  1. ......................time to move on and forget the past by treating Alloa as if we were playing Celtic or Rangers - this is a big game for us needing a united front...and one where we do not underestimate the opposition...like we did against Dunfermline's reserves.
  2. Thanks for posting this. Fascinating to hear about the Butcher years from the inside, the dressing room chats, Draper's first appearance, Steve Marcella and the Christmas party. Makes me very nostalgic about the glory years and the squad we had then. Two good guys.
  3. Did you climb under that rock at the beginning of the season after when our decline began and JH could do nothing to arrest it and recruited dud after dud despite having the highest budget in our history at his disposal?
  4. Raith were doomed before JH joined them I think he only had about 10 games to turn things around, everyone bangs about Raith but it hardly compares to a squad that you have worked with and built. The grave mistake as you put it was appointing Foran who had never managed at ANY level. JH even said after he left that RF was "no coach" and he was proved right in that in spades. If you can't see the difference between the football played under Hughes with the football played under Butcher then I can't help you.
  5. Just wondering why you think he wouldn't have gotten us relegated?
  6. Unbelievable, did you live under a rock the year we won the SC and had our highest ever league finish? JH will go down as our greatest ever manager and rightly so, were you by any chance one of the agitators for Foran to take over?
  7. I waited weeks for Man City docu 'All or Nothing' on Amazon Prime today - and this is better! Lots of behind the scenes stuff and life in Inverness. Great find!
  8. John Hughes oversaw the start of our demise and complained very publicly about his player budget which was the highest in our history and about three times what we have available now. He could not save Raith Rovers from relegation from the Championship and, in the process caused huge dressing room unrest and division. He is certainly not the man to lead us to promotion now. We are two games in to the league season. We are unbeaten and yet to concede a league goal. Why not just get behind the manager, coaches and players and support the team.
  9. Poor start to the season by any1s standards out of 2 cups already love a wee cup run! SOS for the only man who can save us the legend that is yogi Hughes least he had a philosophy albeit boring to watch at times was thinking a statue of the big man is something we should look into!
  10. Ffs even I'm not that bored of a Friday night would rather gargle horse urine than listen to that pair rabbiting on
