  1. Funny isn't it how some fans get so into their football team so much that they think that goading opposing fans makes them more of a supporter. If you want to be a 'bigger fan' get in touch with the club and see if they could do with a hand with anything.

  2. Not convinced that we should have had a foul for the opening goal. At the game I never saw what happened and from the highlights it looks like Polworth pretty much falls over. Regardless, it was sloppy by Vigurs to then get caught on the ball as he did and Aberdeen were still a fair distance from goal anyway so as much as the players looked to blame Allan I don't think we covered ourselves in glory anyway. I did wonder if Rooney was perhaps offside what with the new rules on this but meh. Cracking equaliser from Vigurs. As alternative maryhill mentioned I was also desperate for him to be subbed as he was really poor again. Slack passes, minimal effort trying to win the ball back and then he goes and does that. Just wish he would apply himself a bit more because he is talented but just doesn't seem to care a lot of the time. Interesting interactions between our fans and the stewards. I've no idea what happened or what was said but after Aberdeen scored their fans gave our support a fair bit of stick. No issue with that. The Vigurs goal obviously gave us a chance to give it back which we did and a few lads seemed to get chucked out on the back of this. I did spot a steward go flying and there seemed to be some chat that he was pushed over but also that he was shoving some of the young kids as well. Bit of a mess to say the least! Good performances from Tansey and Draper I thought. Our best player was probably McKay. He was out of position a couple of times in the first half but for the most part he seemed comfortable at right back, gave some good support down the flank and linked well with Polworth. Doran also looked quite tidy when he came on as well. I'd like to see us play with a proper right winger ahead of McKay or Horner because Polworth was always cutting inside and didn't really give much support to McKay at RB when he did get forward. A lot of the time our ventures down that side saw the ball played back infield to find a team mate rather than continue the attack down the wing and try and get a cross in for the likes of Fisher or Doumbouya to attack.

  3. Overall a good performance, I thought Aberdeen created a bit more in the final third and had a few really good chances but our defence held strong and are starting to look a lot more composed unit, MacKay at RB is an improvement on Horner and the faltering Raven, he could make that his permanent position going forwards. Another great Draper performance today and a fantastic finish from Vigurs, although I do still feel he is slow at build up play and often stops the game too dead and brings pace out of our attacks at times. Good to see Doran come on and he certainly showed some good touches. Definately signs of improvement although Celtic may be a much stronger test that the Dons, where the strength and ariel ability of Doumbaye may edge it over Fisher but today both played well. Sad to see the antics of the younger fans or 'singing section' today, abuse shouted about Shinnie and cheering his injury, arguing with stewards then on leaving the stadium throwing metal secuirty barriers and signs about, then shouting abuse at Aberdeen fans (including those with children) on the walk back into town. When I approached one of them regarding throwing barriers around suggesting its not a good image for our club I was told 'we dont care'. Well I do, this club has worked hard and I believe have a good relationship with all rival fans therefore dont want this to start being affected by the minority or having fans put off attending away games. While some may say its only barriers and signs or just fun, I see it as a lack of respect of others property and surroundings, so after issues with behaviour at the St J game and now this, its maybe time to reign the behaviour back in as its not welcome.

  5. Whilst we generally look to win games against bottom 6 sides, we can consider this to be an excellent point! Well done guys.

  6. Apologies if this has been pointed out elsewhere on this thread but for the sake of good order I would point out that JD Sports wholly own Carbrini and are the sole outlet which sells said brand. They are one and the same and any attempt by JD to point the finger of blame at third parties is frankly laughable. One presumes that there will be appropriate termination provisions within our contract which I would anticipate can be activated in the case of material breach of JD/Carbrini's delivery obligations. It's surely quite inconceivable that we would persevere with a supplier (sic) who have repeatedly demonstrated that they are incapable of managing their internal supply chain. It beggars belief that JD/Carbrini have conspired to make the far from reliable Errea look like paragons of virtue. One hopes someone's on the phone to their Parma HQ as we speak. I don't buy replica gear myself but ymip Jr has been waiting months to purchase the new kit. Considering it'll be out of date by May it hardly seems worth wasting his cash on this season's kit. As an aside I would imagine our various kit sponsors are suitably un-chuffed by this shambolic state of affairs.

  7. If these are the same youngsters that misbehaved after the St Johnstone game then we need to stamp out this nonsense right away. I thought they were Perth casuals at first and took some photos of them whilst walking back along Longman Road into town in the event that they caused trouble. I did see one of them being very abusive to a motorist at the entrance to Lorimers and thought about going into Burnett Road Police Station to report it. However, I thought this would be a waste of time and decided to continue on my walk into town. It does seem that someone needs to keep an eye on them for future matches though. I wasn't at Pittodrie on Saturday but those I saw after the St Johnstone game were mostly dressed in black, no ICT colours and some tried to cover their faces with hoodies and scarves.

  8. The real concern is that, on this genuine international platform as opposed to the County Council which is Holyrood, this bunch of immature cretins will be taken by the rest of the world as representative of Scottish people in general. One further concern is that Grady and Monaghan may be publicly identified as former pupils of Inverness Royal Academy. I mean the "Rough Boys" from the High School never produced total roasters like this!

  9. Were you at the game? Horner had one of the best games he's ever had for us and you want to drop Fisher who was excellent again St Johnstone.

  10. One of them brought us up to our highest ever league position he also coached, directed and helped us win our best ever silverware. I for one will be eternally grateful and I will not be the only one. Others can think what they like. Thank you John Hughes.

  11. I remember the clown who put down this early day motion when he was a pupil at Inverness Royal Academy! He was a raging, rabid nat even when he was a kid and seems to have regressed since then. http://www.parliament.uk/edm/2016-17/393 It's idiots like Patrick Grady and his pals that make you ashamed to be Scottish. If Grady finds a pressing need to put down an Early Day Motion he should go to the toilet first thing like everybody else. There he will doubtless produce material which will be more than familiar to himself and his fellow members of the 56, 55, 54. On which subject, I notice that numbers 56 and 55, are signatories of this motion along with 22 of their SNP former chums plus one lunatic from each of the Tories, DUP and Labour Party. Inevitably the arch-attention seeker Salmond is in there. This episode does, however, give a revealing insight into what goes on in the heads of nationalist inadequates like Grady and the crass immaturity which they have so clearly failed to shake off. Against their better judgement and largely for lack of too many alternatives, the people of Scotland elected these fools to represent them with respect to vital national functions. The manner in which they persistently behave is therefore grossly insulting to most of the population of Scotland whom they represent and is typical of the contempt in which these nationalists hold the people who have been misguided enough to vote for them.

    • Hamilton -V- Inverness CT - Play off Final 1st Leg - Preview
However all is not well and we just kept our heads above water thanks to Arbroath being rubbish. Onto the play offs and an insipid performance at Links Park left us all wondering if our time has come to drop into oblivion. Our performance certainly would not look out of place in the lower leagues. We clung on for a 0-0 draw away from home and scraped a 1-0 win at Inverness with Billy Mckay saving our blushes. Everything about the club has negative undertones at the moment.

    • Inverness CT 1-0 Montrose Play-Off Second Leg (0-0)
Little Consolation: Inverness will face Hamilton Accies in the Play-Off final after nervously scraping past part-time Montrose who were eventually reduced to ten men when Blair Lyons was sent off after an off the ball incident in the 84th minute involving Morgan Boyes. Inverness had dominated throughout, but failed to capitalise on their possession, and as per the entire season failed to create much of note. The first half was livlier than the first leg, but the same problems showed up our lack of quality. We started with no wingers and Billy Mckay as usual in a withdrawn role. It's not worked all season, so why should it suddenly work now. A woeful first half ended goalless and it was on the hour and out of the blue when Billy Mckay prodded in from three yards to score the only goal of the game following a corner

    • Inverness CT -V- Montrose - Second Leg (0-0)
As much as we have criticised the Caley Jags performance on Tuesday night, let's not lose sight of the fact that Montrose are a decent League 1 side with a good blend of experience and talented prospects. For our part, let's keep them as a good League 1 side and that means no room for faffing about. Time has run out now, there's no hiding places and no room for shirkers. Ditch the sideways passing or put goal posts in front of the Main Stand and tuck shops.

    • Montrose 0-0 Inverness CT - Play Off 1st Leg
      FULL TIME: 0-0

All to play for on Saturday, but don't hold your breath...

However, if we continue like this, it will be our final game this season.

Best performer for us was Samson Lawal, the only bright spark on the field.

Alloa 2-2 Hamilton was the other semi-final score tonight. On this evidence, I doubt either side will be quaking in their boots.

    • Inverness CT 3-1 Morton - Report
It was a lovely evening for a game of football, what could possibly go wrong? Well, what did go wrong was Queen's Park beat an understrength Airdrie 2-0 at Hampden, therefore despite beating Morton 3-1, Inverness head for the play-offs. Morgan Boyes opened the scoring with a thumping volley after half an hour. Kirk Broadfoot benefited from slack defending to level before the break then proceeded to earn the wrath of the home support with an embarrassing celebration in front of the North Stand. Cammy Harper relieved Billy Mckay of penalty kick duties and duly slotted home from the spot ten minutes after the break. The scoring was completed just after the hour when Sean McAllister drilled home into the bottom corner. Robbie Muirhead had been sent off for simulation then taking a wee fit to himself and was promptly sent off after 58 minutes just after Harper had knocked in his penalty kick, probably aggrieved that he never earned a spot kick for his dramatic dive.
