  1. Caley need to get the proper young fans interested then the dads will follow read a few years ago how St Mirren were giving packs with club motif bibs etc to newborns in the hospital amongst other projects i.e. Free tickets to schoolies with accompanying adult gotta think cradle to grave supporters ! Make the match day more razzmatazz like an American team cheerleaders ball boys waving club flags!
  2. This is just a very quick note to say that the new board of Caley Jags Together met for the first time last night (Tuesday) to appoint office bearers and take care of one or two bits of immediate business. Office Bearers are as follows.... Chairman : Don Johnstone (CaleyD) Vice Chairman : Peter Mutton (Doofers Dad) Secretary : Jen Aitchison (Jenaitchie) Treasurer : Kath Fraser (Ladyf) Other board members... Laura Grant (L_G) Ewan MacRae (Glover) Stewart Murdoch (MainStandJaggy) The following persons have accepted co-opted positions on the board... Lynne Macdonald (Old Caley Girl) Jen Aitchison (Jenaitchie) One of the items towards the top of our agenda is improved communication and we are looking at how best we do that in terms of website, social media (including CaleyThistleOnline.com), email, snail mail (where necessary) etc. If anyone has any questions or queries in the interim, please feel free to drop us an email : [email protected] or reply below. If you are speaking to any other fans/members who feel they should be receiving communications from Caley Jags Together, but are not, then please pass them the email address above and ask that they get in touch so we can check the contact details we have on record. As an organisation, Caley Jags Together has it's work cut out to regain the confidence of it's members and the wider ICTFC Community. The first steps have been taken to point things back in the right direction and we will be working hard in the coming months so that we can present a very different picture at our AGM which will be held towards the end of 2018. We will be sending out a communication with more detailed information on your new board, membership renewals and dates for the AGM in the next couple of weeks.
  3. I think this would get everyone going personally
  4. Maybe he meant former players Wilson, Esson and Tokely...
  5. I went to the Rothes game. Decent Caley performance, given it’s the second preseason game, against a pretty strong Rothes team. Rothes still had players on holiday, so only two on their bench and Daniel Hoban played in goal for Rothes. Carl Trenarco was good, and George Oakley put in a good shift. Aaron Doran was in the game quite a bit, and Daniel MacKay was full of running. Several familiar faces in the Rothes’ ranks: Jamie Duff at CB, recent Caley U20’s Ally Stark playing centre mid, and Jamie Wilson also played the whole game for Rothes. A passing team - they never panicked, very few long balls other than some long diagonal passes that gave the Caley defence some trouble. Rothes could have won it at the end - the impressive Rothes forward beat the full back, rounded Cammy MacKay - and missed an open goal. Good trip, good evening, donations rather than a set entrance fee, and a warm welcome - including from the midgies. I love pre-season. Everything is still possible.
  6. No Kingsmills, your right they aren't BUT when someone is slagging off one of our Coach's for nothing to do with his coaching ability then surely i have the right to tell him he is a tit? Or should we just all shut up and allow Alan to say as he likes and say nothing?
  7. Then you know what to do. Nobody is obliging you to post.
  8. MORE WINS THAN LOSSES !
  9. Some mod with editing skills might want to move the discussion developing here regarding crowd figures to it's own thread, in the meantime here are my 2 cents. 80% of fans attending games couldn't name anyone on the board, and couldn't care less about social media or engagement. They just care about what's going on on the pitch. It's just the hardcore fans who have strong views on this stuff IMO. The biggest obstacles preventing Inverness from attracting higher crowds are: 1) The stadium. It's location is picturesque, the architects blueprints looked spectacular, and at the time of it's construction - the area was hyped for future 'high value' developments taking place around it. In reality, it was a total white elephant. Situated on the outskirts of an industrial estate, miles away from residential areas, a 'community hub' it ain't. The facilities in the stadium put most local community centres to shame, but are barely used outside match days - being, as they are, in the middle of nowhere. This is the primary source of lack of 'engagement' with the community IMO. Were TCS located at Telford Street or Kingsmills Park (both disadvantageous for different reasons), I imagine it would be a very different story. 2) Ticket prices. Attending Caley and Thistle games in the 90s was easily affordable for your average working class family. Today it's simply unaffordable for those on lower wages. This might be pie in the sky, but some kind of socialist system for season tickets (take ID and your P60 to the ticket office to prove your wage) might help in this regard, and get the club some positive publicity. To summarize the solutions are: Accessability - A stadium situated within the community, with facilities available, open and easy to book for the community. Affordability - A price structure that allows individuals and families of all income levels to attend matches. You're welcome!
  10. Perhaps this needs a response "Thank you" and "Good Luck". Also puts pressure on the Internet whingers to do something constructive if they have a constructive criticism.
  11. So yet another pre-season playing against pure diddies and therefore not preparing sufficiently enough for the season ahead I’m not saying we should have glamour friendlies but a little imagination from those that claim to be the guardians of this club is needed We deserve better Dougal
  12. Our Ross County supporting CEO is only replicating what happens in Dungwall.
  13. Oh no iv been red dotted for slagging of big Scott hope he ain't on this I'll be getting the treatment he should've gave Polly!
