Basically if ICT are not ahead and coasting by Christmas we can forget a return to the SPL this season. They have to be out in front or they willnot be abe to sustain the increased effort required to win it. Just a thought.

And what is so great about County then? And maybe we should be watching Stratford for motivation since it sounds like he was getting irritable at the way the game was going --maybe he has a bit of temper or rebellion in him--GOOD. To those of us who think that one swallow ( defeat ) does not make a summer just remembrer that County are now 6 points better off than ICT in a league which clearly offers a bigger challenge to ICT than we could have thought possible. ! This is not fearmongering by timid minds, folks. It is reality. But it does not concern me as much as thew next point :- Especially if the measure of the defeat is based on lack of effort, lack of organisation, lack of motivation and lack of spirit and determination..as seems to be the case in this instance. This may not be a crisis yet folks ,but in these circumstances ...."beware the bogey man".

The reason, as youse yins all ken, is that Barrowman has to be on the pitch fairly often (i.e when he is fit) toj ustify his large and largely unproductiuve (so it seems ) salary. So how is that going to change any time soon? No doubt some of the upper echelon in Management are often holding their heids in their hauns wondering what to do with a player like Maria (Soundof Music chaps and chappesses....geez, youse are sae slow the noo. Onyhoo ,I dinnae like either of them but remember these few words of wisdom as we go forward ( in modern parlance ,like ): If a player is lacking in confidence he must show the Manager that he is worth the salary by trying harder, training harder, requesting help in whatever area he thinks he is deficient and on match day WORK harder to get on with it AND TO GET OVER IT. IN OTHER WORDS...SORRY! COMPENSATION SHOULD NOT BE PAID FOR ALLEGED WORK UNLESS THE EFFORT IS OBVIOUS REGARDLESS OF WHETHER HE IS FAILING OR NOT. And if the player is not performing on the park then another player should be tried out and given his chance since the former is NOT contributing to the team and in general is actually contributing to the malaise spreading through the team as time goes on. After all, if he can continue to get his place in the team without actual;;ly contributing a great deal is is not natural that his example will be emulated by other lazy players as well? Go to Dingwall and ....tink.. about it.

EXACTLY!!!!!! Move Lionel up front , even on the wing and let him run the opposition ragged, Can't be bad and if it silences the bood boys on here tyhat will be great too. Lionel has something intangible in his personality that people like --a sort of honesty of approac h and a fallibilty that hides our own faults so..... Scarlet baby love Lionel. Eh Caley D?

Well now ,just let's see! Lionel has in the past performed heroics and saved the day for ICT by having the will, the energy and the determination to run back from afar to somehow just get in a superb tackle to prevent a certain score.I have seen it with my own eyes. So is it not so very tedious to hear the negativity on here in this thread abou hisn alleged most recent poor performance. I have advised the Manager in the past to play Lionel on the wing where he could do no harm if he makes a mistake and probably would destroy the oposing right back's confidence completely with his athleticism and determination and powerful shot. But the Manager persists in playing Lionel as a back where, inevitably, at this stage he is probably going to make a mistake. Is that Lionel's fault then? Is that not the fault of the selectiuon committe of one or two or however many persons there are in deciding the team. Does it not show some brittleness and a lack of flexibility in those who are picking the team? Wingers are supposed to be pacy and be able to get past their man in order to swing hard balls across the face of the goal or pressure the defence and so what is wrong with at least tryng Lionel out in that position. I mean if he is SOOOOOO bad what the hairoil have all the fantastic forwards currently in the ranks of the ICT team been able to achieve so far this season--they made plenty of mistakes did they not and sure as heck have not done their job of scoring goals very often have they so why not severely chastise and boo them also..EH? That is, if you think that will have the slightest positive effect other than demoralising the player? 'nuff said! S.P.

I am hoping that you will never tell the Scarlet Pimple what you think of his personality in case you engender a male crisis but you can email me any time since I STILL cannot fathom him out ... he's about as convoluted and opinionated as a corkscrew on acid, sigh. Thank you folks. I simplty ran the "OPEN ALL MIKES" link on this threadso were not lost for long but I don'tlike the Sportsound format any more. Sounds to me that there is not the same spirit in this team.Perhaps the poster who said aliens in the team do not have the samefeeling. I sincerely hope thta TB's policy of bringing in foreigners (incl. Englaners) works. But he better get a rocket up their bottoms and make them realise that this is serious stuff and pride must play it's part. SIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
