If Ross is really an ardent fan of ICT I expect to see him at the Cove Rangers game setting off smoke bombs when our 5th goal goes in.
  5. This is just a very quick note to say that the new board of Caley Jags Together met for the first time last night (Tuesday) to appoint office bearers and take care of one or two bits of immediate business. Office Bearers are as follows.... Chairman : Don Johnstone (CaleyD) Vice Chairman : Peter Mutton (Doofers Dad) Secretary : Jen Aitchison (Jenaitchie) Treasurer : Kath Fraser (Ladyf) Other board members... Laura Grant (L_G) Ewan MacRae (Glover) Stewart Murdoch (MainStandJaggy) The following persons have accepted co-opted positions on the board... Lynne Macdonald (Old Caley Girl) Jen Aitchison (Jenaitchie) One of the items towards the top of our agenda is improved communication and we are looking at how best we do that in terms of website, social media (including CaleyThistleOnline.com), email, snail mail (where necessary) etc. If anyone has any questions or queries in the interim, please feel free to drop us an email : [email protected] or reply below. If you are speaking to any other fans/members who feel they should be receiving communications from Caley Jags Together, but are not, then please pass them the email address above and ask that they get in touch so we can check the contact details we have on record. As an organisation, Caley Jags Together has it's work cut out to regain the confidence of it's members and the wider ICTFC Community. The first steps have been taken to point things back in the right direction and we will be working hard in the coming months so that we can present a very different picture at our AGM which will be held towards the end of 2018. We will be sending out a communication with more detailed information on your new board, membership renewals and dates for the AGM in the next couple of weeks.
  6. A 2-2 draw at Rothes and 4-2 win at Forres tonight. Jordan Whyte scored a hat trick at Forres.
  7. Scott Kellagher has had more promotions than Elgin City in their entire history.
  8. Again this all comes down to poor communication from the club which was promised last year. Why can't they get the basics right?
  9. Why would a relatively disinterested fan base want to help the Board at all? It does sound as if additional entertainment could be introduced, at least for the kids,, at half time to entertain the families in the area. Haven't got a clue myself, but what about a slide for the kids --they climb up a small flight of stairs and slide down. Where would they put it, or them? If it is sectional what about right in front of the stadium at half time together with a wee fence between it and the road for the safety of the kids from the traffic. Daft? Why? Has anyone EVER tried it? this Board MUST think of something, or somethings, original and show the Inverness public that they are really interested in the customers' experience(s). The product on display is currently insufficient to induce a full house so add to the fare on offer I say. If the great unwashed public don't want to come to see the football then it's either the prices are too high, or the overall entertainment value for them is not worth the effort. Their family is very important to the fans and attempting to provide something different and special for the weans seems to me to be a no- brainer. How about a wee race round the pitch for different ages for the kids with a decent prize at the end of it for the winner of each race. That will bring in the future fans with the possibility that the dads and mums will be impressed by the atmosphere and get quite a kick out of the whole affair. PLUS the winning kids might like to get involved with the team and turn into great future prospects. Why not?--- You just cannot pooh, pooh, anything until you try ! Jeez! The club has to do SOMETHING to stir the interest in the town and if they don't show, at the very least, some enthusiasm and gumption with ideas that they are willing to try out to entertain and attract the public then what do you all think yourself ? If the ideas can flow on here then present them to the Management of the club and offer to assist them in bringing it all together. ANYTHING, ladies and gentlemen is far better than doing NOTHING! Positive comments welcome.... .
  10. But were they all at the 1-O game at Dumfermline ? Are they Ardent ? Jhesus have the Board made ANOTHER good decision ??
  11. Plenty street parking round about.
  12. Club shop and Golden Ticket are initiatives aimed at season ticket holders with kids who will probably be the most valuable spenders. The club is somewhat hampered by the Scottish alcohol laws at stadiums, the distance and the lack of public transport route and indeed, a route. But at a small club it is possible to have 'hospitality-lite' where a second sports bar 'corporate area' could be possible. There does need to be a rethink/dynamism about getting more people in, for longer and spending more as a result of having a thoroughly good time.
  13. Only the hardy few who made it to Keith on Saturday can honestly claim to be "ardent". Everyone else is just playing at it. #ictelite #almondmagnumcrew #kynochparkhardcore #fortgeorgelightweights
  14. Don't spoil it for the mob!
  15. I dont know Ross personally but hearing good things about him. He is a supporter of the club and also a member of the community charity board. I actually think this is a positive appointment personally.
  16. According to sources it's at Ft George fields. Therefore it's a kick about at a flat park. Maybe some enterprising dude will take a burger van along.
  17. Constructive criticism welcome (and encouraged, IMO). It will take us a couple of weeks to get a handle on where everything is at, deal with the year end (which is end of this month...big thanks to Kath who is on top of that), sort the membership records and put new systems in place for administering those records and managing renewals and new applications going forward. A communication is being prepared that will provide a bit of insight into who the board are and what they each bring to the table for the benefit of the ICT Supporters Trust. I am, personally, encouraged by the energy and attitude being shown by a group who are determined to have the society knocked into shape and well and truly set back on the right track and in the right direction so we can present something everyone can be proud of at the AGM in December.
