  1. I think for most teams in the SPL (barring Celtic, Rangers and Hearts who have huge first team squads with lots of fringe players) there is quite a step up in skill level between the reserves and the first team. we are currently 8th in the reserve league table which shows that we must be doing something right with the reserves. In the past we havent had too many problems with fringe players coming in and stepping their game up and i certainly hope that with Rory its just a case of getting confidence and finding his feet in the SPL. I for one would like to see younger players such as Wood get a shot in the team before the end of the season
  2. Alan Shearer?? Ya beauty!! :023:
  3. PAATELINEN!!!
  4. I would like to hope that this is seen as an opportunity to blood younger players, Maybe give Guy Kerr a shot at centre half? Zander and Markus to start?
  5. Ive never seen him play so cant really comment. That said we have benefitted from Aberdeens wasteful nature before so could be worth a look
  6. ha ha Great news
  7. Cant see us reproducing the form that we had over the last few games of last season. i'd guesstimate W-L-L-W-D of course i'd love to be proved wrong

  10. It was exhibition stuff last night, so many good perfomances on the park and hard to single out any one in particular, go's to show how Man Utd can win games in the champions league with only one or two players performing at their best but when almost all of their players are at their best (as in last nights case) they are almost unstoppable. Hard one to call for the cup but if Man u can play like that for the rest of the competition then i think the teams left will struggle to beat them.
  11. That sounds pretty good to me, the only addition i would say is to be one automatic relegation place for bottom placed club and one play off position to be played between the second bottom club and second top club in the first division
  12. Dont really mind which team goes down but at a push would say i'd prefer Dumfermline to stay up
  13. McAllister IIRC, only briefly got a glimpse of the P and J before leaving for work today.

  17. The article said it was Cletic's idea to farm him out for a season so I'm pretty sure it's OK with Strachan :015: ha ha ha, totally got the wrong end of the stick, was skimming through not paying proper attention, thought it was a thread asking if he were to become available should be be interested. woops ha ha, who are cletic anyway? :004:
  18. Scotsport used to be on it but i due to the fact its pish ive cancelled that, now its only CSI, Bones and House. Plus anything that takes my fancy in adverts, that reminder thing you can use now is pretty useful too, the green button thingymajiggy
  19. If he was available then he would be a great signing, however i cant see the little ginger man letting him go unfortunately
  20. Some very valid points there, i dont think anyone that posts on this site is against replying/arguing/debating negative posts but everyone has the right to post what they want be it negative or postive without being drawing into a slanging match for expressing their views. A factor which makes a site popular is healthy debate with good points on both sides however too often on this site anyone who puts a negative post up is either shot down or slated where debating or challening the point would be better for everyone. I'm all for challenging posts, debating posts, even arguing posts as long as it does not descend into name calling or the singling out of posters whow choose to speak out against the status quo. Criticism is healthy and is essential in the quest for progress, what is naive is to think that everything is rosy all the time. Criticism should not be criticised (if that makes sense) but as you say challeneged and debated.
  21. Havent seen any of the rangers game but by all reports it sounded like Caff had an outstanding game, i can see no further benefit of having Dods in the team, we have resurrected his career and had a very good defender thrown into the bargain therefore i feel neither party owes each other anything and the team should build for next season with the personell comitted to the future of ICT

    Dods

Simple answer to this one, yes, Dods should be dropped for the rest of the season. Caff to be reinstated for the rest of the season.
  23. Criticism should not be censored, but when a healthy debate degenerates into name calling and/or threads emerging to mock or call into question views then censorship should come into force. My interpretation of an un-official club site would be a place where fans, can log onto to discuss, debate or air their own views without being slated or mocked. Recently i have noticed any healthy criticism being slated and anyone who dares to speak against the consensus being targeted for doing so. We are all entitled to our own opinion and this site should not allow people to feel apprehensive about speaking out against the norm. I Know of quite a few people who now do not visit this site purely for the fact that they do not feel they can speak freely without being slated for doing so.

  25. Extremely high praise indeed and more than justified IMO. I would certainly rather have Granty in my team than Papac or Hutton or Ian murray for that matter! He has been outstanding this season, i'd be delighted to see him as future captain of ICT, certainly sooner rather than later too i'd hope, viable candidate when Dods leaves?
