  1. Sponsored by the Granville, Toich and William Bell Research Society (GTWB) The aim of the study is to record the apathy levels amongst supporters of Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club over the period between Saturday 18th February to Monday 13th March. The participants of the study will be the willing supporters of the ICT Online Forum. The aim is to produce a report which demonstrates any changes in the mood of the support, particularly in regard to the levels of apathy. The levels should be based on the level of anticipation that the club has the capability of automatic promotion, ability to reach a play off place and taking into account the overall performance of the team i(inclusive of tactics) in each game during the stated collection period. Following every game participants will be asked to score their levels of apathy following the game, utilising the following scoring criteria - and providing explanations in regard to the reasoning behind their scoring. 1 - Totally devoid of any glimmer of hope. 2 = Just about ready to throw the towel in. 3- Beginning to see a shimmer of light but not overly hopeful that the light will develop. 4- Things are looking slightly better but not exactly giving me too high a level of anticipation. 5 - Signs that things are beginning to improve and an increased confidence that it could be maintained. 6 - We appear to be going in the right direction and the continuing improvement gives definite hope for the future. 7 - We are maintaining the levels of commitment and change of approach which eminated from Livingston and things are looking a lot brighter. 8 - If we go on like this we could make the play offs comfortably 9 - If we go on like this we could make the play offs and reach second place. 10 - If we go on like this we could win the Cup again and make automatic promotion. PLEASE ADVISE OF YOUR APATHY LEVEL PRIOR TO THE LIVI GAME AND AT THE PRESENT TIME PRIOR TO THE HAMILTON HOME TIE TO ESTABLISH A BASELINE Thanks to Smirnoff and Coke for their support throughout the Research Process.

  2. I am probably the most optimistic person on this whole forum lol just behind you IHE, I'm so glad your back posting as I really enjoy your banter/craic etc Before Livi I was a 4 and that's based on our inconsistentcy. Now I am a 7 and that is based on excellent we were on Saturday so I am a bit more optimistic that we can maintain our push for the play offs and at a push automatic promotion. Hope that satisfies you IHE :D.

  4. I wouldn’t consider myself apathetic about the club at any time. I’ve been frustrated this season by our inconsistency, which has made it a stop start season, and some of our tactics when we have not played to our strengths (indeed, sometimes we seemed always to play to our weaknesses). Hopefully Saturday marked the start of a good run in, but we will know soon enough! Hamilton have normally had the better of us recently, and they are on a decent run, so we need to have the same attitude and performance level in the forthcoming games against them as we had at Livingston.

  5. An absolutely brilliant performance from the team and great tactics from Dodds. We pressed Livi in the right areas, played deepwhen we needed to and let them play in front of us. Didn't create much in the first half but showed some fantastic direct counter attacking for the first and second goals and then pressed the ball, won possession and scored the third at the death. Defensively we were solid - Devine probably the best of the back four but Carson was good as well. Welsh and Allardice worked really hard in the middle and didn't let Livi get a grip of the game at all. Henderson's pass for the first was a great ball, very clever early hit to outdo the Livi defence. I thought Danny MacKay was off it a bit but never hid and worked hard. Shaw was our best non-Billy Mckay player, he played more centrally and used the ball well, caused problems with movement and workrate and bagged two assists - the cross for Welsh's header was pinpoint. Billy was probably our man of the match though, two outstandign finishes for the goals and hard work, classy touches and great movement throughout.

  6. To be fair I have not suffered the depth of anger and frustration borne by others who have been regular attenders at games and spending a lot more spondoolicks. I was at both the Maryhill disasters and Morton the previous week and the damage was all but evident. Livi was literally akin to waking up from a lengthy deep depression and being catapulted into delirium and mania. Lets hope this was'nt a brief psychotic episode and we can all return to a normal mood cycle.

  7. It’s been really refreshing to see your many recent posts. We all need a positivity injection after all the doom and gloom of recent weeks and the Livi result was the first one and hopefully the team kicks on from that.

  8. And Kai Kennedy. He doesn’t seem to have fulfilled the promise he had in his few months with us.

  9. I feel that the onus is now on Dodds & Co to maintain a level of improvement in the coming weeks. Where Saturdays performance came from is puzzling but the effort, the togetherness and most importantly the tactics were spot on. The togetherness was simply oozing at the end of the game and a surprising, albeit not generalised, chant of praise and support for Dodds. Even he appeared taken aback given his reaction post match. It felt like we had moved into a parallel universe. But now is the time to consolidate. I for one would say that a play off place and a Hampden outing would be a remarkable achievement given what kind of season it has been. And there are plenty of excuses that could be used and we do appear to be moving towards the strongest squad position of the season. To me the main concern was the apparent lack of desire and a feeling that Dodds had lost the dressing room. Nobody could make that comments about Saturday. I am further encouraged by some background whispers that some ultimatums have been made and there is a wind of positive change blowing over the Dump. I am sure that many will scoff and the proof is in the pudding. I renamed my post match libation as a Doddsie some time ago and last Saturday I raised a glass with that name and hope that I will repeat the tribute on a few more occasions this season. Here is a good luck slainthe

  11. Thanks. Just watched it again. I went by the position the ball was played from rather then the player!! Lesson to self: pay more attention!
