  1. My favourite ever visit to Rugby Park. We were playing them off the park and when Dave the Rave got sent off and they converted, I turned to ma boy and said we're still going to win this! They had about 10 minutes of superiority, then we kicked off again and made them look stupid. Confident, controlled, great one touch stuff to which Killie had no answer ..... but what a way to win with 2 goals that will rank among the best you will see all season. Proud.... very proud!!!

  2. That's three times recently we have come back from a goal behind to win games (Hamilton, Dundee and now Kilmarnock). That is something we rarely managed to do in the past. Incidentally, in all three games it is Billy who has scored the equaliser. Whilst it clearly shows great spirit in the team to win games we've been trailing in, it rather disguises the fact that we have gone behind in 7 or our last league 10 games. In those games we have scored 15 goals with 3 in the first half and 12 in the second. Our opponents have scored 13 with 6 in the first half and 7 in the second. We seem to be very much a second half team at the moment. Anyhow, rather than analyse that intriguing statistic I'll just add my congratulations to the boys for a great comeback in difficult circumstances. After the penalty it became one of those games where you are happy to come away with a draw, but to get a win is just fantastic. It is this sort of result ground out during the year that makes such a big difference to the position at the end of the season.

  3. What a great result. I thought it was all over when I heard we went one down and Raven off. That win, showing real bottle, should give us a real boost. Well done to all concerned. Deservedly up to 3rd at the moment.

  4. We rode our luck a little at 1-0 - if Mcgennis hadn't missed that open goal we may not have come back, but apart from 10 minutes after the penalty we bossed the game and didn't look in any real trouble. At 1-1 only one team wanted to win. The killie play acting was embarrassing, and I am glad I don't have to watch that pish every week. Deserved winners, and justice was done in the end.

  5. What this has shown everybody is that ICT are not just going to drift away. After a terrible December whispers started about us slipping but 3 wins (2 away) have let others know the team are not going away from the race at the top. Next week is a game to look forward to now.

  6. A superb win with the team digging deep to come from a goal down and with 10 men. Great to be be back in the top 3 and 3 wins in the row in 2015.

  8. Excellent game after we went one down we dug in and bossed the game . Brilliant goals well executed.. Nick Ross played a blinder today. The pitch really suited us we look very comfortable on it.

  9. Billy has scored our last 4 goals, securing 3 wins. A few weeks ago during his drought it was noted that we were doing well and weren't dependent on Billy for goals, which was a good thing. Now we are doing well thanks largely to his goals, which is also good thing. Heads we win, tails they lose.

  10. Tremendous result from being a goal down and with 10 men. According to the beeb, Billy's first goal resembled Gascoigne's against Scotland in Euro 96!! Can this really be true? Great he's found his shooting boots again, his price has just gone up. And with DU and Hamilton taking points off each other on Monday, it's looking good for league position. The match with DU will be fascinating.

  12. Yogi asked him to rise to the occasion and felt it was the yeast he could do. He couldnt so he was toast. The player commented it was "much a dough about muffin"

  13. Think he trained with us for a couple of weeks whilst staying with family up here. Don't think it was ever with intention of signing him. There was talk of Hughes trying to get him on a short term deal IIRC. Asking him to play for free for a bit was quoted as well I think. Doughnut get me wrong, but expecting him to play for free is pie in the sky!

  17. Lazy cut and paste from a similar topic of your five favourite footballing moments of 2014. Two aren't strictly ICT but there are (tenuous) links to us so they can stay in for all I care! 1) ICT 2 - 2 Hearts (ICT win 4 - 2 on penalties) League Cup Semi Final Down to nine men, going into injury time and trailing 2 - 1. Up steps Nick Ross to fire home the equaliser and send the game into extra time. A great Dean Brill save from Hamillin the penalty spot and ICT eventually, against all the odds, win the shoot out and are off to their first major final ever. Let's ignore the final though :( http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25900500 2) Ross County 0 - 3 ICT An absolute pumping of Ross County at a venue where we hadn't won in 10 years (although mos of those years we were in separate divisions). I like the Staggies fan at around 4:50 who makes to throw a bottle at Watkins but thinks better of it and backs down. 3) Terry Butcher joining Hibs I was disappointed to see him go to Hibs but in a fabulous bout of schadenfreude ICT fans were able to see Butcher fail spectacularly and take Hibs into the SFL1 after a laughable run of results. I suspect he won't regret the move but sometimes I do wonder what we might have achieved that season had he stayed with us. Still 4) My favourite ICT goal of 2014 this Aaron Doran strike v Ross County in another derby win in Dingwall 5) Jamie Hamill v Derek Adams. Nothing more needs to be said here

Aaron Doran looks likely to have pulled on the Caley Jags strip for the last time after limping off against Raith Rovers last Friday. Sean McAllister returning was a bonus though but the mystery deepens as to why Roddy MacGregor, Austin Samuels and Nikola Ujdur are not featuring either on the injury list or the team list. Baffling to be honest as Roddy has the midfield attributes required, Austin has the speed and potential and Nikola in my opinion, if fit, would be my first choice on the team sheet. Are these guys on the way out? Add to that seven or eight loan players, then next season will see a massive restructure and rebuild at the Caledonian Stadium. I imagine the board members are squirming in their seats like Angela van den Bogerd at a Post Office inquiry.

    • Inverness CT 0-1 Raith Rovers - Report
Inverness threatened the Raith goal and but for Kevin Dabrowski and his bar they could have been dead and buried at the interval. No score at the break and all to play for in the second half. Vaughan opened the scoring early in the second half and Samuel almost levelled but his shot from distance cannoned away off the post. The crossbar was hit a further twice but the goal would not come. Despite peppering the Raith goal, MotM Dabrowski would not be beaten with a string of saves ranging from brilliant to miraculous.

The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.
