touches. Definately signs of improvement although Celtic may be a much stronger test that the Dons, where the strength and ariel ability of Doumbaye may edge it over Fisher but today both played well. Sad to see the antics of the younger fans or 'singing section' today, abuse shouted about Shinnie and cheering his injury, arguing with stewards then on leaving the stadium throwing metal secuirty barriers and signs about, then shouting abuse at Aberdeen fans (including those with children) on the walk back into town. When I approached one of them regarding throwing barriers around suggesting its not a good image for our club I was told 'we dont care'. Well I do, this club has worked hard and I believe have a good relationship with all rival fans therefore dont want this to start being affected by the minority or having fans put off attending away games. While some may say its only barriers and signs or just fun, I see it as a lack of respect of others property and surroundings, so after issues with behaviour at the St J game and now this, its maybe time to reign the behaviour back in as its not welcome.
  2. What was the score again Joe?
  3. During a match most Invernessians sit on their suites in their lounge watching the Old Firm.
  4. Pretty sure I said within the part of my post that you quoted that it was something that was being addressed. Fatalism would be doing nothing!! What I should have maybe been clearer on was that it related to only one of the 5 or 6 matchday hospitality options....so we're not talking about zero hospitality. Your the first person I've seen mention that there's a perception of considerable lack of demand for hospitality at TCS....maybe you should book in for a game at some point and check it out for yourself?
  5. Bit OTT from stewards considering the crowd control issue only consisted of 20 exuberant youths immediately after ICT equalised! Hate to think what they need to do with 2000 Glasgow fans. Shame for that to tarnish a good team performance, don't want to be negative towards any player, but yes Doran was a breath of fresh air when he came on and Brad Mackay had an impressive enough debut at right back. Aberdeen were there to be beaten today, their fans must have been disappointed. Rooney was invisible probably thanks to Warren/Meekings
  6. Disgraceful from Aberdeen stewards coming into the stands and chucking people out for no apparent reason and full on taking someone out and not even helping them back onto their feet
  7. Also in Highland League Adam MacLeod (Nairn 0 - Strathspey Thistle 2)
  8. I'll take that. Good away point. Looking forward to seeing posts from those at the game to see how everyone played.
  9. Whilst we generally look to win games against bottom 6 sides, we can consider this to be an excellent point! Well done guys.
  10. Goal for Abderdeen 1 - 0
  11. Nevermind the hospitality. Get McDougall and Hastie doing pies and get some terracing on the go in the 'West Stand'.
  12. you ask for constructive feedback and of course the 'usual suspects' red dot your post. Thanks Dougal.
  13. Whenever I see a footballer covered in tattoos I think there is someone who neither values his time nor money, same goes for the addictions mentioned above. Top footballers live in a gilded cage and I was pleased to see Matta of Man Utd speak out recently on that very subject saying that they did not live in the real world. Whilst having sympathy for anyone who is ill, mentally or otherwise, the people living under real pressure are those single parents who through death, divorce or illness find themselves having to bring up a young family whilst holding down a job to put food on the table, the majority just don't have the money or time to indulge in addictions. Perhaps those self centred, self loving footballers could contribute their tattoo money to these heroes for whom each day is a struggle. If you think I'm being harsh on footballers how many contributed to the " Thank you Jean Marc Bosman" fund after his trade union wrote to the players of the top 400 clubs asking them to donate their bonus money from ONE match, which was going to be used to help young footballers who failed to make the grade and ended up on the street. Answers on a very small postcard.
  14. Fraser 54 I can assure you that I am educated and I did not say that mental health issues only affect poor people, but the poor people with no resources are cast aside while footballers are lauded by society and blessed with wealth, good nutrition , support systems, medical care, first class travel, accommodation etc etc.they live in a gilded cage. I have nothing against our manager supporting player's mental health but bear in mind they are a tiny minority compared to the thousands struggling daily with life itself, unheralded, ignored, even despised. If you have any humanity, can you not understand the point I am making or do you only care about those who live a life of privilege and wealth? I have picked on football players because they have shown themselves to be narcissists, self centred, greedy (anyone remember the van hooidonk quote after being offered £7,000 a week in 1996?) let me remind you, "It may be good enough for the homeless, but not for an international striker" there's the arrogance of someone who has lost all touch with reality and as I've pointed out on this blog these heroes were unwilling even to help their fellow pro who gained them the riches they enjoy today, so go ahead and weep for the pro footballers and I will do the same for the vast army of ordinary Joes.
  15. I dont really care what option we end up with. I also don't mind if user's see if i red or green dotted them amd if asked would gladly explain why. I dish out more green than reds anyway. Unless its dougall. I always red dot that guy. Saves me from dishing out personal abuse to the guy and gettin banned of here altogether
