  1. Well, that was a lot better, easily the best performance out of the recent 4 games shown on Alba over the last few weeks. As long as we can keep up that level of effort and skill, and don't get complacent in the next 3 games, the league title should be ours. Well done to all concerned. I am now looking forward, once again, to the last home game v Hamilton when six of us from the Reading area will be there shouting the team on. Hope to meet some of the regular contributors to this site that day.
  2. So we shouldn't be complacent then, and hopefully we wont be 🤞
  3. The takeaway for me from this game and the Stenny game was a much more direct approach to attack which put the defences in both games under a lot of pressure, we were still patient, but launched forward better...we take this approach against Kelty and we should get a better result against them than the previous two games
  4. I thought Mark Reynolds made some good observations on Alba. Two that stood out for me were that he praised Devine for his leadership and calmness, and also Zimba for often capturing the ball when it was played up to him, being a menace and, as a result, creating space for others. Good to see often unseen efforts getting credit.
  5. Home and happy! On the whole a comfortable win and unlucky not to have won by a bigger margin. Alonge's run and shot that hit the post from almost nothing deserved a goal, he obviously thought he was Ryan Giggs for a second and Robertson was very unlucky hitting the bar. Bavidge and especially Stewart were standouts for me though. Let's not get too carried away though, Peterhead were poor and never really ever threatened and we looked comfortable but it throws down a marker and puts us where we want to be while keeping confidence high. Great away support and fantastic reception at full time as well. On a side note, I, too, have criticism of the referee, especially the first half and on any other given day, some decisions may have cost us and we're talking basic ones. However, I won't dwell on that.
  6. I think East Fife away is the pick out match that will decide if we win the league or not. Old dastardly Dick Campbell will be keen to throw a spanner in the ICT works if he can. Three defeats to the league favourites ICT this season is a thorn in his side and put a dent in his self promoted worldly reputation as a Scottish football Guru. Come away with three points from Methil on 25th April and the league is secured of ICT as champions. bc
  7. If you believe in Football Karma..and I do; Hamilton relegated us in 2024, so we should be going all out to exact revenge
  8. Pretty good... at least two traps for Stenny; Cove away and Alloa at home. Either could end up as draws I feel Scott has tweaked our approach, we have a settled & solid defence, a preferred midfield [with good sub options] and a preferred attacked with plan B options. So not nails, but fingers crossed that when I am up for East Fife the 'finishing tape' will be in sight
  9. A well deserved win after coming out of the traps both halves with intent. I don't know what was said it HT but by god it had the desired affect as we created numerous chances, how some of them stayed out I don't know 😱. At one point I was agreeing with Mark Reynolds when he was saying that it maybe just wasn't going to be out day in terms of getting that second goal, we couldn't do anything more as Mark said. I was actually thinking to myself just after the first goal, "some decisions go your way" and that certainly applied for the free kick because it was certainly soft but I suppose we were due one after the horrendous decision we got against us on Saturday!! I'd have to agree with Alfie Stewart getting man of the match but what impressed me was that we kept a clean sheet so I suppose Danny Devine and Remi Savage deserve honourable mentions too 🤔. Finally, I will say that Ross Millen is redeeming himself (was it ever confirmed what he said to the player btw 🤔?) with some good performances, especially his deliveries into the box 👏. 3 more cup finals left so hopefully the same attacking intent in these as we saw tonight 😀. Gypsies definitely going down as I can't see them winning all remaining fixtures 😂.
  10. Good performance and result. Incredible free kick. Potentially difficult game well negotiated. In our own hands again now. Well done to all the players and management.
  11. That feels like a big result to me. Taking nothing for granted, but you'd have to expect to beat bottom of the league Kelty at home on Saturday, and East Fife don't have much to play for at this point. Hopefully Stenny drop points over the next 2 games because I really don't want it going to the last day.
  12. Some free kick that was Once again, the ref is trying his best to stop us, unsure how it wasn't a handball and minutes later a pass back to the keeper
  13. I thought it had gone wide at first. Awesome strike.
  14. That is absolutely outrageous from Alfie!!!
  15. No Room for Error It's almost last chance saloon at the last chance saloon club as we face Peterhead at Balmoor Stadium on Tuesday night with the game kicking off at 19:45. It will also be screened on BBC ALBA for those not able to attend, or BAR94 if you want to watch with a squad of fans at the stadium with a juice of your own choice... A cringeworthy penalty decision against Stenhousemuir on Sunday meant that we remain two points behind the Warriors after the 1-1 draw which saw the three points wrenched from our grasp by an incompetent referee, who up to that point, within reason, had been doing okish albeit a bit pernickety. We play this catch-up game and thereafter all teams will have three games left to decide where the title goes, and likewise relegation for those at the bottom end. As it stands it's still in our own hands but anything other than a win removes that option and puts Stenhousemuir in the driving seat. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Match/Ticket/Bus/info Tickets: £10 Adult, £5 Concession ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Inverness CT 59pts THE RUN IN Stenhousemuir 61pts P'Head 📺 ICTFC 14th April @19:45 STENNY - No ⛔ Game ICTFC v Kelty Hearts 18th April @15:00 Cove v STENNY East Fife v ICTFC 25th April @15:00 STENNY v Alloa ICTFC v Accies 2nd May @15:00 Montrose v STENNY That was our starting XI at Stenhousemuir which saw a few changes from the KDM Final against Raith Rovers. A tough game at Ochilview might have taken it's toll on some but Chanka Zimba was suspended so expect him to feature in this one. Three draws in our last three games is not the form of Champions. Last Six League1: W D W D D D We started this run with a 3-1 home win over Montrose. With Stenny drawing and Alloa losing in midweek, we had a smidgeon of breathing space going into the home game against Cove but that was taken away by a goalkeeper. Balint Demus headed in an equaliser because we failed to put the game to bed when on top. A common theme throughout the season and one which Stenhousemuir took full advantage of by snatching a last minute winner. We bounced back in midweek with a good 3-1 home win over Peterhead with as bizarre an 'offside' goal as you will see gifting the Head their consolation. Zimba x2 & Alonge were our scorers in that one, three going on six. Zimba was Hero to Zero at Alloa scoring the equaliser before being sent off ten minutes later with the game ending at 1-1 and our last League1 game was a poor 1-1 draw under the lights v QotS where Ross Millen followed up on his saved penalty to bundle home and earn us a point. Onto the the KDM final and the only bright spark for us was Alfie Stewart's superb free kick. Alas we gave our opponents too much respect and too many opportunities to take the ball from us and for that we suffered badly. We suffered even more at Ochilview having led for around 70mins when Calum MacLeod's goal was wiped out with one blow of the refs whistle in a 1-1 draw. Meh! Heads team that were maybe surprisingly beaten on Saturday by East Fife. They went down 2-1 at Methil with Craig McGuffie getting their goal. Kieran Shanks has been voted the League1 PotM for March having scored an impressive 5 times during March and a total of 17 for the season. That's a great return from the Peterhead front man! Last Six League1: W L L D W L First of the last six was a an excellent 3-1 win over Alloa, Shanks, McGuffie and an og sealing the points. A last minute goal for Stenny saw them leave Balmoor with a 1-0 win and that was followed by a 3-1 win for none other than the Caley Jags with Shanks getting their rather bizarre goal. Shanks again in a 1-1 draw at home to Montrose and his scoring run continued with a brace at Alloa before Saturdays defeat to the Fifers. 🏆 | William Hill League One 🎪 | Balmoor 🗓️ | 14th April 2026 🕒 | 7.45pm 🚘 | Stadium parking onsite - if car park is full, please use Peterhead Academy car park on Balmoor Terrace 🍺 | Social club open at Balmoor for home and away fans 🍔 | CASH only catering within stadium 📰 | Programmes available to purchase 💷 | 50/50 tickets for sale 🎟️ | Online tickets available via link below 📹 | NO match streaming available ❌ | NO cash turnstiles, tickets can be purchased prior to the game from our ticket office located at the front of the stadium or online. 📞 | Should you require any additional info, please contact the club on 01779 478256 OnlineTickets Fanbase>>> £10 Adult, £5 Concession Pos Team Pld Gd Pts Stenny 33 22 61 ICTFC 32 32 59 Alloa 33 14 50 QotS 33 8 49 🐟 P'Head 32 -10 42 Monty 33 -15 41 E Fife 33 -25 34 Cove 33 -7 31 Accies 33 9 28 Kelty 33 -28 26 You tell them Scott, penalty my
  16. Well that was immensely satisfying! A clear difference from Saturday to last night, at the start of the second half we absolutely went for it, how many times can one team hit the woodwork? Was even impressed by the subs being a bit earlier than normal, although I woild have kept Bavidge on, thought he was terrific. Big shout out to CaleyAway, you only sing when you're fishing 🤣👏👏. I also think you know when its an important goal by how many players come to celebrate, all 10 outfielders here (in full size there was)! Roll on Saturday!
  17. What worries me is we've never beaten Kelty at home...ever. 😬
  18. What worries me most is that Kelty should be desperate to avoid the drop, and Hamilton may well be in a similar situation when we play them. Whereas Alloa should be safely into the playoffs by the time that they play Stenny, and Montrose aren't going anywhere. Cove will want the points, though. It may well go on until the large woman belts out an aria...

  20. So did he when interviewed after the match. Great result and much needed boost for the last three games. I was worried when all those second half chances didn't go in and a perfectly good goal was ruled out by a dodgy off side decision. I can't fault any of the lads, great performance.
  21. Back to winning ways, good for team moral
  22. Well that feels better. Team well set up tonight with good subs at right time. Caleyaway were in fine voice and stuck with them when chances being missed. Hope the home support gets right behind the team on Sat.
  23. I'll happily moan about that ref haha some shocking decisions in that first half Hopefully the team takes confidence from tonight for the last few games
  24. Can’t really fault the team or the manager tonight, apart from a couple of poor attempts on goal perhaps. If we played like that every week we’d be champions already. There won’t be much criticism of the ref this time, but WTF was the linesman doing flagging Alonge when he looked a yard onside!
  25. Right tactics. Right attitude. Right result. And a good performance. Well done all!
  26. Yep, a bit of a sclaff! all count though!!
  27. AlfieB did the work for the second goal. Looking at it Zimba is seemed almost mid kicked the ball into the goals. Game over - in full control. Get a third to put a shine on the result. bc
  28. 2 up now - about flippin’ time!
  29. Lets hope we don't rue taking those two chances and the dodgy looking offside flag.
  30. You'll struggle to see a better free kick than than all season, take a bow Alfie Stewart. Referee has been terrible, some baffling decisions but we'll take the soft free kick. Need to be quicker down the wings, no point in setting up wide then passing in and back. Alonge needs to drop deeper and make himself available more but they are there for the taking. Little bit more intensity and killer balls and we'll open them up more.
  31. Absolute wonder strike from AlfieS. Well on top but my goodness that strike would grace any game in the top division. Don’t rest on the laurels of a one goal lead. Knock in a couple of early second half goals to avoid any pressure at the latter stages of the match. bc
  32. Whisper it: soft free kick 😂😂 But what a strike. Let’s kick on now!
  33. A good half, only really lacking the creation of clear cut chances. Stewart has been brilliant running the midfield.
  34. Gooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaal...
  35. Hope these guys aren’t knackered after 88 mins of game time on Saturday. Not a fan of TV sport, get too distracted at home. Didn’t even watch back nine of masters on Sunday night. So fast start and keep banging in the goals. Or my attention will start to drift towards flicking through the WC qualifiers on offer tonight starting with Scotland v Belgium. Come on ICT do me a favour please.
  36. Pretty sure Zimba is available after suspension, he might get the nod to freshen up some tired legs. I still have a preference for MacIntyre at left back. Horses for courses I suppose. Keep Chalmers on the bench and keep MacLeod involved and Luis and Sole. We need to be 100% committed to winning this one, not resting on our laurels after going one up. Tonight won't decide the title either. The worst that can happen is we remain two points behind. The next worst is that we move one point behind which isn't what we want but it puts us within another draw should Stenny lose a game and our GD is superior. A win will be a good result for the battle tonight, but it won't win the war either as we will only move one point ahead but still within striking distance. If only we never fouled that guy and gave away that penalty... Fine margins between success and failure
  37. Already said to MrCaleyjag this morning this is a HUGE game for us and he said we should all have a positive mental attitude - so with that let's go! We're heading up with our mini CaleyJag, am ever hopeful - see everyone there! Also @tm4tj the ticket prices are different on the website to what you've published above, screenshot included
  38. We hope everyone travelling to Peterhead for tonight's game has an enjoyable evening and safe travels. If you are not going to the match, why not join other Caley Thistle fans and watch the game live together? By popular demand, Bar 94 will be open and showing tonight's game. The bar will open at 1730, with the normal range of refreshments. If you wish to join us, we will be delighted!
  39. Jeezuz... how the feck did Zimba miss that one??????
