  1. I was at the point of accepting the club was all but gone almost a year ago when all the Kelty stuff was going on and I'm starting to get to that point again. Talks from Savage doing this to give back to the city have turned into demands for total control and being answerable to nobody. It was people who believed they should be answerable to nobody that got us into this mess.

  2. We stopped in Stonehaven for a drink with friends after the game. Got into the company of a couple of Cove fans and it turned into a bit of a session and we ended up kipping at their house. They treated us to an amazing fry up before we got on our way today. In an age where football rivalry can be painted as all bad this was a refreshing experience.

  3. I've said before that it's not the criticism that rankles me it's the snide and unmerited manner of some of the comments. Just because someone might be thick skinned doesn't mean it should be acceptable. I understand that as the clubs all time top goal scorer the expectation for many people is that he should still be seen as the main goal threat but the fact that he's seldom been deployed in that position this season shows that is not seen as the case either by himself or the manager. I think that had the club not been in the position it was at the start of this season then he'd have hung his boots up or gone to play at a lower level or even moved fully into coaching somewhere. I don't see this as a situation of a player not knowing when it's time to step back. This is a guy who's hung around to do what he can to help a club he clearly holds dearly in their time of need. I'm not saying he should be immune from criticism but I do think he deserves a little more respect than some of the dickish throw away comments show. That's on here and elsewhere.

  4. I'm just happy that most people spell his name right, with a small 'k'.

  5. I kind of like the simplicity of this. Unfortunately, can't see it happening as it could spiral into complication quite easily .... Would whoever bails us out accept that they are bailing out 100% of the club and only getting 49% in return? The 'sponsor' would then need to be quite considerable if we place the same sort of value on their 49% compared to what the investor(s) paid or continue to pay. Can we attract that level of sponsorship on a yearly basis? or is it the case that the sponsorship voting rights would become further fragmented if we have two or more 'major' sponsors? I guess that could be doable given that the overall total would be 49%. Finally, would a sponsor or major investor try to influence the remaining 2% in some way, so they are guaranteed 51%? As simple as the suggestion is, and I do still like the idea of simple, I can see too many pitfalls

  6. I hear what you’re saying STFU, however I can only go on what I read on this forum#. So as such any BM comment on the Cove match topic I see here is fair game / fan contribution. For me BM still can offer his experience to help the team, however he is and has been our striker for the past handful of years. He knows his goals / match return ratio has just about disappeared. QoTS his last open play goal I seen was some 6 months ago. Criticism goes hand in hand with being the teams main striker and Billy is ugly enough to shrug it of. He also knows it’s the end of the road when this season ends. I’ve only a couple of chances left to see him this season. It would be nice to see him sign off his football career with a goal from open play. I’m sure all his critics (me included) will cheer the roof off. bc # Never have and don’t have any desire to do the web outlets.

  7. That's not at all what was said or how they said it but great effort at spinning it.

  8. It's not disrepect i'm afraid, It is a fact, Yngwie was pointing out his goalscoring mojo has left the building, but as a link player he has with his experience he has still a lot to offer to the team!

  9. And in one match Bray scored more than Billy has in 39 games this season!

  10. February and March Update. Only 3 games during February with 1 called off. Two home wins against Queen of the South and Kelty Hearts and a bad loss away to Arbroath. The Player of the Month for February is Luis Longstaff second equal Alfie Bavidge and Charlie Gilmour. A mixed month in March with 6 games a home draw against Montrose, away win at Dumbarton, a fantastic home win against Stenhousemuir, loss at home to Annan, a home draw against Alloa and a bad loss away to Queen of the South. The Player of the Month for March is Keith Bray second Ben Brannan and third Adam MacKinnon. Luis Longstaff still leading in the Player of the Year but he will not play again this season so it will give others the chance to catch up as it is still close. 1. Luis Longstaff. 2. Keith Bray. 3. Adam Mackinnon. 4. Musa Debaga. 5. Charlie Gilmour. 6. Remi Savage. With four games this month before our last one in May I will tally up the totals after the last game so please keep your votes coming in, thank you.

  11. This thread really demonstrates why I’d never have been any good in the business world - can’t get halfway through reading a post before I descend into a Homer Simpsonesque donut moment…

  13. The disrespect for Billy Mckay from some is disgusting or is this what is suppose to pass as football banter these days?

    • Inverness CT 0-2 Kelty Hearts - League 1
FULL TIME 0-2: After last weeks win at Cove, this was a massive disappointment. The only thing in our favour was that Annan lost as well and they remain three points behind us. It's the Caley Thistle Way; one step forward and two steps backward. Another difficult game next week away to Stenhousemuir.

    • Cove Rangers 0-3 Inverness CT - League 1
A Keith Bray hat-trick secured all three points at Cove as the Caley Jags survival bid was revived. Alfie Stewart was instrumental with all three assists and a clean sheet at the back was welcomed with Remi Savage returning in defence...

    • Cove Rangers -V- Inverness CT - League1
Cove Crunch Encounter: We will be without Luis Longstaff, Alfie Bavidge and the rest of our longer term casualties for the run-in. Paul Hartley's Cove will be without the suspended Mitch Megginson. Declan Glass and Arron Darge are facing a fitness battle.

    • Queen of the South 4-1 Inverness CT - League 1
Jack Hannah scored his first goal for Queen of the South after Alfie Stewart had opened the scoring for the visitors. Queens eventually routed the Caley Jags 4-1 with further goals from Jordan Allan and a brace from Admin Books. He really has it in for us and was a pain in the rain.
