  1. Good to get a win. Results elsewhere show how easy it is for the bigger clubs to slip up against lower league opposition. Two very well taken goals from Doran, and I got from the car to the stadium and back without getting wet. Otherwise, very little to get excited about.

  2. The first ever meeting between The Caley Jags and the Rose was played out during a thunderstorm. Torrential rain of biblical proportions fell half an hour before kick-off and that dampened the grass somewhat. Inverness were quick off the mark and opened the scoring after four minutes when Aaron Doran took advantage of a defensive error to score from ten yards. No pun intended, but the floodgates never opened as Inverness made heavy weather of the next thirty-five minutes before Doran curled in his second of the game from just outside the box. What a beauty! HALF TIME 2-0

  4. That away kit is a disgrace, wonder how they come up with that colour scheme?

  5. The orange and red kit is like no other, but I find it strangely appealing. Not liking the design on the goalie shirt, but always a fan of a green grass colour strip , as it makes our goalie stand out less to any opponents who may have glimpsed them out of the corner of their eye.

  6. Feedback so far from the young 'uns is that is going to sell fast. Any old firm connotations are irrelevant, they seem to like the colour and design (apparently it is a good combo), unlike the silvertops and fuddy duddies.

  7. Prefer the V neck myself. Find it very hard and uncomfortable to wear the round neck shirts and tend to stick to polo tops these days. Can see myself getting one of these I think.

  8. According to this information from CaleyD then, unless anything has changed, the Supporters Trust have the second largest voting right.

  9. When was the last preseason where we actually had 2 full eleven aside teams....this feels like a lot better depth than previous years.

  10. Hold on, let’s remember that the Club gave both players a years extension to their contracts, when the likelihood was they might not get back on the pitch in that season, that is hardly being unfair, given that iCT arent a rich club. Obviously what we don’t know is the extent that either the Club or the players carry some sort of ‘medicare’ insurance cover for injuries and operations that are almost certainly going to be via private healthcare. I would imagine given the lower end of the pay scale that anyone playing in the Championship is on, a player relies heavily on the help the PFA can provide, who as the Player Union seem to provid little support on contracts [maybe non- payment and disputes but not negoiations], so it is good if the pFA have been able to help Walsh I get the comment on the club’s communications skills…. A simple statement in good time addressing the contract situations of both players might have quelled some of the disquiet amongst some fans. It shouldn’t be difficult, and Gardiner has been adept at putting out long statements from time to time Meanwhile, I’m delighted to see the signing of Adam Brook who sounds a promising addition, and without the injury history that is attached to many of our players

  11. I should also mention that Doran had a good game. He was positive and seemed more confident in his pace, taking defenders on a couple of times whilst his lob was a cool finish.

  12. Enjoyable enough afternoon. After the flurry of early goals, the game settled down to really be a training session for us after the first half water break. Doran opened the scoring with a long distance lob over the goalie before Cameron equalised. It all stemmed from a slack pass back by Devine which went for a corner. Samuels restored the lead after a nice move and made it comfortable before the break after another good spell of fast play. In the second half we started positively with some eager play by the youngsters. Mckay got the fourth after more decent build up play. Our trialist was a big forward who was more than a match for Draper physically and had a goal disallowed for offside. He was working hard and seemed quite pacy but it is hard to tell if he is what we need. In the first half, Gilmour and Thomson were the picks for me, plus Samuels for his goals. Davidson was steady whilst Brooks was not in the squad. After the break, Nicolson, Cairns, Strachan and Bray all looked comfortable. MacGregor’s movement and work rate were very good. For their first outing, albeit against a poor Elgin team, it was encouraging. The crowd was announced as 1040 which was very credible. Draper hasn’t changed. He had some meaty challenges which would have attracted cards in a competitive match! That said, he still looks a decent player.

  13. The winner was Sibbick for Hearts v Hibs. Nice enough finish but a pretty standard standard breakaway goal really.

  15. It might look better 'in the flesh' but, no, I don't like it. Judging by the expressions on the players faces that don't care much for it either

  16. I really think the club need to explain the thought behind the launch date and colour. Who had the final say on the strip? Was it Gardiner? Does the club want to be the wee rangers? Orange and red don't go together either, whoever thought that knows nothing about design.

  17. I wholeheartedly agree. An orange kit on the 12th July, and some in our hierarchy having certain allegiances to certain clubs! you couldn't make it up.

  18. Was it a conscious decision by the club to release such a kit on such a date? Really have no time for this kind of sectarian nonsense, personally!

  19. So did the club extend the loyalty price until the 12th !? sake!
